This is just an absolutely gorgeous book. It grabbed me from just seeing the cover and description.

The illustrations inside are just adorable. Very soft, water colour like illustrations just soften the overall story. It reads more as a handbook/guide rather than a story but could be used as an analogy for pets or friends in general.

Would be a perfect gift for any child or adult, I would personally buy it for myself as I just can't get over how much I love it. I haven't come across something like this before and it is a very unique idea. I do hope there is some sort of follow up or addition to this book. It's just incredibly sweet. Can not praise it enough.

A cute little bundle of joy with quirky and very helpful tips on caring for your ghost (if you find one that is). The illustrations were amazing - mostly black and white and very halloweeny. Loved them!

The strong and beautiful message of friendship imbued in the book is so effortlessly portrayed and will be one that is important for children and adults alike.

Short, adorable read, highly recommended!

How to Make Friends with a Ghost is charming and delightful! Rebecca Green has written and illustrated a sweet and funny book that is perfect to read to your little one and will be equally good when your little one can read it on his or her own.
I had my eight-year-old read it and she thought it was great, too! We agreed that it would be very fun to make friends with the ghost in the book.
I highly recommend this story. I plan to give it to all the kids in my life.

A how to guide on befriending a ghost. Here are a few rules.
Rule #1. Do not try to track down a ghost.
~If you are sweet, warm and kins now will find you.
Rule #2. Do not run away from a ghost. They are very sensitive.
~Instead greet it with a smile, wave and your name.

I really really loved this book. I'm obsessed with everything spooky. When spookiness is mixed with cuteness it's a million times better. I thought that the end papers were so fun and cute. I liked the way that the illustrations were drawn. The do and don't were funny. All in all it's a must read for anyone into spooky reads and how to books. I plan on buying myself a physical copy when it comes out. Go check it out.

5/5 ⭐

This book is illustrated fabulously and really is a joy to read. My children absolutely adored it. Although it is a children book, it raises a very grown up issue of friendship, loneliness and how to make friends when you are different and how to adapt to your friends, when they are different in any regard. Very thought provoking and highly recommended to other.

Hummmmmm. An interesting read. It’s literally a “how to” manual rather than a story. The illustrations are fine, and I see some kids liking the story. That being said, I think it has no value for Storytime, or group read events.

Fun little gift book for Hallowe'en and other occasions, in the form of a guide to forming a friendship with a ghost, which we're reminded can be for life – and beyond. The artwork is fine, the lessons suitably daft and droll – it did feel a little inconsequential, however. Still, it should be a hit.

I did not really get this book. My initial response was what is going on here. As I read through it, I could see where it could be useful to teach about how to manuals with a bit of fun. The illustrations were cute and added to the book. The idea of growing old with your ghost was nice and could be transferred to family and friends. Overall this book was just okay for me.

Bellissimo.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my! Oh my! When I spotted this book I was already in love, with both the blurb and the cover, but now I am in love with the entire book!

This was just such a delight to read, each page that I swiped (because one only gets ebooks from Netgalley) was filled with so much fun and joy.

The book is a guide on how to make friends with ghosts. From how to find them, and how to get them in your house (though that part seemed a bit like a ghostnapping), to what they like to eat (some very disgusting things), to what to do when you move, and so many more fun things.

There are references to fictional books (From Gross to Boast: Grooming Tips For Your Ghost), and I just want all those books to also come out.

The ending just made me tear up a bit. Oh my, I didn't expect that.

The illustrations are just wonderful. I love the style and the use of colours (nothing to bright or fancy, instead it focuses on brown, red, orange, white, grey which fit the book like a glove).

All in all, this is one book I would highly recommend to everyone!

A fun children's book about making friends with, you guessed it, a ghost.
