The rhyming and structure of this story very much reminds me of a a Jamie Lee Curtis picture book. That is a good things. She is very good at it. However the illustrations could use some work. They are not bad, but I have seen better.

I absolutely love this book. The message is so important. The story is told in rhyme with nice illustrations to illustrate the point of each page. As a teacher, I often told children that it took courage to walk away or to try something new or to move on and this book shares that message and more. It wants children to listen to their head and their heart and be brave to make the necessary choice whether it is to try a new thing, try again, walk away and try something new, just sit home alone etc. I love the verse that says:

Be brave to BE YOU
on your journey begun.
Let your heart lead the way...
be brave little one!

A great addition to any family, school, classroom or public library. I could see reading this over and over whenever your child feels bad about themselves.

I love this sweet book with its appealing illustrations. I would happily add this to our home collection and a school library collection with its great message of being true to oneself. The rhyming pattern will be greatly appreciated by toddler age children.

Be Brave Little One was a beautiful wish for all children but especially this closest to you. We all want our children to have courage to be who they are and be brave in all situations. This book is one that could be read each and every night before bed instilling this idea. I loved this story.
