This was an interesting take on the history of science and how previous works can help us to uncover further discoveries and advances. I really enjoyed reading this.

Interesting focus but technical
This book started out very good as a history of science with clear language. The descriptions of energy and work, for example, are great. But as the book progressed, it became more mathematical and less descriptive, to the point where I stopped enjoying the book. However the book does have an interesting focus and it might be more fun for people who like more math, but it just didn’t suit my taste.

It's a great lay-person book explaining in plain English the science frontier. I'd recommend it to fans of Brian Greene.

I didn't end up reading this book - it was my mistake that I really jumped on this one based on the cover, and I didn't realize it ended up being more of a textbook than an easy read through.
My boyfriend did read it, and found it to be very informative, and well written
He very much enjoys the science fiction world, while I, at almost 30 still prefer middle grade books
