This volume is told from Beast's perspective. I enjoyed this a whole lot better than the first volume. There was more detail and focus on his character and development. It was well done and a nice change from reading and watching Belle's perspective all the time. The art is really nice, although it had a lot of simple backgrounds for most of the panels. (I'm a sucker for detail, and the characters and some of the backgrounds were really great.)

A better book, perhaps, coming in the light of the Belle volume – here we can easily see which beats are common, with illustrations the same in both books and yet different voice-over narratives to convey the sense, in this instance, of the beast. There's more fun to be had with his gloomy introspection than there is in her pretty-pretty gazing about the place – and more depth to the side characters from the living castle, telling him how to get the best of the leads' burgeoning relationship.

This story shows parts about the Beast/Prince that I didn't know before (issues with his parents and such). The reader is able to know what he's thinking in different situations. Getting inside his head gives him so much more personality than in all of the B&TB tales I've seen before. I liked witnessing his interactions with the enchanted help. The action sequences really caught my attention, and I loved the cute little chapter break drawings. I've been wanting to watch the new movie, and knowing this manga comics are based upon it makes more excited to see it.

This is beautiful! I loved this. I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy. I love the new take (based off the new movie) and I love the Manga adaptation! This is a new favorite of mine. LOVE!

Book 2 in this series is the same tale but told from the Beast's point of view. It tells the tale of him turning into the Beast and the enchantment and then being alone in the castle until Belle and her father burst into his life.
I actually enjoyed the Beast's point of view for this tale, maybe it was because we normally don't get it, but it was very interesting. I liked that we got to see how he saw the events unfolding.
Again like the last installment this follows the movie almost exactly. The illustration was wonderful. I think the only way I could have enjoyed it more would have been without the GIANT watermarks on the review copy so I could see more of the image details.

Copy received through NetGalley
I am reviewing both volumes in one.
This was my first experience with Manga, and it was really fun. I loved the style of the art work.
I had an interesting experience with the way it was told, it took me a while to get accustomed to the story in this form (I am somewhat emotionally attached to the cartoon version), but I liked it overall. Getting the Beast's side of the story in Vol. II was an awesome follow-up, the two volumes compliment each other well. I really enjoyed them.

I liked this better than the new cinematic version but not as much as the original Disney movie or fairy tale. This contains Besutiful illustrations and dialogue from the 2017 movie.

This is a two volume middle-grade, direct adaptation of Disney's 2017 film "The Beauty and the Beast" in manga format. I'm reviewing both volumes together because I don't see the need for separate reviews for either book. Volume 1: Belle's Tale is told entirely in Belle's point of view and Volume 2 from the Beast's.
This is definitely intended for younger readers as there isn't a lot of complexity or depth to the storylines and it is very quick reading. Reading from an adult's point of view it falls flat and I wasn't feeling the magic, even though it sticks close to the movie. The prologue in Volume two was a bit strange and felt tacked on.
Overall, the graphics were nice but I wasn't blown away and I preferred the Beast's point of view to Belle's. It's a nice companion to the movie but not a necessary one unless your kids are die-hard fans.

Great book. I loved the different point of views for each book. It was well done and followed the new movie very, very closely.

Loved this Volume just as much as the first one.
I really love everything about those two and can't wait to buy them for myself in Print Version.

This book was an improvement from the one prior. Getting inside the mind of the beast was such a fascinating experience and I could really sympathy for him. The art work was beautiful, except at the beginning the prince looked a little creepy and very different than at the end. There was still no colour and some parts seemed weird as to not how the beast would think, in my opinion, but still didn't take too much away. Overall this was a nice finally to the short series/duology.

A Manga version of the recent Disney live-action film and from the Beast's perspective. It follows the movie storyline very closely (as does Belle's tale). I mentioned this comment before, but I do think the Manga version of the Beast is better! Nice to see the story in a different format. For Manga and BatB fans.
Net Galley Feedback

I received a free advanced e-copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This manga goes with the movie released this year.
I loved reading this in both Belle and the Beasts voice. I loved the movie and this manga series too!

I think I liked this Volume better than the first one as I could see where the stories corresponded and match them together to make a full story. The illustrations were again, beautiful.

This is a manga adaptation of Disney's Beauty and the Beast movie. It is told in Beast's perspective. I like the concept of having twin books. The downside is that some scenes are repetitive. The same pages were used from the Belle's perspective book. The illustrations are beautiful like typical mangas. Nothing new about the plot but I still want to have a hard copy of these books.

Fabulous! Just bought them for my own collection because they were just that good :)

I loved this! It was just as beautifully sketched as Belle's Tale. I loved how you got to see some of Beast's thoughts! I did excpected more of those thoughts, there were only a few. Nevertheless, I still love how the movie was made into this beautiful manga.

I was very glad to have the chance and review this manga too, along with the first volume! The story is told from the Beast's perspective and it's so sad. His despair has caused many of the actions we see in the movie as also at some point it explains why Belle could never leave from the castle with the help of a certain book.
I enjoyed the art more here but my only drawback was the art in the wolf fight. It felt more like a sketch rather than a completed fighting scene.
But in the end this little gem was fantastic!
