I'm not sure what it was about this book, but I found myself skimming, and ultimately not even finishing. I didn't feel as if the fault lay entirely with the author, yet I just couldn't make a connection to the characters and found myself just not caring.

I gave this book 5 stars which is something I haven't done in a while! For a book to me 5 stars to me everything has to be perfect and this one hit the spot totally! I love the idea of reincarnation and I'm fascinated by things that can't be explained. This book sucked me in and spat me back out a few hours later, with a slightly sore brain from all the thinking I must admit! I loved the storyline - I thought it was really clever and very different from other stories that I've read. The book was so emotionally charged and I connected with all the characters - I even felt like I connected with Gabe even though we never met him (or did we??). The writing was well done and the plot is ambitious. For me, there was too much emotional turmoil. It got repetitive after a while and tedious to read.
