Well written and easy read! I enjoyed this book a lot and learned a few things about the grief process? I read this book in a day because I couldn’t put it down. Really enjoyable

I'm not sure what it was about this book, but I found myself skimming, and ultimately not even finishing. I didn't feel as if the fault lay entirely with the author, yet I just couldn't make a connection to the characters and found myself just not caring.

I gave this book 5 stars which is something I haven't done in a while! For a book to me 5 stars to me everything has to be perfect and this one hit the spot totally! I love the idea of reincarnation and I'm fascinated by things that can't be explained. This book sucked me in and spat me back out a few hours later, with a slightly sore brain from all the thinking I must admit! I loved the storyline - I thought it was really clever and very different from other stories that I've read. The book was so emotionally charged and I connected with all the characters - I even felt like I connected with Gabe even though we never met him (or did we??). Absolutely fabulous, thank you for the chance to read and review this. Blog review up soon!

The writing was well done and the plot is ambitious. For me, there was too much emotional turmoil. It got repetitive after a while and tedious to read.

3.5 stars

The start was so good, I got pulled in quickly and was reading each page with more speed and anticipation. But then that thrill was less and less present.

I personally don't believe in reincarnation or things similar to that, but still I was interested in what will happen next with Mai and Kat. There were some things that kind of left me wondering. I felt as if everything between Mai (or Gabe) and Kat didn't get that real finish, I felt as if there was still something missing towards the end.
Also "the not-slip" that happened to Kat, I was a bit suprised about it because she did talk about Gabe and how it was hard for her, but I didn't feel the emotions on a deeper level while reading. It didn't affect me in that way because I was paying more attention to what will Mai do next. Also I hoped that there would be more insight about relationship between Owen and Kat, and how things turned out for them. But nevertheless the story was good and I did enjoy reading it.

~Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for allowing me to read the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.~
