Wow these books just keep getting better and better with each one. Another 5 star read

Leslie North has another winner on her hands. Good romantic suspense. Liked it all!

Vann is investigating Seals murders with his company when a client's safety becomes his priority along with her heart. The second in this series and suspense keeps the pages turning . Waiting for the last in the series.
Ebook from net galley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Seal Protector wasn't anything to write home about. For those reading the series it might have been a great book for me it was your basic RS story nothing stood out that would keep me reading the next book in the series. The characters had insta love like many of them do in this type of series. It was just what it is a RS with military Alpha male and strong female character. Of course there is sex in the book which seems to be th tread right now with RS novels. Lots of Insta love and sex.

In this part of series of Brothers in Arm, we meet Vann, he is in charge of the physical training of the new recruits, but he is also on alert because someone is out to destroy them. Then we meet Mercy Conte, she is so insecure, you feel sorry for her, as you read how her family treats her, so she sets out to graduate from Brothers in Arm program to show her family she can defend herself. Vann really does not think that Mercy can pass, but his partners do not let him send her home, they need her business, While Vann and Mercy start spending time together, they fall in love, but disaster strikes, and test them, and she decides to go home. What happens next? You have to read it..I can't wait for Jake's story.

Mercy annoyed the crap out of me, and Vann was hot stuff. The book was really short (or maybe just a very quick read?) and I would have liked more development of the characters and the plot. The overarching plot of who is behind the nefarious things happening at the training camp was barely addressed, so I imagine the next book in the series will have more details.

It was an interesting read. The characters were alright and everything was just ok about this book. The end of the book I thought I skipped a chapter or a few pages and missed something but it was just an odd way to end the book. I felt like I was missing some big pieces of this story, how things wrapped up or are going to move forward into the next book.

Leslie North's books are always a quick and satisfying read!

Meh. Nothing extra. He did a whole lot of finding footprints and tire tracks, but no bad guys. Even Mercy and Vann were even blah.

This is the second in the Brothers In Arms Security series. That said, the characters in SEAL Protector stand very well on their own, though the storyline is clearly continued from the first book (which I haven't read) and ends up with the underlying suspense plot unresolved, clearly to be resolved in the third book.
I'm not a huge fan of this sort of thing; I really prefer each book in a series to be able to stand completely on its own merits. The romance in this one does so very nicely, and it's a well-written read, but I wouldn't recommend reading it unless you've read the first and intend to read the third.
Four stars.

Another good read. I have the collection of Leslie North books. Because I'm hooked.

This is Vann's story. Tall, dark, and quiet. He's kind of a jerk at times. By this point in the series, the mystery of the SEAL suicides had progressed but still not solved. Someone is after Vann, and his threatens his budding relationship with a client.
Overall the series is better at this point. I wish for a little more character development than instantly falling into bed and reacting to all of the threatening events that happen, but this is an exciting book.

I really enjoyed reading this story and didn't put the book down till I had turned the last page. It is a thrilling and gripping story that not only includes a wonderful, really hot hero but also a very tough female heroine who finds her power and learns to trust herself and her own abilities.
I loved the chemistry between the main characters and, seriously, Vann is just amazing. He is not just hot and loyal and sweet and ...well, a whole bunch of other positive attributes but he is also a really good teacher and understands Mercy perfectly. Even if he blows it. More than once. I loved that you could always feel how much he cares for her and how much he wants to help her and to do what is best for her.
Mercy is tiny but tough and I really liked how she tried so hard to succeed despite everything that happened. I was upset with her family and the way they made her fight for everything. On the one hand her parents fears are understandable but, well, they should see that their girl is great and competent just the way she is.
The story was well developed and I liked that no matter what happened, Mercy and Vann stayed real. They never turned into Superman or Supergirl they just used their training to save themselves or those around them and no matter how bad ass they were, both of them had weaknesses as well and had to deal with them in order to achieve their aim.
Oh, and did I mention the chemistry? Phew, that wasn't bad either, believe me but I might have mentioned that before...
Well written, great and captivating story and amazing characters - I really enjoyed reading this book and I'll definitely read the other books in this series as well.

I didn't like this book as well as, Seal Defender. Seal Protector, seems to center on Mercy passing the boot camp course that the Brothers in Arms offer. After a while it just got old. Although I can't wait to read book three to get the ending.

Seal Protector is book 2 in the Brothers in Arms series. I enjoyed this story, Mercy and Van are great characters and storyline kept me hooked from the beginning. I look forward to reading more

Geez. Clearly she still has post-traumatic stress. Why would you try climbing again? No job is worth it.
What kind of idiot leaves a customer alone like that?
She really should tell him that she's afraid of heights.
For a second I thought he'd accuse her of being the trespasser.
Wow, in some families what his father did would be considered child endangerment.
Sex as a lesson? Yeah, right. Who do you think you're fooling, Vann?
Haha! Are you still whipped if the woman is the married sister of your teammate?
Her brothers sound kind of evil.

Following the classical action/romance story line, it has the slight twist of being set at a civilian training camp instead of a full-military active services deal. Great book and builds of of the first and will continue into the last in the trilogy. The ending left no doubt that the reader will look for the final installment in order to complete the story and not be left with questions.

SEAL Protector isn't as strong of a book as its predecessor, SEAL Defender, but it was still an enjoyable romantic suspense story that kept me interested in the over-arching plot of the Brothers in Arms series.
Vann Highrider is an ex-Navy SEAL who is putting everything he has into the boot camp he owns with two of his former SEALs. After the bad press caused by the mess a few months back, Brothers-in-Arms has been struggling to hold onto clients and revamp their image. Mercy Conde, heir to one of the largest restaurant chains, joins one of the the survival courses at Brothers-in-Arms in an attempt to prove to her family she take care of herself. However, she soon finds her self completely failing the course and her path crosses with Vann who begins training her one on one in an effort to help her pass the course and generate good press for the business. Their attraction soon becomes too much to ignore and they must put their skills to the test when they find themselves in a dangerous situation.
I enjoyed the physical aspects of Vann and Mercy's relationship quite a bit. The two had an instant chemistry and were attracted to each other right away. Any scenes where the two got physical, the sparks were instantaneous and made the scenes so enjoyable to read. However, outside of their physical attraction, their relationship lacked a bit. I felt the two simply didn't connect very well and there was a bit too much manipulation going on for my tastes.
I was happy to see characters from the first book return, although there were less scenes with them than I had hoped for. Geneva does not appear at all, although she is mentioned, but all of the other characters do make appearances. Also, the continued plot dealing with the SEAL murders is still very interesting and I'm excited to see where the story-line goes in the final book.
While I did enjoy SEAL Protector, ultimately I liked the first book SEAL Defender more. I will though be continuing with the series when the final book, SEAL Guardian releases later this month.
