A very well written Beauty and the Beast love story. Could be better in the steam department, as it stands, Falling for the Beast by Victorine Lieske reads more as a YA novel, but still very good and kept my interest from the beginning to the end, which felt slightly cliffhangerish. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I've never had a job either.

What is he doing, picking bar fights or something?

Geez, Mr. Personality.

Hey, those juice pouches are yummy.

Why was he alone as a child? He lost his father in an accident, but where's his mother?

Holy crap! I thought it might be something like that.

Great retelling of Beauty and the Beast. the characters were enjoyable and fairly true to the Disney movie we love.

There were a few scenes that jarred- one included Belle thinking of Cinderella. How could she know Cinderella but not realize the similarities of her life to Beauty and the Beast? Another was the way in which Gavin is disposed of at the ending. After seeing what his character did in the book, this was too simplistic and not true to his actions in the rest of the story.

But Beast was a wonderful character. I found his "gift" a nice twist as an explananation for his scarring.
