Such a cute idea. Distleries / breweries need these working cats to keep down the mouse population. A creative and fun short read spotlighting the cats. Ha. Lots of fun and info.

A wonderful and informative read. I really had no idea about the histories of cats and will have to look for more. A great book. I recommend.

This is a nice collection of stories of real cats and their personalities doing useful battle against vermin. I wish I could have seen their pictures, but I'll just have to check Instagram for the latest.

THE BEST. Granted, I'm a sucker for all things whiskey and all things cat. I wish there were more pictures though. (But all books need more pictures of cats). Makes a great gift book.

This is an adorable book, though I doubt any of the featured felines would appreciate being called adorable. I first fell in love with the drawings of each cat followed swiftly by their stories. It makes sense that cats would historically be prominent in a distillery to help keep grains rodent free. It's nice to see ways to continue their traditional role even with increased food safety requirements. It also includes 15 cocktail recipes that feature included brands. As this age of social media has taught us, cats rule us and this collection of 30 interviews with various distillery cats is ideal for the cat and spirits enthusiast in your life.

An adorable collection of profiles of the cats who protect the precious, precious booze in their distilleries. Wish it had come with more pictures of the kitties themselves, though.

Distillery Cats is a charming book full of lovely little profiles of the cats that live and work in distilleries and breweries throughout the United States. The profiles are accompanied by cocktail recipes from the respective distilleries, many of which are named after or inspired by the featured feline. In addition to the drink recipes, the profiles include illustrations of the cats in their element.

As a cat-lover (I have three) and spirited-liquor lover myself (currently sipping on a gin and tonic), Distillery Cats appealed to me on both fronts. Not only do I now have about 20 new Instagram accounts to follow (never too many cat pictures!) but I have been introduced to new distilleries and breweries to seek out. A few are even local to me in the Seattle area! (Field trip!)

I particularly loved the profiles of Pizza and of General Patton. Their stories put a smile on my face.

Distillery Cats is a quick, fun read and would make the perfect gift for any cat-loving drinker you know.

This was absolutely fuckin adorable. I thought this would be more nonfiction than it was, but this was a delightful book of cat profiles. How does it get any better than that?

A delightful little book that gives us quick portraits of cats who live and work at craft breweries and small distilleries throughout the US. Each cat also has a charming portrait accompanying his story.

Wonderful stories of real life distillery cats! I have heard of some of them, but so nice to have them all gathered in one book! Must read for cat lovers and especially those who also like distilleries and plan to visit them. Would make a great gift for a cat lover, too!

This was a great book. To start off, I had never heard of distillery cats, so it was quite informative. The book talks about the many cats that have become distillery cats in different distilleries. The stories, and recipes for drinks, were really fun. I really liked learning the stories behind these cats and the different things they liked. Most of them seem to enjoy when t here are guests to the distillery and enjoy taking the groups on tours. Of course, most are great mousers, too. I had to compare my cats to them and wondered if they would qualify, but I came to the conclusion, no, they would not. Neither are mousers, and only one is social at all. I would personally like to meet each of these cats! Thank you for telling their stories.

This was a great little book to read--each 1-page bio of a distillery cat is accompanied by a second page with a cute illustration of the cat and a brief list of traits/likes. It was so easy to read, because I could just read a few profiles on little breaks during the day. Each cat's story is so sweet, obviously showing the great talents of our feline friends to make everyone love them as well as make themselves useful (at least sometimes!) A great "feel good" type of book! I hope more stories are forthcoming!

Because I love cats and to a lesser extent beer, I enjoyed reading about the different brewery cats. The pictures/illustrations were very interesting and I am happy to have received an ebook in return for this review.

A quirky book, but I'm not sure it works. Combining cocktails, cat stories and distilleries. I hope they'll be actual pictures of distillery cats rather than just the illustrations, as otherwise it's a bit gimmicky.

An interesting book. Love the different stories about how the cats came to be. The inclusion of recipes and quotes added to the enjoyment. A lovely book.
