Sins of the Heart kicks off an awesome series about soul reapers, demigods, and gods. Roxy and Dagan had a back-and-forth thing that had me reeling and rooting for them at the same time.

While I wasn't drawn into the story immediately, I eventually did get into it and think I might have been preoccupied. I'm not sure why I wasn't into it immediately - the beginning might have moved a little slowly for me. Some scenes were a bit lengthy.

As it went on, I ended up liking it more. The characters are interesting, especially Roxy and Dagan. They are HOT together! Their love is forbidden, which just makes them even hotter and fun to read about. They also have opposite goals which was what brought them into orbit in the first place, and that makes their situation even more complicated. I thought it was genius to have their goals pitted against one another to up the ante.

After finishing Sins of the Heart, I immediately bought Sins of the Daughter and am looking forward to reading the rest of this series! Plus, Eve Silver has written other series I'm ready to dive into.

Want a story that's full of plot twists? With a male lead that's hot and yet aloof, and a female lead that's feisty and has a backbone that would put badass warriors to shame?

Search no more, for this book has it all!

Roxy Tam was once saved by Dagan Krayl, a sugar-loving soul reaper. Ever since then, her life has never been the same. Becoming one of the Daughters of Aset, Roxy is now trying to find the remains of Dagan's dead brother and make sure they're not used to resurrect said brother. But Dagan isn't going to let anyone stand in his way of taking care of his family business, nor is he willing to let her go a second time. Turns out they might have to work together after all, even if they stand on opposing sides of this supernatural war.

I'm telling you, I loved this book, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one! Not only was it fast in pace, full of suspense, and I was left constantly wondering who the heck was the traitor who had caused all this mess, the main couple was HOT! Dagan was dominant and yet adorable in his possessive, lollipop-sucking ways, and Roxy was a match made in heaven for him, with her tendency to stand toe-to-toe with him and prove that's she's not the little girl he had saved so long ago.

Alastor and Calliope were also very interesting secondary characters. I can honestly say, I'm very much looking forward to reading more about them in the books to come! Not to mention, I really want to find out about the kid, and Lokan!

I just wasn't able to get into this story. The writing isn't bad, the storyline sounded promising, but it moved too slowly for me to stay connected with the storyline.

This is the first book I have read by this author, I will say that it was an enjoyable book but had a slow start . It felt like it took a long time for the story to really get going . But once it got going it was a really good read .  Let me introduce you to Roxy and Dagan .
Lets head into the Soul Reaper realm , Dagan an underworld soul reaper a very strong soul reaper .  He is on a quest to find his murdered brothers bones to bring him back to life . Roxy is on the same mission but for a different reason . She is out to stop Dagan from bringing his brother back to life . When they meet there is a spark and memories that they have met before . But will they survive against all that is thrown in front of them All the treachery. betrayal and the desire that is burning between them  to finish the quest .
The characters are well developed and well written . Dagan is oh so hot and sexy as he is dark and frightening. I wouldn't know what to do if I was in the same room with him, either throw him on the bed or run for my life . Roxy is one tough cookie, she is ass kicking woman who is also battling her own demons. She is tough to the very bone of her being and is true to herself . When they are together you can just feel the heat coming off of them and you want them to get together in some way or any way .
The book takes you on such an adventure ride . I did have a little bit of an issue on how long it took them to reconnect , it just seemed so very slow at the beginning . But don't give up on it when they finally reconnect the book just takes off and you are in for one helluva ride . Over all the book was really good and once I got into it I couldn't put it down .  I will be checking out other books by the author . This would be a good book for a rainy day of reading . Check it out

This book was amazing! When I'm in the mood for a PNR book, I'm always hopeful to find one just like this one. I absolutely loved it! One of the biggest draws for me was the forbidden element of the hero and heroine. They should be enemies but the connection made between them was too strong to resist.

Their first meeting is indescribable. It was unusual, scary and fascinating. It was brilliant because I won't forget that scene. Out of all the brothers, Dagan seemed the most detached. They aren't human but we expect characters to still have human behavior. He did know love of his brothers and father but it wasn't until Roxy that he truly started to thaw. I enjoyed his struggle to grasp the things she was making him feel.

Roxy was just as complex. She tough and standoffish but she's had to be that way. She a woman who feels too much but tamps it down to survive. She was scared of Dagan with good reason but she wanted to trust him all the while telling herself she couldn't.

Both of them are after information about one of his brothers deaths. How was it possible to kill someone who can't die, who did it and why. The biggest question is why so many people are after the same little girl. The road to getting it puts them back into each other's paths to face off many threats.

The first book only reveals some answers. It doesn't end on a cliffhanger but it does leave you wanting more. I'm looking forward to reading more about the brothers. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Sins of the Heart (The Sins Series book 1) by Eve Silver

What a great story. Sins of the heart is a complex story about The Egyptian Past and present day. I liked the way the story was written, the way it delves into the past, the underworld of demons and the way it meshes into the future.
Sutekh (Soul Eater) has sired 4 sons that became Soul Reapers. In this story you will get up and personal with Dagan Krayl, Sutekh's first born. You will also meet Roxy Tam, a young woman full of fire. A very thrilling read full of surprises and just the right amount of lust to get your heart pumping! I'm looking forward to continuing this series.

I give Sins of the Heart 4 stars for its great story.
I would recommend this book to Paranormal Romance fans as well as Urban Fantasy lovers.
