Beauty and the book boyfriend

This is an adorable little fluffy story about Bellamey the reclusive best selling author who has major social anxiety. But she's being forced by her publistist to go on a extended book tour. And to make matters worse they hire a model to go with her and pose as the hero and lover of her character. Enter Caleb. At first you meet me you think hes a superfical model who is a major jerk. But as Belle gets to know him she finds out there's much more then meets the eye. He helps her be more confident and secure and she in turn helps him turn his own life around. This story is adorable but its not a YA book there is sex and that one scene!!! Whew! I try enjoyed this story and am curious to see what else this author has brought out.. 5 adorable stars from this gal.. If your looking for a feel good bit of naughty and a lot of good feels check out beauty and the beast <3

I really wanted to give this book the whole 4 stars but I couldn't move aside a few things I didn't like about this book.

First I will star with what I liked I loved the idea of the author becoming the leading girl of her books. I found that Idea very unique. I love the romance comedy side of this story. I loved our female lead before she meet or I should say fell for the male lead.

What I didn't like was how our female lead change after she started dating the male lead. She used to be this fiesty ball of fire when you messed with her but who was also this shy girl. I just liked her personality more before.
Also the male lead wasn't of my liking. He was such a cocky douchebag that when he started dating our lead girl I couldn't move aside my disliking him.

But if I could of moved my disliking of those few things aside I would of given this book a 4 stars.

When Bellamy Strong started writing, it wasn’t with the intention of becoming the next phenomenon. It was…to be blunt she had no friends. School is rough on the anti-social. It’s even harder publishing your books and the world decides it wants a piece of you.

Now her series is ending and her publisher is demanding she show up for her fans. End her reclusive persona. A three month, worldwide book tour dressed as Makyla, the lead character in her book. As for Maxsen, the love interest, her fans pick model Caleb Pace to play the role during a casting contest. No big deal right?

What happens when your fantasy comes to life and turns out better than you imagined?

This book had me on the first page. The author could have been in my head, that's how weird reading this book was. I laughed out loud so many times that I was getting the furry eyeball from my pets from waking them up!! Hand to God, that is no joke. When Belle, aka Bellamy, calls Caleb, Summer, I lost it!! For him being a giant Douche...and it justs rolls on from there. To Caleb having to find the cleanest bathroom using his cleanest bathroom app to him just being a total butt. He is the way he is for a reason and you come to love him for it. At first, I was like "how am I supposed to like this guy when I hate him as much as I do?" Then, I was all "OMG, I've got a crush on him because he's so sad!!" This book definitely had its snarky moments and those are the ones where you're going "YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I loved the best friends who made the book and their romance. I'm not giving away the plot because really just take the time to read it and don't read the stupid reviews that are 3 stars or less because...You know what? They are jaded...we'll just leave it at that. I usually try to not read other reviews because it's difficult going into a book without forming an opinion but I did and their "opinions" were that they couldn't keep up because the points of view kept changing....look if you can't switch points of view in a book - You're SOL and for this book, it's told in the first person...so for them to say it switched points of view, that's hard. It told the story in the first person, but also spoke about other people? Is that what they meant about confusing?? If so, picture books might be your forte. I'm defending a book y'all and I never do that! Hold the presses.

Last thoughts: If you want to laugh, giggle, pee a little if you're older and lose some sleep then this is your book!!! Just go buy it...if you're disappointed - throw confetti at my picture on my website and it will make you feel better. Promise!!

I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on NetGalley for an honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.

Beauty and the Book Boyfriend by KM Galvin was released on March 28, 2017. I heard a lot about this book leading up to the release, both positive and negative. Hearing all about this book made me wonder and I had to find out for myself. The story is about Bell who is an author that is very self conscious and avoids the publicity all while not having any friends. She goes on book tour as the main character in her book along with the book boyfriend that her fans voted for. I found this book to be an ok read. I felt that the points of view kept changing so much that I could not keep up at times. The characters could use more back story to add more depth. While I understand that some readers really liked this book, I have to say I am not one of them. I am willing to read more works from this author. **I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**

The book was light and funny but a bit immature for my taste, also quite predictable. It might be okay for a beach read but there was just not enough going on for me.

Beauty and the Book Boyfriend, K.M. Galvin

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance, General fiction

A book about and author and her books....interesting I thought. Well, it was...and it wasn't.

The idea was interesting, Bell and her friend/PA are on a tour promoting the final book in the series, and painfully self-conscious, publicity avoiding Bell has to dress up as the book heroine Mykala, while they bring in a model dressed as Max, along with his PA to accompany her.
Road tour with people who've never met but are spending the next two months in very close proximity, could be fun, could be a disaster.

I had issues with Bell, I get she's self conscious but she doesn't always act like it, appearing brash and over confident sometimes and at other times its causing her to have panic attacks.
She's kind of rude too, to Caleb. Fair enough at first meeting he was a jerk and deserved it, but she continues even while they've formed a friendship.

I just wasn't convinced of the enemies to freinds to lovers and maybe more in their story. I'm not really sure why though, I can't quite work out what it is that stops me believing in them but something does. I think the real crux is that I wasn't keen on any of the characters that much, I just didn't really get a feel for them as real people, and that's so important to me.

It'll be a perfect read for others of course, and I'm glad for them. We all look for different things and though this one wasn't for me it was well written and I'd be happy to try another by this author.

Stars: Two, sadly not one for me.
