Very interesting book about This is a book that gives you viewpoints from Muslims in the military. It gives you various points, some good, some bad. but all one's experience. Gives a very good view of being Muslim in this day and climate and being military. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher in return for my honest review.

This book took me awhile to get through - it is a very deep subject, and one that is written in a very technical manner. I would read a bit, then go on to read something a bit more fun or light. I gave it 4 stars because I thought it was very well written and objective. I think it could have been a 5 star book if the author had interviewed more subjects and gotten documentation on more experiences. What I really liked about it is that it tells the perspective of individuals without passing any judgement. Some of the interviewees had positive experiences, and others relayed negative experiences - I felt it was very balanced. I also liked that it looked at the viewpoints of the service member and explored the reactions from others in the military, as well as the reaction/treatment from their families, communities, and even some of the interactions with Muslims in the country where they were serving. It gives an interesting perspective on the thoughts and feelings of some of our Muslim service members/veterans who have served post 9/11.
