I was so looking forward to reading part two and this did not disappoint. Again it had me gripped from the start and followed on faithfully from the previous book. It was just as good. I would thoroughly recommend.

The gripping conclusion of a two-part story, Message From Joshua part 2 was just as enthralling as the first. It's a vibrant, captivating tale that people will love no matter what they like to read.

This title continues where part I leaves off, Ralph going off to war and leaving his fiance Annie in England to worry for his safety.

While this novel continues their romance story through his years in India where he almost dies, it goes beyond that. Ralph's faith continues to play a role in the storyline, both his faith in God and his faith that Annie is waiting for his return. However, years with minimal communication can take its toll and Annie finds herself tempted by an American soldier.

Until around the half way mark of this volume, the story is centered on Annie and Ralph. (Spoiler ~ they do ultimately marry.) The second half is set closer to modern times with Ralph suffering from cancer and the family on edge for when he will pass from this life. Their daughter then learns from a lifelong family friend that Ralph had saved her friend's dad in the war and almost lost his own life in the process. A debt born from gratitude has the 2 girls entering a race in India which will help raise funds for cancer research. It is there that their daughter finds something that was lost with the hope of bringing it to her beloved dad while he is still alive.

I won't tell you whether Ralph dies by the end of the novel. However, I will say that the ending leaves an opening for another book featuring the family of Ralph and Annie.

Overall, it was a good book to read for me. If you like historical fiction, it will definitely appeal. And, the author shares that aspects of the story were drawn from his own family which always intrigues me.

Note ~ I was provided a copy from Netgalley in the hopes of a review. All opinions are my own.
