This book is recommended for girls from 9 to 13 yr, and I think it does a good job in showing how to make some very easy and trendy accessories for the bedroom. Although I think some are more suitable for the lower end of the age scale; all very simple to make and easily altered if taste change. I know my granddaughter would love some of the ideas and I will help her make some for her room.

A nice resource for aspiring interior decorators, or for teenage girls who are bored to death with their current rooms and not finding anything they like on Pinterest. Would recommend as an addition to a YA nonfiction collection.

Nice little book with some very cute ideas. I liked that it highlighted places where parental consent would be good

A lovely book, beautifully illustrated. I loved all the projects and the inspiration they gave to think up some of your own. The only think I thought could have been expanded a bit was the instructions. For example, the draw insert boxes needed more instructions on how to fold the paper around the boxes to ensure it is neat and tidy. A diagram would have been really helpful. But overall a lovely book, definitely one to mull over.

What a lovely book - such great ideas for bedrooms and ideal for younger teens who need some encouragement to sort their rooms out! There are also quite a few ideas here that are perfect for older people to steal too! Gorgeous photos really add to this lovely book - I'd definitely buy this for my nieces.

This has a lot of fun and useful DYI projects for the whole family. I will be doing the dresser project with my granddaughter this summer.

Simple, smart and practical! This DIY room projects are easy and amazing. Thinking you can refurbish a simple chair and turning it into an accent one. I can be a total DIY-er with this book for a starter like me.

Room Love by Heather Wutschke is such an adorable DIY book to make any young girls room from drab to fab! While some projects need parental supervision or permission, most are easy to do for any pre-teen to teen. This book is filled with great ideas that will not break the bank for the parents either! I just loved the stencil pattern ideas for plain wood doors and drawers! With 50 projects to choose from, your teen will have plenty to do during her free time! And friends or parents can have fun helping too! Filled with beautiful pictures and easy how-to instructions, Room Love will not disappoint! Great for girls 10 and up!

Some great ideas, but more for the novice or young person finding their way.
Very simple, but clever, ways to create your own personal style.
Mid teen girls, who have had a crafty influence all their lives, may want to try many options to create their own style.
Definitely a great book for gift giving.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review!

I just love DIY, I love making my space even more pretty than it already is. These days it is much less since I got a whole apartment, but back when I had just one room I loved making it even more beautiful and more fun to be in.

There are some projects that I would love to do, and probably will be doing. Like the covering of a closet door, my closet is white, plus has some dents and bumps, so I would like to cover those. Or dressing up my cabinets with washi tape (everyone seems to be hyped about that stuff). Also the stencilling of my dressers or doors. <3 I can't wait to try it out.

Not all projects were to my liking, and some just seemed to be the same project only then used for something different. Like the nail polish, the calendar, the sunglasses projects.
And then there were some that just looked like someone didn't do much effort (the disco ball).

Plus I had a little snicker when I saw those fairy lights and that they formed a word. It reminded me of a scene or two in Stranger Things. :P

But all in all, I just loved the projects, and I would highly recommend it to everyone who wants to do some DIY and needs some ideas. Most of the projects are fairly easy to do, and you can easily find the stuff needed for them. The photographs are clear and sharp, and the instructions are easy to follow and explain everything clearly.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair review from NetGalley.

I really enjoyed looking at these DIY projects and actually tried a few of these for my daughter. She loved them! Each project is well explained and not hard to do, even my daughter was able to help with each project. I'll be adding a full review on my blog soon!

Room Love: 50 DIY Projects to Design Your Space is a crafty book full of creative projects to make your room cozy, serene, and functional.

The book covers fabrics, furniture makeovers, organizing (including shoes & clothes), stenciling, scents, wall decor, curtains, and more! This book is for girls, but some of the ideas can be used for boy's rooms as well. Although we loved every page and project, a few favorites are the furry kitty desk chair transformation, nail polish display, and dresser makeover.

The author has a knack for creativity and these projects are brilliant! It's packed full of photos. All the projects are easy and step by step.

This would be a wonderful gift.

This book has fantastic DIY for teens and tweens. My daughter is currently redoing her room and came across quite a few things that she wants to use. The format is easy to read, directions are clear and the photos are fantastic! Job well done!

I loved the colourful interiors suggested by the book, but as far as the ideas are concerned there was nothing I haven't already seen on Pinterest. High five for all the photos and bright colours, but the book seriously lacks the 'something new factor'.
