This was really well-written (no surprise - Nina Croft! :) ), with characters that I liked immediately and wanted to know more about. The story and world are compelling as well. I don't tend to read a lot of erotica, especially not paranormal erotica, but figured I would give this a shot because it sounded interesting.... I was alright with most of the erotic scenes, but menage-a-trois really isn't my thing, so I basically skipped through the scene near the end of this.

I will say, though, that this has the makings for a fantastic short series and, if erotic paranormal romance is your thing, I would definitely recommend checking this one out! It's got some darkness thrown in (it IS about alien slavers who traffic human sex slaves), but that really just adds to the world- and character-building.

Quick read with a cliffy. She volunteers for a mission and is "rescued" by a hottie (think Han Solo with Anakin's metal arm) and his seven foot tall blue partner. Hot shower scene and a menage before she talks them into returning her so she can finish her mission.

Ruby Robbins get a chance to live the life of her inner Leia of Star Wars by accepting what she thinks is a recuse "mission" of the daughter of her boos who has been kidnapped by alien space slave traders. Ruby goes undercover, and out of it, since slaves are keep naked on the cargo ship. She meets a handsome space pirate and his big blue alien shipmate, Zak, who have been commissioned by someone they do no know to buy her from the traders. The trouble is Ruby does not want to be rescued until her mission is complete. She spends some very intimate time on Killian's ship.

Be aware that this story contains menage in case that is not your thing. Ruby at times seems quite dense to me, but all in all she's a likeable gal. Killian usually does not mind sharing the ladies with Zak but starts to feel very possessive towards Ruby. Zak was raised as a slave so he know what waits for the hapless Ruby if she goes deeply into that world. She is determined to complete her mission, but there are hidden forces equally determined to stop her.

I would call this more Space Erotica than Space Opera. This is part one of a three part series each released a week apart.

Ruby is in love with space so when she is asked to help with a rescue if she is willing to go to space she jumps at the chance. Ruby is a sweetheart. She is loyal to her task and continues even when Killian has rescued her from the slave pit. Killian is a fun characters who connects with Ruby right away. This is part one of the Ruby Series. If you do not like cliff hangers wait for all three parts to be published. I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

This was easy to read, had some hot menage action and was a great start to Ruby's space adventure.

If you like smut with space pirates, blue knobbly cocked aliens and fiesty heroines, then this is the book for you.
