James Pruett is a great hero, has grit and battling against authorities and bad guys he really shines and keeps you reading.
It's a great read and I would read another.

Money land by R.S. Gutherie.
When a small plane bound for the Canadian border carrying money for the Sustantivo Cartel smashes into the glacial Wind River Mountains, the event brings a heartless evil presence to one of the more remote places on earth.

The tail of the plane is discovered, empty. No drugs. No money. Shortly afterward, people start dying. When the cartel comes to town, Pruett will do anything within his power to save his town, his people, the land, and his family. Anything.
This was a very enjoyable read with likeable characters. I didn't like the cartel.  I liked the ending too. 4*.

After reading Blood Land by R. S. Guthrie, I just had to continue with the series. Money Land is the second installment in the James Pruett series and it doesn't disappoint.

Hard hitting law enforcer Sherriff James Pruett has his resources stretched when, following the crash of a small plane believed to be carrying drug cartel money, people in the small town of Wind River Wyoming start turning up dead.

Guthrie writes with a gritty realism that I enjoy.

Bring on Sherriff James Pruett #3!

A really good sequel to Blood Land, the first book in the series. A gritty and action packed modern Western, which I thoroughly enjoyed. A great setting in the mountains of Wyoming and skilfully written. Thank you Net Galley for my copy. I reviewed on Amazon and goodreads.

This was the first Guthrie book that I read and I was pleasantly surprised...it's not often that I find a new author that I like and want to actually continue their series'.
