I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I have read the other 2 books in this series and #3 did not disappoint!! I read this book in one day because I didn't want to put it down! The flow of the book is great and I just kept saying...one more page...

Nicole hates bikers and doesn't understand why her 2 best friends had to fall for one. They have been the best of friends since they were 12 or 13 but they don't know about her life before she moved to their town.

Tank doesn't do relationships. He just takes care of business and goes on his way. He was once married and she ended up being a psycho.

As his "brother" is getting married, Tank was chosen to chauffer the bride and friend, who happens to be Nicole, around to last minute wedding chores. This is the last place Nicole wants to be also. There is a sexual tension between Tank and Nicole though which neither really want to admit.

Later at the rehearsal dinner, that was more like a big barbeque, Nicole decides to proposition Tank. She calls it "one and done". No repeat performances. Of course he takes her up on it. The problem is, they both find they don't want it to stop...as much as they both deny it.

It does bother Nicole that "the club comes first" and club business is none of their women's business. They do decide to become "exclusive" though.

Then Nicole finds out her father is out of prison and back with her mom. She is hurt and angry that her mom would put up with his abuse again...but she does decide to tell her girlfriends about him, which was her basis of her feelings about bikers.

There were problems with the club, a business of theirs had been burned down and also a Molotov cocktail thrown through the window of another brothers home. There were several groups who could be responsible...

Life is settling down a bit for Nicole and Tank and even though they work totally different hours they spend as much time as they can together. Then one night a tragedy happens as the club is attacked once again. Nicole has seen things that she never thought she would and all it brings her is shock and guilt.

Can Nicole get past this? Will she and Tank survive?

This is a good read, especially if you like bad boy bikers...

Tank is commanding and sweet and a biker.
Nicole is smart, sassy and hates bikers.
But for just one night she can overlook that he's a biker. or maybe two, or three, or forever.

The first thing I want to say is....why did you have to go and do that? If you've read this, you know what I mean. I cried ugly tears at the unexpected event at the end of the book. It was all going well until the 90% mark, then bam, tragedy. I think we could have dealt with a better outcome much easier, but I suppose if you don't get our emotions involved, then you're not doing something right. This scene definitely broke my heart.

This was the first Gillian Archer book I've read, so I didn't know anything about the characters and other books in the series. I enjoyed this read, but it wasn't the best MC-based book I've read. This one was kind of in the middle - it wasn't too extreme (like the 1% MC's) or too sweet of a read. I'm still a bit confused about what kind of MC this was when they didn't seem to play dirty unless warranted, yet other clubs/gangs definitely had it out for them. Why were they a threat to the other clubs if they weren't involved in drugs/guns/etc.? Maybe that was covered in previous books, but having not read the others, I was just a bit confused about the motive behind the attacks in this book.

Tank is a vet that has suffered from PTSD in the past. He's been attracted to Nicole for a long time, but Nicole wants nothing to do with him simply because he's a biker. We don't learn right away why she hates bikers, but once we do learn, it makes perfect sense and I can't blame her. Despite her general dislike of bikers, she still has to admit that she finds Tank hot and wants him. They agree to a one-night-stand, then a two-and-shoo, but of course that all blows up in their faces and they soon find themselves in a relationship.

I LOVED Tank - he was one of the best MC heroes in a book I've read, and I've read a lot. He was loyal to his brothers, a strong man when Nicole needed someone to have her back or lend an ear, and he had a soft spot for a blind geriatric dog. What wasn't to love? Even when Nicole hid away, he was still there to take her back and fight to keep her if needed.

Nicole wasn't my favorite heroine. She was judgmental and a bit whiny, but again, I understand given her home life. She was strong though in her beliefs, which I have to give her credit for, but she eventually saw the fault in her thinking and gave Tank a chance. I don't have a lot of great things to say about her though, which is unfortunate.

I'll probably go back and read the previous books in the series and at least I'll know in advance the personality of the female characters.

**Trigger alert: Child abuse, spousal abuse**

I was looking forward to reading Resilient ever since I read Rebellious. I fell in love with the men of the True Brothers MC and couldn’t wait to read more about them. With Resilient, I got a treat. I got Tank, who fascinated me in Rebellious, and Nicole’s story. And I will say, it was a sexy read with plenty of drama.

I have become a huge fan of MC books since I started reading them a little over a year ago. Which is a change because I had told my bookish friends that I would never, ever read an MC book, that I didn’t understand why they were written. Obviously, I didn’t know what I was missing and I take my words back because MC books are among some of my favorite books to read. Something about bad boys who have a heart of gold gets to me and the men in the True Brothers MC are definitely that.

What I enjoyed was that the author didn’t go out of her way to make True Brothers this big bad MC. Instead, they were guys who were part of a club but had lives outside of it. They didn’t deal drugs, they didn’t go crazy killing people and actually, the only trouble that they got into was basically fought over turf. Not that I don’t like the tougher MC books but sometimes, you need normal when you read. And that’s what you got in this book.

Tank was a battle-scarred ex-Marine who lived for the club. Recruited shortly after he was medically discharged, the club quickly became his family. Well, his sister (who was a complete and utter biatch) was around but I wrote her off because of how she treated Nicole. He would do anything for the club and that included driving around the VP’s fiancée and her hot friend who had a major stick up her butt about bikers. I loved him because, underneath his tough exterior, he was a teddy bear. It always gets me when I see this huge, tatted up, bearded guy go mushy be it over a chick, an animal or a child (my 3-year-old wraps guys like that around her pinky finger all the time).

Nicole, I didn’t like from the other books. She came across as a snotty bitch and I was really surprised that she was getting a book with my Tank. But, when the author got into her story, I actually felt bad for her and it explained a lot about why she felt the way she did about bikers and MC clubs in general. Which made me wonder why she decided to hook up with Tank to begin with and then to keep hooking up with him.

Their romance was cute, once the sex scenes were out-of-the-way. Just their day-to-day interactions were adorable and I couldn’t get enough of it. I had a huge grin on my face while reading those scenes because they were unexpected and they normalized Nicole and Tank’s relationship.

The sex scenes were hot. But what got me is that Tank was pierced. Not Prince Albert but one that would bring a woman a ton of pleasure because it would hit her clit when he was thrusting. Very interesting because I have never heard of such a piercing. On that note, this is the second book where the penis was pierced. Makes me wonder what the next book would be like, piercing wise.

I did call what happened to Nicole and how it tied into events in the book. Not that it took away from the book because it didn’t dampen my enjoyment of it. What kind of pissed me off was how dismissive Nicole’s mother and brother were to her. She had every right to be upset/mad and they were like “Just deal”. I am glad that she didn’t just deal and I am glad that Tank was there was stuff went down.

Now the last part of the book did kind of throw me for a loop. I was not expecting what happened to happen and it kind of freaked me out. But the end of the book more than made up for me being blindsided. I can’t wait to see whose story the next book will be.

How many stars will I give Resilient: 4

Why: A sweet romance with plenty of action and characters that you might not like but are certainly memorable

Will I reread: Yes

Will I recommend to family and friends: Yes

Age range: Adult

Why: Sex, language, and violence

As always thank you goes first to Random House Loveswept and Netgalley for providing us with a copy of this book so that we can bring you this review. Now I wish I was a part of the True Brothers MC ladies because good lord are they sexy men. Now three best friends fall for 3 of the sexy brothers in the club. Their protectiveness and need to make sure that each of these women are always safe and treated correctly is amazing. Though they are not angels by any means but their views on family and respect are very strong. Also big part of family to them is their club, and no one messes with their club or the people that they want as a part of it.

I can't wait for the next book in the True Brothers series.

I give these books 5 kisses.

Happy Reading... Adri

Zag has been my favorite but I think Tank has knocked him down to 2nd place. I loved Tank! I also love that the author is keeping this MC series a safe read for us readers who aren't a fan of cheating or mistreatment of women. She did however, throw a wrench into this book. Nothing against the main characters, but it still made me cry. Besides that the only thing I didn't care for was the couples need to keep things from going serious at first. They stayed loyal to each other, but was in complete denial for the first half of the book. Once they got over that bull, I truly enjoyed this couple together. I'm glad the author gave us time with them together and happy instead of it being rushed at the end. I can't decide who I want her to write about next...Axle or Bam Bam.

Shawn "Tank" Hudson knew better than to get involved with a woman like Nicole Walker. From every comment she'd made since her best friends got together with his brothers Zag and Reb, she was no biker bitch and she despised bikers as a rule. But she was hot and sexy and her body begged for his attention. Tank was an ex-Marine with a body made for sin. Nic wasn’t blind, she knew he was built like a brick house and pleasure was his middle name, but she couldn’t go there. As much as she wanted him, being with a biker went against everything she stood for. Too much history. Too much hurt. But when attraction won them over, one night just wasn’t enough. One night turned into two. Two into three. And texts became their norm. Then the past came back to haunt her and when her horrid past became a risk for her friends and the family she learned to love, Tank became the only man that could save her. Resilient is a story about falling in love for the most unlikely partner. It's about family, friends and the demons that can destroy happiness if not confronted head on. Tank is hot, sexy and loyal. He is everything Nicole wants and didn’t know she needed. With enough tenderness to rock her world, Tank will change Nic's perception of everything around her. Resilient is the third installment of Gillian Archer's biker series. It is hot, intense and will make you both laugh and cry.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, should be both Tanks and Nicole's mantra.
Nicole doesn't want anyone to know the truth about her childhood. If her friends knew she could loose them. It doesn't stop Tank from needing to get closer to her. Not wanting, I think he truly needs her in his life. That's what made this book so special, the obvious love that all of the men have for their women.

Nicole decides she doesn't want anything to do with bikers after a bad experience with her father who was a biker, but then she met Tank. The two can't help but be drawn to each other. This was a great read. The connection between the characters is steamy hot.

The 3rd book from the True Brother MC Series. This is the first one I have read out of the 3 and also this author is new to me.

Although this book is part of a series, I didn't feel like I was missing anything because of the mention/participation of the other characters. Nicole is smart, educated, and has a snarky attitude and bff to Jessica the bridezilla. Tank is their protector/bodyguard, tough and all alpha male on the outside, but sweet and lovable inside. Opposites attract, but put them together they make fireworks (Spoiler: there are plenty of hot sex scenes).

I really like this book, I just wish that there was more about Tank's background on how he became a biker and his relationship with his family and ex-wife. Towards the end the chemistry of the main characters fizzled and felt like it was rushed. Nevertheless, I still like the book and I'm actually checking if the library and/or bookstore have the first two books in this series (perhaps the previous books have more information about Tank?).

So with this being said, would I recommend this book? My answer is yes!

This is a must read series for me, I love the True Brothers MC series.

Whew, this a one hell of a story. Passion, suspense, and trying to escape from your past, and damn sexy.

I've read all the True Brothers books and this one is by far the weakest. There wasn't too much of a storyline and the action came way at the end. Also it wasn't much of a surprise. The main reason I had issues was because of Nicole. She was such an unlikeable character and focused only on herself and her problems. Tank was a bit better and he definitely could hold his own against Nicole but he felt a bit flat. The whole Bridezilla thing didn't make sense with Jessica's character. It was still worth a read esp if the series is going to be continued.

Gillian Archer will not leave you disappointed . The chemistry between Nicole and Tank sizzles off the pages .

Tank and Nicole skirt around each other for many months. He is intrigued by her spit and fire. Nicole is dead set against bikers and has her reasons, which remain a secret to her friends. Their friends are getting married so the two are thrown together quite a bit in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Nicole is hot/cold towards Tank and he finds it adorable. He likes her fired up and is intrigued as to what she would be like between the sheets.

Nicole, after some prodding, propositions Tank and off they go on their bumpy road of their relationship. One night was all it was supposed to be but both find they want more. We get a deeper look at Nicole and I totally understood her skewed view about bikers. She did project her past onto the True Brothers MC and it took a while for her to see that they were not the same. She gets blindsided when her past comes back to haunt her and she is left reeling.

Tank and Nicole find kindred spirits in each other. Each has baggage and they try to keep it from others. Both realize that they can vent to one another and not get judged. It helped propel their relationship and was nice to see. I did like how Tank would try his best to make amends when he screwed up and saw more in Nicole than even her best friends did. Both find solace in each other. When tragedy strikes, they both have to decide whether to stay together or let guilt tear them apart.

I read the first book in this series and liked this one more. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

This biker series is among one of my favorites. Fantastic story about Tank and Nicole. Well written with great characters. The story was fast paced and one you won't be able to put down. Almost think this was my favorite so far. I can only hope there are more to come. Definitely recommend this book.

3 stars for Risilient by Gillian Archer

ARC (unedited) provided by Netgalley for an honest, unbiased review.

This is the first book I've read in this series, and while I liked it well enough, it wasn't something I find myself wanting to revisit in order to read the rest of the series. As an aside, I struggle to really get into biker books anyway, so that may have some bearing on my enjoyment of the book.

The main characters, Tank and Nicole, are interesting, and I especially liked how feisty and snarky Nicole was at the beginning. However, I found little plot points within the story that didn't quite add up, so I lost the motivation to finish about 60% of the way through. I managed to stay with it though, and finished it off. The climax of the story felt rushed, but I liked how the author wrapped up the main characters' love story.

Definitely worth reading but I don't know how invested I am to continue with any of the other books in the series. I think I'll try one more and see if the writing style and storyline is enough to hook me.

Resilient is a great stand-alone novel but it's also a great third installment in this super hot motorcycle romance series!

I liked the heroine, Nicole. I don't really remember her from the previous novels but it HAS been a while since I read them. In any case, according to Nicole's friends, she's bitchy or abrasive or a little unkind at times. But I didn't see ANY of that in this book. I thought she was funny and snarky and pretty amazing for all she's been through. She was pretty fun and a great match for the hero.

Tank was pretty great in his own right though too! Like many heroes in MC romances, Tank was in the war and did several tours. He's seen some nasty stuff, has lost some friends, and came home a damaged guy. Like Nicole, he's a little rough around the edges but he does JUST fine with the ladies. But I really liked getting past the rough exterior to get inside him and seeing how deeply he DOES feel things.

Obviously, since Nicole and Tank were so similar, they were so much fun to read. Tank was a one-night-stand type of guy and Nicole was a one-night-stand type of girl. It was pretty funny to watch them justify going from "One and done" to "Two and shoo" and so on. I started trying to think of what came next, three and flee? four and hit the door? I probably spent a little too much time on that...

I would recommend this book and this series. Readers can go ahead and start here without being too lost. There were some injuries and trauma in previous books but I don't think they HAVE to be read in order. From this book forward, though, readers will need to start reading in order. There's a big loss in this book and I have no doubt it will affect things going forward. This would be a great read for people who don't want to read about 1%ers. The True Brothers MC are good guys who arent afraid to step a little outside the law. I found it very easy to read and a lot of fun!

2.5 slightly confused, kinda disappointed stars. Good solid start but followed by a muddled middle, interrupted with a crazysauce twist, then fizzled to a weak ending. I'm new to the series, and was intrigued by Tank and Nicole's sexually charged connection from the start. Both Tank and Nicole claimed they were just going to be "one and done" with each other because they weren't relationship type people, and, well, we just know how that ends in Romancelandia.

Tank is the kind of biker whose story I enjoy the most; the kind that falls hard. Almost against his will, Tank goes straight from wedding hookup to claiming Nicole with a caveman "Mine!". The problem was that Nicole was so wrapped up in her own issues that she didn't really connect well with Tank or anyone else in the True Brothers-verse.

Once Nicole's mysterious history catches up to the brotherhood, I expected her to reveal some inner strength to Tank, her friends, and the brotherhood. Instead, Nicole dissolved into some kind of self-absorbed, juvenile catatonic funk that required just about every character in the book bending over backwards to convince Nicole that it wasn't her fault. It was exasperating.

From this book, the True Brothers and their women seem to be a strongly connected group, a la Kristen Ashley's alphas. Too bad that Nicole just didn't seem to deserve to be part of it. I strongly suspected that the other brothers' stories were a far better way to dive into this world.
