A sweet second chance romance between two people who met as teens. It's trope-y to be sure but you will root for their happy ending,

There is a certain vulnerability in Sterling that is not readily visible until Lucy brings it out. This is a story of opposites who are really alike in so many ways. Lucy coming to grips with her own upbringing and the hurdles she faced was heartbreaking. The author has created in these two characters a vision of how even though outward appearances create the possibility of judgment that is wrong in so many ways.

I thoroughly enjoyed the history that Sterling and Lucy had, and its draw to bring him to realize just how much she meant to him and how they were really very much alike. The author has created characters who we can see a bit of ourselves...making their story so much more poignant.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I have voluntarily providing my honest review.

This is a very sweet contempory romantic story. I really enjoyed this book. I usually don't read romance books but this one was well thought out and well written. One thing that I particulairly liked was the love scenes in it were not described in explict detail yet the author got her point across beautifully. The characters are very realistic and the story is as well. Anyone who likes this this genre will truly like this book. Five stars for sure!

As soon as I saw the setting of this book was the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, I knew I had to read it! Growing up in Maryland, this meant summer to me.

The author makes the Bay, the Chesapeake Inn and the camp for children come to life with her words. The conflict of Lucy having to now work for her teenage crush at the inn was difficult. I liked her character a lot and could feel the different emotions she was dealing with.

A good book to read on a hot summer day. And I'm sure you will might just feel a bit nostalgic like I did. I definitely recommend this heart warming book!

I really enjoyed this read, and love when a setting becomes a character. I felt the characters were realistic and interesting, and the pace was fast which worked well for this easy read. I would continue to read books in this series.

It's always an inspiring experience to revisit a novel. Especially when the story is one by author Julia Gabriel. She can take a reader on a journey to some of the most beautiful locations in the world while breaking their hearts and giving them hope along the way. Summer Again is a story of redemption and second chances that spans from a teenage crush to an adult attraction. Sterling has struggled with feelings of inadequacy his whole life. His family had money and history but seemed to lack time and heart, at least in his case. Lucy lost her heart to the brooding owner's son years ago, will she lose even more this time around? I love this author because she proves sweet can be irresistible.

This sweet romance hit all the spot and will give you lots of feels. The story line moved quickly but did not feel rushed, however the ending could have been a little longer and not quite so short. I will definitely look for other books by this author and will recommend to my friends.

I liked this story and it will be a good beach read for light entertainment. Lucy works for the resort/camp that saved her life as a teen. Poor and from a remote mountain area her mom sends her to summer camp in the Carolina's. Lucy learns a lot about herself that summer and vows she will not return to a life with no chance for success. Sterling returns to the resort when his father gets too sick to run it anymore and runs into Lucy. They had a summer fling and now he's returning to either close the camp or sell it. Formula reunite, fight, fall in love.

Lucy is the Marketing Director for Chesapeake Inn and the children's camp associated with it - she has a special affiliation with the camp as she went to it when she was a difficult teenager and had problems that were helped by it.

Sterling is the son of the owner of Chesapeake Inn and due to his fathers illness he has returned to run the business and he definitely remembers Lucy from the past!

When Sterling decides that he must close the camp in order to save the Inn the sparks will fly and he will have a worthy opponent in Lucy who is determined that it must be kept open - will their shared past come back to them and re-unite them?

A good light hearted read that although predictable will make a good beach read

Being originally from the Eastern Shore, I seek out novels that use it as a setting. I often find a gem, but I often am disappointed. Summer Again is "just right." It brought that beautiful part of the world alive enough to make me homesick. The characters were well drawn, and I cared about what happened to them. I hope we get another opportunity to visit with them

If you're looking for a quick, romantic story, you’ll love Sterling and Lucy’s journey together.. Two individuals from completely different lives and backgrounds.

Sterling is the only son of the wealthy family who owns the Chesapeake Inn. Lucy is now the marketing director at the Chesapeake Inn and was once an underprivileged teen who visited the inn's summer camp; the same camp where she and Sterling had an intimate summer together. Sterling, in an attempt to save his inheritance, after many years abroad he returns to take control of the inn due to his father’s failing health. He's no longer the fumbling teenager that Lucy lost her virginity to, but a very sexy, desirable man and now her new boss! Just what she needs, right?

From the very beginning they fight about how the inn should be run, because they see and remember things differently. The summer camp which Lucy insists benefits the community and a lot of kids with troubled lives/homes BUT Sterling sees it as an unnecessary cost on the inn's bottom line. The camp helped Lucy survive as a teen, but Sterling holds a grudge against the camp, because as the son of the Inn’s owner is wasn’t allowed to experience certain things during his youth.

Sterling and Lucy’s romance allows the reader to experience the ups and downs of their relationship as it crosses lines of pre-conceived notions from the past, a strong romantic attraction that neither is immediately eager to admit.

There are a lot of great secondary characters in this story that you will grow to love and I would say that Douglas was one of my favorites. You don’t get to see a lot of Douglas, a friend of Lucy's who works at the Kids Kamp and is a very good friend of hers, but you can't help but fall for him and his protectiveness of Lucy.
