Hell's Butcher starts not long after the events in Hell's Marshal takes place.
I personally enjoyed both books.
I think Frank and his motley crew of dead are fascinating reading.
The opening scene alone with the train driver had me chuckling away in public like a lunatic.
Definitely recommend you try this series out.

Another amazing chapter in the adventures of Frank Butcher. This will certainly guarantee Barili's place as a master of the genre.

Hells Butcher, book two in the Hells Butcher series by Chris Barili was received direct from the publisher. First, I have never heard of the Hells Butcher series or of this author. While the book is very imaginative I kind if felt I needed to read the first book of the series first as what I interpreted as going on did not quite match up with the description of the book. Maybe it was just me though. The book did not bog down in boring dialogue and if you like "cowboy horror," this is a series to give a try to.
