While this book is an important addition in showcasing the range and breadth of political cartooning, it is more technical and high brow than anticipated. Great if you are looking into the nuances of political cartoons, especially from not a white American perspective, but a bit heavy for a casual reader.

I love political cartoon, but recognize there is something hit or miss about them. This book offered some cartoons that I understood immediately, but others with which I was unfamiliar with the circumstances that inspired them. Nonetheless, it was an interesting tome that left me wanting to learn more about the politics of other Latin American countries.

What an insightful exploration of the political force that is Lalo Alcaraz! This Chicano cartoonist gives me hope for disrupting oppressive systems, as does this author's captivating work into him.

Requested in error so not reviewed.

Thanks for this but I wont be reading this book. I requested it because I thought it was a graphic novel about political cartoons and it isn't. Thank you for considering my request.
