I wasn't sure what to think but decided to have a go at this book.
I was NOT disappointed, it was a great read of a new (to me) author.
the story was intriguing and with a bit of action it kept me reading and leading me along.
I would recommend this book and will be reading the next one too.

Blood land by R.S. Gutherie.
 Sheriff James Pruett answers his ringing phone.
 “There’s been a shooting over to the Rory McIntyre place, Sheriff. Things ain’t good, you need to come fast.” The caller disconnected.
 Deputy Red Horse Baptiste was on patrol.
The other Deputies Melody Munney. Zach Canter. Along with the sheriff they will do all they can to catch the killer before he Kills again.
A very enjoyable read. I liked the story and the characters apart from the killer. I didn't like the courtroom bit. Other than that a good read  4*

I'm hooked. I was actually hooked from page one if I'm being totally honest. A unique and intriguing writing style with descriptions that while waxing poetic, are not heavy and do not weigh down the reader or the story. If you love mysteries, you will absolutely fall in love with this book!

My wife found Blood Land for me to read and I admit that I didn't approach it with much enthusiasm. It didn't fall within the parameters of my reading tastes. I WAS WRONG! I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Money Land. This book is a keeper, never to be removed from my Kindle.

Guthrie is an author to follow. He writes with passion and great finesse in this gritty and emotional saga. His characters are believably authentic and his descriptions put you in the plot and situation.

This is a story ofgreed and vengeance set in the Wyoming badlands. The main character, James Pruett, is a 'hard-arse'.

This has all the makings of a great series. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent, lightning fast read by a new to me author that I'll definitely read more of. If you're looking for excitement, action, and great storytelling, this is for you!

This was my second taste of Guthrie and I enjoyed it as much as the first.

I quite enjoyed this modern day Western set in Wyoming. A well written story of family, greed, murder and a dash of intrigue. I will certainly read the next one in the series. Many thanks to Net Galley for my copy. I reviewed on Goodreads.
