I feel bad that I’ve had this ARC for a couple years now. I really liked this book. It was a cute summer read. It dealt with some heavy issues. But once I started I clutched it down.

I've heard so many great things about this author, but this book really fell flat for me. The story just went nowhere, and the main character wasn't very likable.

This is a utterly charming novel although Grace did get on my nerves. I love this authors writing as it has a smooth consistency to the flow that is pleasing to read. I love the descriptions of supporting characters and the location. This is a book all women can relate to as women we have to start over in life many times and no one is perfect. I like that Grace has flaws as we all do and that she stands on her own two feet. Well done and a enjoyable reading experience.

I looked forward to reading this title since I enjoyed reading The Irresistible Blueberry Café by Simses. However in this storyline the main character was not as mature as her age to the point of being annoying. I did love the fact that she returned to her hometown after a string of bad luck. I enjoyed the family relationships as well. Simses writing style helps you to visualize the scenes. I loved the beautiful cover.

I chose this cute story because it’s set on the Connecticut shore, where I spend some time on the beach with my children each summer. I liked meeting Grace, and seeing the family dynamics as she temporarily stayed with her parents. I enjoyed meeting the people in her hometown, especially the bike shop peeps. But then Grace got a little unlikeable: immature (re)actions toward men she’s crushing on, blundering through her home life, and making some disappointing choices. The bike rides were beautiful, though, and so was the happily ever after, but the ride could’ve been a little smoother. Note: If you like your heroines seriously flawed, you’ll appreciate this book more than I did.

Grace Hammond's life isn't what she thought it would be, and she returns to the Connecticut town where she grew up to work out what to do next. But Grace may be forced to confront her own past in town, from the tragic death of her older sister to the boys she once knew...and loved...in high school. Recommended for fans of quirky small-town romances.

I must confess...the cover art captivated my attention...but the story captured my heart. I loved it. Have shared this novel w/ all of my reading friends.

Grace has just lost her job, her boyfriend broke up with her and now the apartment upstairs has had a leak that just happened to flow right into her apartment. Now, she's back home living with her parents for who knows how long.

Things aren't always going right for Grace and they continue that way after she returns back to her hometown. Lots of things and people from her past keep coming up, sometimes good and sometime bad.

This was a cute story, I did have trouble with the protagonist though. She irked me quite a bit, however, she did have some reasons and past issues which helped to make her into the person she had become. And, while she irked me, she wasn't even close to being the worst character I've come upon. She had her faults and once you discovered some things in her past, you could see how she would be that way.

All in all, I enjoyed the story with a lot of sympathy for Grace.

Thanks to Little, Brown and Company and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

I liked this story but it didn't knock my socks off. A woman loses her job and returns to her parents house in small town Connecticut. She has to confront the loss of her sister when they were younger. Old boyfriend and a visiting celebrity compete for her affection. Grace seems to be a little stuck in the past.
