I am sorry that I couldn't complete the book on time and it got expired. I am giving 1 star because of the book description. I liked the synopsis and that is why I asked for the book.

This galley was incredibly hard to read. It has major format issues, and if it is intended to be an eBook these issues need to be seen to. The issues I have are that the pictures are cut in half, when they work at all. Plus the bottom ½ of the story pages is missing. From what I could read of the story, it was overly long. The illustrations are simple, but nice. They remind me of a 6th grade art project.

A boy made out of gingerbread lives in a house made of sugar cookies—not gingerbread, because he’s weird, it’s pointed out—in the forest. Georgie didn’t like doing anything that was expected. He meets a nutcracker wisely named Bartholomew, who is just as unconventional as Georgie. They’re not all that smart, being easily distracted and trapped by a toymaker who wants to make them conventional.
Cute enough, though it feels really weird to have a gingerbread creature eating muffins. The theme of being yourself could have been tighter.

This is our 2nd introduction to Yousef. it is the 2nd book in the series. This time Yousef wonders if being different i a good or bad thing. As Daddy plays Yousef's favorite game "Imagination Time Travel" they explore the differences of being different. Yousef now has a better understanding why it is important for everyone and everything to different.

This is a great book to teach children ( and adults) that being different from the norm doesn't mean that something is wrong or broken and needs to be fixed. There is diversity in all manner of life- what makes one person happy, might not be the same for the others...And that is simply...okay

The illustrations are extremely amature and unappealing, and the story was tediously wandering like a four year telling a made up story at the dinner table.

The text is unreadable. Very disappointed as this looks like a book my grandkids would enjoy. The writing in the text is scrambled up and seems to be printed on top of other text. so makes it impossible to read it. I deleted the book and re-downloaded it several times and it is still the same way. If I could send a picture of the text all scrambled up I would. So sorry I cannot give a review of Georgie Makes A New Friend.
