Great for the purpose intended but otherwise rather tricky.

This book is well divided into topics and so far I've dipped in and out of areas of interest to me. As this is not the type of book where I personally would start reading at page 1 and then proceed through page by page, it will take a while to complete and will be treated as a reference manual. It is a good revision of numerical topics and gives many scenarios which show how the theory can be applied. I would recommend this book to those who wish to sharpen their numeracy skills and as a result, their confidence, before going for an interview or starting a new job. Also, it is good fun to work through the exercises, some more challenging than others: it could be used as an educational puzzle book. Reading the book has encouraged me to look at some of the others in the series.
