Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book. Unfortunately, while the blurb really interested me, I have been unable to get into the book.

When Rae hit Kat she didn't know about Kat's troubles. Now though, she's trying to help her heal. She's also trying a new romance, King always writes good characters with a nice storytelling style and this is no exception.

Quirky likeable main character, lots of heavy subjects, mental health/suicide but told in a readable almost new age story. Was an enjoyable read.

I wish You Happy is a story of friendship and hope. Though it can be dark at times there is hope throughout this book as two stranfers become friends.

Amazing book! The writing was beautifully done especially with its sensitive subject matter of loneliness and suicide attempt.
While there are dark moments there's an underlying lightness to the book. There is hope, there is friendship, and there is love.
I Wish You Happy is exactly that, a wish for friends to be happy despite the darkness deep within them.
Truly a wonderfully written book! I Wish You Happy really did make me happy!

I did not and could not finish this book. It was rather boring if you ask me.

The premise of this Kerry Anne King novel hinges on believing that someone would invite a suicidal person into their home, become a confidant, and almost become too involved in the person's life. I thought that was a little far fetched, but intriguing enough to pursue. Ms. King does a good job writing about the pitfalls of inter-personal relationships, and i found the characters to be complex and believable. The story moves rather slowly, but it stays true to the theme. There is a secondary romance that is engaging, and the overarching message of hope is strong. It was a gentle but good read.

A very heart felt read about two women , one wants to commit suicide and the other wants to give her reason to live. Its about friendship and needing a friend when your at a crossroads in your life. This is about stepping out of our comfort zone to give compassion and help to someone very much in need. Very nicely done with sensitivity toward a difficult subject.

This book is about a woman who has serious issues with trusting people and having relationships with others! After an accident beyond her control she learns to trust others and build relationships! Wishing people to be happy! I really enjoyed this book feel of emotions! I would recommend it to everyone

Rae is someone who always looks after the underdog whether it be people or animals so when in a car accident she knocks a girl off a bike who is trying to commit suicide she gets involved. Her biggest problem however is with herself - she will look after others but will not allow herself to fall in love.....can Kat change all this - especially as this brings Kat's social worker Cole into the picture!
A heart warming book looking at mental health issues in a light manner - Kat and Rae help each other and with a bit of romance thrown in a good read

What a great ride! Definitely has you experiencing ALL the emotions!

This is an easy read with a good storyline. It deals mostly with mental health and I really liked the quirky characters.
Thanks to Netgalley for my copy.

Excellent in all ways!
The plot , the writing and the message that comes from this wonderful book is a must read.
The main character, Rae who is a nurse and is called an "Empath" , cannot understand that we are responsible TO each other, but not FOR each other.
Rae has always taken on other people, critters, her patients troubles but has never had time for herself.
When she meets an elderly woman, Rae begins to understand that she is just as an important person as all she has always cared for and her happiness matters!
I wish you happy, but the choice to be, is yours!

So good! Such a lighthearted, warm and funny story about mental health and how none of us are really "normal". Every character came with their own little bit of mad. It could have been sad, or a bit gruesome even but somehow managed to be the opposite. Our main person, Rea, really grew throughout the book..for a while I wanted to sink with the amount of other people's problems and emotions that she was taking aboard, but she copped on.
It's a story about a girl that tends to take on shit, stray animals, people, you name it, but it makes it hard for her to have normal relationships, always trying to fix, exhausting herself. She takes on a girl who tried to kill herself by cycling in front of her car and through this event, new people come in to her life and she starts to change.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was how the romance bit was building and building and then Poof, It was dismissed in a "they lived happy ever after" sum up.. Disappointing, as so much more could have been used there, why was it rushed?
I am on such a roll on my book shelf "about people", some really good stuff coming my way and this is up there with favorite releases of the year!
