Ever wonder what it would be like to dine out with your dragon? Here's a little hint: DON'T DO IT! Do Not Take Your Dragon To Dinner is a fun, silly rhyming book that kids will enjoy, they will shout out loud, they will shake their heads and wag their fingers right along chiming in, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRAGON TO DINNER.

Adorable! Mt daughter loved this cute book! She's also a new reader and could read it mostly by herself! Perfect!

I really enjoyed this fun book. Great illustrations... some of which I laughed out loud at. Will put this on my 'read aloud list. I can already hear the students joining in the "Do Not Take Your Dragon to Dinner" line throughout.

XD

This book is incredibly cute!!

Julie Gassman has written an endearing tale using rhymes to add a lyrical quality to her book that will make it fun for kids to read and adults to read aloud. My kids made me read it a second time because whenever we got to the line “Do Not Take Your Dragon To Dinner” they shouted it out loud with glee and abandoned into laughter. I can see this has quickly become a new favorite we’ll be reading at bedtime with regularity.

Andy Elkerton did a wonderful job illustrating the art work so it truly brings out the fun of Gassman’s story. The colors are vibrant and well chosen as they seem to pop off the page. I was especially happy to see he chose to use such a wide diversity in gender and ethnicities when it came to the various people used to portray this story.

I thought the inclusion of learning manners in order to be a proper dinner guest was perfectly suited to the story especially one for kids so hopefully they’ll pick up on that bit and put the advice into practice rather than act like dragons at the dinner table.
