Perfect summer read that will have readers swooning. GRAND SLAM tells the tale of a hot Major League Baseball player, Travis, and his sexy Public Relations handler, Saylor. When Travis is accused of rape, his world starts to fall apart. Everything he's worked for is hanging by a thread. Saylor has the power to potentially save him but doing the right thing could cost her everything. When both of their futures are on the line, who's going to win? Can both of them come out winners or will they both lose in the end. Readers will be anxious to see what happens and if love can weave it's way into Travis and Saylor's hearts in the process. Definitely recommend!

I loved this addition to the series! The situation that Travis finds himself in felt very real and I was stressed for him and Saylor. Travis was a decent guy that didn't mean any harm, but something terrible happens that makes it easy for people to believe given his past. I loved how this story came together and how past characters made appearances. It was great!

Unlike it's two predecessors, this third book in the Boys of Summer series has less on the field action and more romance and legal drama. Taking place off season plays part in the way the story is shaped. Returning are all the previous players (characters), along with new adorableness in the form of five year old Lucy...it seems as if adorable little kiddos are staples in the series...each time they have been scene stealers.
The chemistry between Travis and Saylor leaves you breathless, the realism in each of their situations is frustrating (in a good way) as the author has perfectly conveyed their anguish pertaining to each their situations, separately and combined. I enjoyed their persistence in battling back, and that together they were stronger at beating back their demons...Travis' transformation, from the previous books, is most notable. His one liners which make you laugh out loud are still peppered throughout, but seeing him brought to his knees by his love for Saylor and particularly Lucy, was so very heartwarming. The couple's struggles were gut wrenching, their victories rewarding.
There are still plenty of Renegade players who need their own stories, I can only hope they come with adorable little ones as well. I expect the trademark hilarious banter between the ball players will be back as well, this author has the gift of conveying true male humor.
This book has been provided by the Publisher and Nergalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. Kidd was just the perfect hero. Kept his head up even when things didn't look good. It was Saylor that I just couldn't fall in love with. I understand she felt put in a corner but it just got tiring listening to her excuses to not help out Kidd. Of course, her daughter stole the show. Love it when those little girls get the big tough guys all wrapped around their fingers.
Liked seeing the rest of the team and their HEA's a well. Enjoyable series overall.

I have read this author before and the other books in the series this story was NOTHING like I expected. The description of this book leaves a lot of information out and its very important info, so don't keep reading this review if you don't want to know.
Did I enjoy this book? I really cannot decide. The writing is good. I really liked the main characters. But the plot, the things left out of the description, well I would have never read this book if I had known. In some places I felt all of the issues facing Saylor and Travis were too much and they made this story more dreary and totally not fun. Eventually Travis comes up fighting for Saylor and all the things in his way and thats when the book gets good but that was only the last 10% or so of the book, and I loved that part. Seriously its the only reason I ended up liking this book.
Now here is the spoilers and what I think needs to be a part of the book:
The book starts in a bar, Travis meets this woman who he ends up leaving and she gets mad at him and screams rape at him. Saylor is there and she knows that he never went home with this woman. So everyone knows he did not rape this woman. And the story is really about Travis being accused of rape and what happens to him. Even though the DNA test is negative, he is still in the hot seat for 80% of the book.
So you ask why doesn't Saylor just say there is no way he raped this woman, well because she drove drunk and lost her license and if she says she was in a bar, she will go to jail for violating parole. She has a young daughter in this story and she is being hounded by the father in this story and if the father finds out, she will lose her daughter as well.
So this story is about Travis deciding he wants Saylor back. They had a one night stand years before which was against her sports agent contract, so if they find out they are dating, she can be fired. But this story is really about the cry of rape, Saylor's baby daddy trying to get his daughter and the fact that if she tells the truth she will go to jail.
