This is a great book for adolescents. Full of plenty of good, sound advice, with plenty of activities for the child to focus on identifying and maintaining their strengths, and making positive changes. I liked that there were good introductions followed by activities for the young person, with short spaces for notes. There were lots of inspirational quotes, as well as some life mottos / mantras (some which I will certainly take on board!) and the advice seems to be easily applicable.

There are a few downsides about this book (although on the most part this is a brilliant resource), as follows:

There are some lengthier bits of text, which may be suitable for more studious youths with a good attention span, however if wanting to target those that have difficulties in concentration and that don't engage all that well with reading, shorter paragraphs may have been beneficial. Additionally, some little graphics or illustrations here and there might have been quite nice to break up the text. Finally, at the end of each chapter there were several 'notes' pages. Now in the PDF format it's difficult to tell how this translates to a hard copy of the book, but in reading my copy on the computer it seems that each chapter has been bulked out with five blank pages for 'notes' - this may lead the buyer to think they are getting more content than they actually are, although this is a minor detail given that this is likely an incredibly useful resource.

I imagine this would be most useful for young people around the time of their exams, when focus is key.
