I tried. I really tried. I so wanted to give this book a good review, but I just couldn't get into it. I found it far too full of telling with little showing and although there was something quaint about the characters, there wasn't enough depth for me to really care what happened to them. It didn't read like a modern novel/mystery so much as something from the 1940s, so if you enjoy that style, you'll love this.
