This has to be one of the most strangely entertaining books I have read in a while. It's paranormal mystery, with a whole host of characters that had me shaking my head and thinking back to certain parts in the book, chuckling now. I really liked the craziness of the book. It was not what I was expecting at all, but oh so much fun to read. This is the first book I have read by this author and I look forward to finding more books to read, especially from this series! Be ready for the unexpected!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin' With M. Brennan.

I received a free electronic copy of this novel from Netgalley, R. J. Hore, and Champagne Book Group in exchange for an honest review. Thank you all, for sharing your hard work with me.
This book was a hoot. I loved Randy, but also most of the elves, gremlins, vamps, banshees and brownies found in this tale. I am very pleased to have found another series of well concocted fantasy mysteries to take me out of this world. I can honestly recommend to anyone having a bad day, or even a bad week. A fast read and a feel good finish - you can't ask for more than that.

A lighthearted novella, that like other works by the author, spoofs the classic private detective genre in a universe similar to ours but populated with elves, vampires and other creatures of myth. The story doesn't take itself too seriously and the reader is advised to take it at face value and not dig too deeply into the underlying logic. The twist in the tail was predictable as was identification of the villains, but that didn't matter too much. The style of writing is easy-going and it is the sort of book that fills a few empty hours
