I really enjoyed the first volume of Fran Krause's web comics and this collection is just as good.
Fran is an amazing artist, I love his style and the subtlety of his work. The art has a charm to it that juxtaposes with the content perfectly to really stand out and stick in your mind.
The book ranges from comical to unnerving and sometimes even makes you think, you may even pick up some more fears of your own!

This was just a really strange little book about people's fears. And not the normal ones. Oh no. The strange ones where you know you shouldn't be afraid but at the back of your head there is that little nagging voice saying you should be scared. The artwork was great and all the fears were just things that I have never thought of and will never be able to get out of my head. So thank you Fran Krause. I owe you one

I always thorough;y enjoy reading through these great illustrations and I'm also surprised that people have some of the same fears as me! Someone falling onto my legs and bending them backwards has stayed with me since childhood!
Great collection. Fingers crossed this will lead to more!

Not quite what I was expecting at all. Thanks all the same.

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me a lot of the books by Sarah Andersen expect this one is all about fears that people had. I really enjoyed all the illustrations and have to say I did find some relatable ones. I could see myself buying this book and leaving it out on my coffee table to have for guests when they come over. I can see some of my friends enjoying this book and getting some laughs out of it like I did. I do have to say this book did put some new fears in my head that I won't be able to get out.
Overall it was very enjoyable and I would love to check out more from this author.

A second outing for Krause, based on the popular Web comic series, The Creeps is an exploration of fear. The shorts show, in an average of four frames, the truly irrational fears people can have, where these have come from and how they can affect their lives. Whilst being an intriguing catalogue of human foibles and insecurity, it is also - at times - understandable, completely baffling and just plain hilarious. It is a drawn in a way that lifts what could be seen as negative subject matter and fills its pages with a feeling of childlike wonder and exploration; making for an enjoyable read where it's easy to find the humour.
As a newcomer to the series, I will definitely be looking out for more comics by Krause. This volume was great way to a while away some time, having a good giggle about the fears of others and not in any way becoming increasingly scared by the sheer number of so many of your own, little-known fears having made their way onto its pages. Not in the slightest!
