This was my first novel by Silks, and I loved it! Silks has a new reader in me. Alex's life wasn't so easy. I don't want to give too much away. Alex deals with many curve balls, and the emotions are sometimes overwhelming. I felt as though I was right there with Alex in every moment. An excellent read everyone should try.

This book had me feeling all of the emotions. What a wonderfully written story!

This book did not grab me at all. I find it illogical that Jackson would not contact her once he was released or that her friend would keep such a secret from her so I could not engage at all

Now I struggled with this one a little. The heartbreak of losing one's soulmate right before their wedding, finding the strength to go on and then finding out that your first love was rescued years ago. That part I just didn't get.

Why Jackson waited to come into her life again-I just didn't buy into his explanation. Her husband is not a nice guy. But he is the father of her kids and she believes in her marriage vows. Regardless of how crappy her husband treats her. His faithfulness sickened me-i felt like she was a doormat.

But then fate decides things for her and she sees things will come to an end soon. Jackson is a patient man, while he waits for his "Tulip". All in all a good read, just not a great one.

I loved this book! It was an emotional roller coaster while reading this book. Sixteen years ago, Alex was supposed to marry her soulmate, Jackson. On their wedding day, he was kidnapped. His parents declared him dead after years of his disappearance with no trace of him. Alex found a man who was able to help her get of her depression and find love again. Now years later, Alex finds out Jackson is alive and he is now back in her life. But she is married with 2 kids. She vows to not destroy her family even though she is realizing her heart still belongs to Jackson.

This is a second chance love story that had love, heartbreak and hope. Yes you had to overlook the fact that there was no media attention about Jackson's rescue. Lacey Silks gave you a glimpse on the why but really didn't go into detail about the kidnapping. This story was more about Alex's journey.

It was beautifully written and even though some parts may be predictable, the author managed to throw in a couple of surprises and twists. I look forward to reading more from Lacey Silks.

Thank you to NetGalley, MyLit Publishing, and Lacey Silks for the opportunity to read and review "Only You".

I was hooked from the first page with this book. This book will bring out lots of different emotions as you read. This book has lots of highs and lows to keep you hooked. This author has a fab way of writing so that you never really know what's gong to happen. The characters are amazing and written really well. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

The blurb sucked me in and I requested this immediately. It sounded so different and interesting I knew that I was going to love it. This was my first read by this author and I enjoy finding new authors, so I thought yep I hope I get approved. When this landed on my kindle, I dove in. Well, sadly I have to say I was disappointed.

I am not saying its a bad read because it’s not. I liked the whole premise of the story, but I have some issues that made me not love it. First, the kidnapping...not believable and we don’t get much from it. I wanted more information. Second, Alex’s husband. She let him treat her like crap and she did nothing. Hello...I get the whole being there for him, but where was he the last few years of their marriage. He was a grade A JERK! Third, I didn’t feel the connection to Jackson and Alex. I saw a glimpse of it at the beginning, but as we progress no. Why did he wait for so long?? I don’t get it. I realize that he thought she was happy, but if he loved her, was her soulmate nothing would have stopped him.

Overall, this book wasn’t for me, however, others may love it. It was a light read, with not a lot of angst. I was expecting more. BUT this won’t shy me away from reading something else by this author. She has talent and like I said its not a bad read, just wasn’t for me. I might try and go back and read this later again, I might just not have been in the mood for it. 3.5 Stars

Only you by Lacey Silks. It didn't work for me. He was a total jerk for staying hidden so long. I don't care why he may have thought it was for the best, it was so horribly awful and not redemptive in my opinion. I do however appreciate the opportunity to read the book and Thank Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Only You is a sweet tale that follows Alex, her family, and her long-lost fiance whom she feared was dead. See, said ex-fiance, Jackson, was kidnapped on their wedding day and held captive for 5 years. Searching for years, Alex, her family and Jackson's, gave up hope of ever finding him. Time moved on. Alex moved on. And who was there to put her broken heart back together? Adam. She and Adam get married, have twin children, and have been married for the last 10 years. Though they seem to not have a very solid foundation to their marriage, and Adam doesn't seem to care about his marriage vows, Alex puts up with it by deciding to be ignorant to his extracurriculars.

The one person who does not take the side activities lightly is Alex's best friend, Lou. Lou and Adam antagonize each other at every chance. They hate each other in a very middle school'ish way. ("I bet your mother has a loud bark!") Lou has a plot to get Alex away from Adam and the twins for a "much needed vacation" on her own. Lou sets Alex up at a resort for a week to relax and unwind and hopefully find her own sidepiece for the week.

Okay, I know that Lou has only her best intentions, I guess, but I don't agree with her practically
throwing it at Alex to get another man in her bed while she is on vacation. Yes, Adam is a piece of
crap, but it's not up to Lou to decide how to handle it, and cheating on a cheat is not okay.

While on this vacation, Jackson shows up.

Cue the trumpets, get the smelling salts ready.

Where has he been? What's he doing here? Is this real?

3 1/2 stars!
Only You is the first book I've read from this author. I absolutely loved Jackson Knight throughout this whole story and I felt the love between him and Alex in the beginning. I hated how Alex let her husband treat her and continue to ignore what was going on around her. I can understand her wanting to be there for him during his time of need and for their kids but he was so disrespectful, uncaring and selfish. I wanted to feel that deep connection between Jackson and Alex that I felt in the beginning of the book before everything happened but during their reunion years later I didn't feel it. I felt the love but I wanted to feel them consumed by it. However, I enjoyed the flirting which made this a light and funny read. If readers are looking for a book with drama, lies, betrayal, secrets and a second chance romance read, this is definitely the book for you.
