I am always excited to see another book by Susan Mallery - she has never let me down. This story has several things going for it besides the romance and happy ending which is a given in all her books - not a bad thing at all. I learned about tiny houses, growing tulips, fashion hints, hair styles and just how much cooperation, truth in relationships, and friendships, new and old, make the world go round.. You can't go wrong with this book.

This book is what I've come to expect from this author, small towns filled with quirky citizens, a few women that have issues with family, friends and romance.

Kelly was a bit of a hot mess. She didn't seem to have any confidence, so it was great when Olivia helped her find it, something that helped build their relationship. Olivia had her own securities, ones that after talking with Kelly seemed to go away. Helen had things she really needed to talk to her BFF about, but it wasn't anything that she could talk about with Kelly. All of these woman seemed to have secrets, ones that when they came out caused hurt feelings. It was only after they talked things through that all the relationships were on track, causing them all to be closer.

The ending made me smile, loved the new families that had been created.

Kelly Murphy has a pretty routine life. She works with her father as a successful tulip farmer. Six months ago her long term relationship ended and she is very aware that her high school crush, Griffith Martin is back in town. What makes things even more interesting is that Kate's younger sister, Olivia, who she has not seen in 6 years has also come back to town. Olivia was sent away to finish school when she was 15 after her parents divorce. Kate turns to her friend, Helen, as she always does, for advice and a shoulder to cry on upon Olivia's return to town. Helen owns the local diner where Kate's father, Jeff goes every morning for coffee. Helen and Jeff have become friends over the years and also play together in a band.

Griffith has come back into town and is managing a successful business. His younger brother, Ryan works for him but is not pulling his own weight at work. Griffith has made his interest in Kate known and is willing to do whatever it takes to be with her. Olivia decides to start over in her hometown after she grows closer to her father and sister. Helen is deeply routed in the hometown but is wrestling with her feelings for an older man.

Almost everyone has secrets in this book. Kate, Olivia and Helen are three women with secrets. Eventually their secrets come out and they individually have to deal with them. To add turmoil into the mix, someone comes back into town to throw a wrench into everyone's happiness,. A blast from the past who will not be happy until everyone is unhappy.

Is the book predictable? Yes, but aren't most romance books? If you go into this book with that in mind you will not be disappointed. This is a light fast read about family bonds, the bonds of friendship, and starting over. I appreciated that this book did not seem to end abruptly as most romance books do. I get so annoyed when I read a book and in one page everything is resolved, everyone declares their love and off to the chapel they go! This book came to an ending at the perfect pace. Nothing felt rushed or tied up too quickly. There is an epilogue which I also appreciated.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This story is set in Tulpen Crossing Washington, the middle of tulip country. It revolves around two sisters Olivia and Kelly and Helen, Kelly's friend. Olivia has just shown up in town after not having contact for years. Olivia is not sure where she wants to go in her life so she returns to her childhood home. The two sisters once had a strong bond but now they both have secrets that could prevent them from trusting each other and re establishing the sisterly bond they once had. Helen is also keeping secrets.

This book is well written. The characters and their story lines are intertwined with each other and you will like most of them. The author puts some humor in the book which helps to lighten up some of the more serious moments. This story is about relationships, family dynamics, friendships, forgiveness and love, it kept me interested from the first page. It is the perfect read for a summer afternoon. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

I love most of Susan Mallery's books, but I only found this one to be okay. Some of the things the characters did really annoyed me. I loved Griffith, but he and Olivia are the only characters who did not, at some point, get on my nerves. Everyone seemed to make a mistake or multiple, and then apologize for it. Yes, people are not perfect and everyone makes mistakes, but it seemed that they kept make the same mistakes over and over. It also seemed like they kept having the same conversations over and over - especially Kelly and Olivia, Kelly and her dad, and Griffith and his brother.

I could not figure out why the dad was so dense concerning the situation with his ex-wife. He seemed smart in the beginning, but as the story continued, he seemed to lose brain cells. Helen was also much smarter in the beginning. I hated how she and everyone else seemed to jump to conclusions and never seemed to want to have a rational, adult conversation. Sven was also a character I liked at first, but when he lashed out at Olivia because he thought she was back with Ryan, I lost all respect for him and did not want those two to be together. He was totally and completely disrespectful. I guess my main problem with this book is that there weren't enough lovable, mature characters for me. It started off fine, but by the end, I didn't really care.

As usual, Susan Mallery has written another great romantic story.

I haven't read many books by Susan Mallery but that will change now after reading this one! WOW. I was literally pulled into this story and couldn't put it down. It's engaging, captivating, and completely engrossing. It's filled to the brim with emotion and even has moments of fun. And in all honestly, I didn't want it to end. Now I have to go and put more of the authors books on my TBR because if they are anything like this one then i'll be hooked to her work.

This is the first book in a new series by one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed reading about the Tulip sisters and getting introduced to the town. It features three romances instead of the usual one you get in a Fool's Gold novel.

Longer than many of Mallery's books, this one is a winner. We have two main stories, and a few peripheral as well. Sisters who haven't spent much time together in the last thirteen years suddenly find themselves living under the same roof again. Both need to find their way in a world which has tilted off of it's axis; new loves, old loves, family. There are plenty of humorous moments mixed in with the poignant.

Susan Mallery goes far below the surface of sisterly strife and creates a full cast of multidimensional women, full of clever insights and great sex scenes

I am a fan of Susan Mallery's Fiction World.

This book started at a book club and I was hooked. Then the descriptions of tiny houses had me wishing for one.
Different sisters/friends viewpoints

At first I was a little nervous about the size of the character roster, but Ms Mallory has outdone herself in bringing everyone to life. I loved the uniqueness of the characters and their individual voices. Well done!

Kelly Murphy has the coolest job!! She and her dad run a tulip farm!! Having never been lucky in love she puts all of her efforts in creating the perfect tulips. That all changes when Griffith Burnett comes back to town!! Kelly had a huge crush on Griffith in high school, that was until he humiliated her in front of his friends! But trying to keep her distance is near impossible because Griffith seems to be everywhere she is (including her female only book club lol)!! When she finally confronts Griffith he tells her not only does he want to be friends, he wants "more" with Kelly!! Griffith wants a relationship, but the kicker is he doesn't want to ever complicate things with falling in love or marriage!! If that's not a enough for Kelly to deal with her sister Olivia is back in town. To say Kelly and Olivia have a dysfunctional relationship is a massive understatement!! Kelly must navigate her new normal both in her romantic and family life!

I love what Susan Mallery had in mind with this novel!!! She always creates fantastic characters with storylines that keep you hooked the entire time. The chemistry between Kelly and Griffith was great and even though Kelly initially tried to deny it, sparks were instant!! I also enjoyed the supporting characters and I really hope we get their stories in the future!! It was awesome to see Kelly and Olivia's relationship evolve and blossom!! Secrets of the Tulip sister is a 4.5 star read that would make the absolute perfect beach read!! As ALWAYS, I am already looking forward to Susan Mallery's next book!!

This was another great story from one of my favorite author. I was given an ARC from Netgalley and this is my review. Without giving the plot of the story, I enjoyed this book very much. The story gets to you with laughter and sometimes tears. The book reads itself and time flies when you read it!

Loved this book and can't wait to read more from Susan Mallery!

This book was worth reading but was not up to her usual standards. Story line was slow and the characters just did not grab me as her usually do. She is one of my favorite authors so I am looking forward to her next book
