Conveniently Wed to the Greek by Kandy Shepherd

This is not someone she expected to see. Not the man who sued her in court over a blog post. But Adele (Dell) Hudson finds that her peace is being disturbed at the sight of Alex Mikhalis.

While Dell is coming out the other end of the struggle after her business and personal life have crashed around her. She was sued, her marriage ended and her ex-husband left her with all the debt and a little surprise. After their battle, Alex went back to Greece to lick his wounds, and the loss of his fiancé, and decided that perhaps Dell may have been correct in what was happening in his Australian flagship restaurant.

Alex senses something in Dell and he offers her the job of helping set up his new resort in Greece. At first she refuses as she hopes that she will be pregnant (the little surprise leftover from her ex-husband). She has cramps and finds her dream has dissolved. She then turns around and asks Alex if the job is still open, and it is. She moves to Greece and works with Alex to develop his exclusive resort.

It is not until the boat’s motion and her continued motion sickness forces her to go to the doctor that she discovers she is actually pregnant. Alex has been fighting his feelings and reaction to Dell, and this new pregnancy means that he should stay away from her. Although it is going to be hard when most people in his family are doing all they can to throw Alex and Dell together. And all the pieces fall into place.

Ms Shepherd’s books are always enjoyable. The characters are well written and rounded. I like that there are not too many silly moments but they are thinking and processing their thoughts and feelings towards the one who will be their other half. The one with the matching soul. Setting this story in romantic Greece, and the loving family, only adds to this familiarity and warmth.

I've read alot of cheese romance but in all honesty this book wasn't the good kind. If they liked eachother then date. She didn't have to marry him because she was pregnant. Alex didn't have to ask Adele the way he did. Yea convenient is in the title of the book so naturally I assumed they were going to get married but the way it was handled every single thing in the book was way too convenient and predictable. I was hoping for a bit of a surprise and I don't know I just wasn't a fan. The book was okay and I loved getting the dual point of view but when it came to the overall story I was hoping for more. Something to make it stand out and it just didn't do that for me.

How do you make two enemies, Alex and Adele who in past had a court battle over her review of his restaurant become more.  Easy because Ms. Shepherd is a genius in writing wonderful romances.  When Alex and Adele meet again in yoga class, first anger takes over than she finds herself hired to help him build a resort on his island.  He is hurting from when his fiance was killed while working in his restaurant and Adele is hurting from a divorce that her ex claims is her fault because all she wanted was a baby and all IVF chances failed.  She is left with hurt and debt, Alex wants to go back to the land of the living.  Both find what they are looking for on the island and then some,  a wonderful HEA.  When you read this truly lovely story you will see why I say Ms. Shepherd pens such wonderful books.

4 1/2 STARS!

A sweet enemies to friends ... and more story! There is an explosive past between these characters, and when it first starts out, you see the fireworks from both of their points of view, but it doesn't take long to realize there's a change in the volatility. We get to go along for the ride as they both heal from their past relationship and life circumstances and start to fall for each other. I really enjoyed their chemistry!

Alexios Mikhalis never expected to stumble across the woman that nearly ruined his flagship restaurant's reputation after all this time! There was a bitter feud between them once ... but too much has happened since then that has made him realize his ire was overblown. He can't hold a grudge anymore, and he only hopes she can forgive his arrogance.

Adele Hudson enjoys blogging about food and loved her former job as a restaurant reviewer. Right now she's recently divorced and at a lull of what to do with her life and this relaxation spa is just what she needed! She's blown away when she realizes Alex is there too. It's been years since their blow-up!

Alex is notably a changed man, and he actually takes the time to appreciate Dell's knowledge on hospitality and food and offers her a job in a new project he has going on. She is hesitant to take it, but realizes it will be a great stepping stone into her future ... especially once she realizes she's pregnant and needs all the help she can get!
