What to say about this book? Well, it had some good things going for it. Famous Scottish H, Tropical location, Resort, Vacation. Those are the selling points, but some things I didn't like? Naming your vagina Miss Muffin lol. It's funny but in some of the context was down right silly, and during sex scenes or build up to sex scenes was distracting.

It's supposed to be a comedy, and some things I did find chuckle inducing but I wasn't a barrel of laughs either. This book took entirely too long for me to have enjoyed myself. My main issue was with Blaine being famous and not mentioning it to Janie. Completely understandable but after spending time with her he should have told her sooner. The other issue I took with was that Janie was thinking about using Blaine as her meal ticket for her blog, which doesn't really make sense if she was writing about snakes. Yea, she's a part time snake handler for a petting zoo when she's home. I just didn't like how the book wasn't cohesive. There were several points where I was like how the hell did we get here. In one I particularly remember, in the previous chapter we had Blaine's POV which a week has passed and he's home in Scotland, in the next chapter we get Janie still in Thailand, and then the chapter after that she's suddenly home. It didn't make sense. Not only that but the way that Janie explained her hometown made it seem...worse than it was and that her family was overbearing. When we do finally get to meet her brothers and father that appears to be far from the case.

I just didn't really completely enjoy this book. I wanted to DNF it several times. It just was slow and the romance was just ok.

I want to thank the publisher, author and NetGalley for providing me with this book free for an open honest review. All opinions in this review are mine and mine alone

Her Scottish Mistake is A Perfect Escape romantic comedy written by author Michele de Winton. Very funny. This would be a great audible book. Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing/ Lovestruck for the advance copy.

This is a fun romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. In it, Janie is on the vacation of a lifetime in Thailand where she meets an attractive man who quickly rushes to her rescue. But while she is honest about herself, Blaine isn't even honest about his name.

I loved the way their romance developed and loved even more the majesty of Thailand that the author brought to life. She painted a picture with her words that felt so real that it was as though I was seeing it through her eyes.

Reading about Blaine and Janie's romance as it developed was a delight that made me smile. Fans of the genre will love this book and it should be at the top of their TBR. I'm adding the author to my must read authors' list.

Blaine sometimes needs to clear up what he means, “I didn’t mean your *** stuck out. I meant your skirt makes me want to look at it, to run my hands over it.” As he spoke he put his words into action as he stayed seated on the couch..." I really liked this book, Janie didn't play games, the girl gave it to Blaine straight.
