Love this book! A paranormal romance that had me so into it I read it straight through. Really enjoyed the story line.

This was my first book by Sam J.D. Hunt, but it won't be my last! I understand from reading about the book that this was the author's first attempt at paranormal romance. A new genre and a new twist on an old tale - vampires, or Eternals as this family prefers. A scary approach but she did a great job!

The story starts off with a bang and doesn't slow down. The characters are strong, the locations are interesting and the story has a mystery that twists around and even has tie-ins to historical events. The story draws you in with it's initial shock and the intensity and humor of the characters keep you wanting more.

I am looking forward to learning more about the Family.

This was a quick read for me. I enjoyed the love story between them. I felt like the ending was a little weird.

Santino The Eternal
The Eternals #1
Sam J.D. Hunt

Pretty cool vampire - supernatural type read. The more I read the more I liked this one. I wasn't too sure as I started reading but I became pretty attached fairly quickly.
Santino is an Eternal aka Vampire and Clara is a housekeeper in his hotel. Clara comes across a dead body in one of the rooms she's cleaning. Santino befriends her and tells her a story about it being a fake body. But he felt chemistry between them and so then he decides he has to make her his.
Clara doesn't want to become an Eternal so that causes problems between them.
But there is a serial killer that appears to be framing Santino. Or at least that is what he tells Clara.
This turned out to be a pretty good story. And it leads into the next book in the series.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I am always a hard critic. Well, I think so. This read was just ok for me. It was paced well. It had some " who done it" moments, but I just could not get over not knowing much about him. Her story was ok. She would get paid even if she did not work. She wants to make her own way, but then doesn't complain when money magically appears. He doesn't answer any of her questions and seems okay after everything is revealed to her even though he still remains cryptic. Not sure really what to think. I just wanted more from these characters. Maybe even more of a build up. These characters did not seem passionate enough for each other. Yes, I know, not wanting to be away from each other. Maybe I need to read both their pov's. One chapter Santino's. The other chapter is hers. Now, his mom is just mental? That's it? It's okay to be mental? He lets her talk about his girlfriend like if she is nothing. Ok, I am done. Good readings to you all!

This book caught my eye on NetGalley and since I love vampires, especially hot rich vampires, I thought I would give it a go. And I am certainly glad that I did.

I pretty much loved every minute of this one. It was well written. It was nicely paced. It had a great cast of characters (both secondary and primary.) It had some good sex scenes (not of the overly steamy variety). A touch of humor. All in all, this was a great start to this series, and I am looking forward to Nico's book. Two thumbs up from yours truly.
