This book was not what I was expecting. There is so much heart and forgiveness in this book, it was truly a great read. There are some funny moments and some grab your tissues because this book has all the feels too. Amazing character development in this book. Truly wonderful writing that pulls you in and you just need to know what happens next.

This book is OK. Not great. I found myself caught up in the drama between Oliver and Holland, but I was bored enough during the first half of the book that I skimmed over page after page of uninteresting writing. It just took too much time to explain some of the VERY non-essential bits of the story.
Oliver and Holland both need counseling. Instead of getting some they took out their problems on each other in spite of loving each other. This was hard to take. I wanted to shake some sense into both of them. So we have a book about a rather boring company that is on the brink of ruin, and we have a couple of rather un-endearing people we are supposed to care about. Just not my cup of tea. I won't be looking for more from this author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book although I did find it a little implausible that Holland wouldn't recognize Oliver as the CEO of the company she's been working at for a few years. I know he had been gone for months & hadn't shaved, cut his hair, or really taken care of himself, but I would think there would be a glimpse of him under all of that. I still really enjoyed the story & wold highly recommend it. I couldn't put it down. The heat between the two was smoking, even when she acted like she detested him. The scenes were just as steamy when they didn't involve sex. They just have great chemistry. Lots of ups & downs with their relationship (almost too much so but Oliver is immature) but worth it. Great book!

I definitely got sucked into reading this by the cover. This was a cute story but a bit frustrating at times. I really just wanted to knock Oliver upside his head.
Oliver recently lost his parents and meets and immediately falls in love with Holland. Their relationship was so back and forth. But the drama is what kept me reading.
I will definitely keep my eye out for more books by Delancey Stewart.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I couldn't finish this book. I tried, but it just felt so trite and unbelievable. I mean, I get it. These books are ALL fantasy, to a degree, but there has to be a little bit of reality thrown in there for good measure.

this one goes back and forth between POV which I like in a book, however, it repeats itself a bit too much.

This book was good I have read several books by this author and I can always rely on her to provide an excellent story.

When I started reading this book, my feelings about Oliver Cody, CEO of Cody Technology, was that he was a whiney baby. He had a privileged life, loving parents, great college education. Thanks to a sports gadget that Cody invented and his genius dad perfected and marketed, they were filthy rich. Until one day, Oliver was on the summit of his perfect life, with the perfect fiancée, on the brink of marriage, and he suddenly realized he didn't know himself. Huh?!? So he broke up his engagement, left his CEO job, left his dad in charge of their company and took to wandering the world, surfing at all the gorgeous beaches, trying to find himself. Until one day he receives a phone call about his parents, and he has to return home, face his life, face his demons and make something concrete about all he had experienced in the six months he'd been away.
Everyone wanted a piece of him, of course, since he's the CEO and the company is adrift and the board and investors are about to abandon a sinking ship. And all he could say was: "I can't". And he was mad because people didn't understand why. He was angry at the world, angry at his parents, he couldn't care about anything at the moment except for the next bottle of liquor.
Holland O'Dell was a Girl With A Plan. The plan had been penned in a Powerpuff girls notebook when she was ten-year old, and she diligently followed her plan to success until now. She was first in her class of applied statistics and applied for a job at the company she had chosen, Cody Technology. The job she got was in sales, a little different from the one she wanted, in sports statistics, but no matter, she had another plan to get there. She had borrowed the plans to the initial gadget that had started it all, and was going to work on a modification that would achieve her goals.
One day she was working on her new plan with the new re-invented gadget in the corporate coffee shop when Oliver arrives and orders a coffee over everyone in line. Holland told him off and Oliver felt a spark. In all the darkness that surrounded him, Holland provided a bit of light. He pursued Holland, offering help with her project, without ever revealing his true identity. He used his nickname "Hale" of when he was young and a surfer. They work on the project, they harass each other, Holland keeps using him and scolding him and bossing him, and slowly brings him into the light. I liked Holland, she was smart, spunky, snarky. She had her issues that stem from her bringing up (won't tell to prevent spoilers) and she helps Oliver grow up and overcome all his issues. Holland's foster-sister, Delia, is also a strong presence in the books, as is Pamela, Oliver's administrative assistant.
I liked the pace and liked the story. I just felt that Oliver held tight to his issues and took a long time to overcome and understand. Down that road he hurt and/or offended people, but at least he was big enough to apologize and make amends.

This book. It was amazing. The attraction between Holland and Oliver was scorching, from the moment they met in the coffee shop. This book was very well written and I would definitely read more of this author's books.
Perhaps a story about Pamela and Sam????

Good read..I just wish there wasn't so much back and forth in terms of misunderstandings all at the end. It felt like there was a bit of a rush to wrap it up.

This was one of those insta-love and indecisive love stories that could leave a reader a bit annoyed. For me, I enjoyed it so I'll be giving it a 3.5 star rating, but I will say that this story was absolutely quick with how everything progressed.
Holland is a girl that loves to plan and control everything in her life. If it doesn't go with her plans than she doesn't get involved with it. However, when she meets Oliver her plans are all derailed and make her start to question whether planning her whole life out is worth it. I thought Holland was quiet interesting. She worked hard to get where she was in life though she grew up a with a hard life. She never gave up, she kept working but became obsessed with controlling everything which became her downfall.
Oliver was a CEO and a jerk every now and then, but considering the things he found out following his parents death I could see why he was the way he was. I enjoyed Oliver, but I hated his indecisive ways. I just wanted to slap some major sense into him. Granted finding out the truth about his parents he had a right to get upset, but he should not have let it control his feelings and love he had for Holland. I am glad however that he was able to find out the truth and fully understand what family and love truly is.
The romance though cute annoyed the crap out of me because it was all so fast with how things happened between the two. I do love how they met and became close, but things seemed to go in a roller-coaster after Holland found out who Oliver was. Don't get me wrong they both had a reason to doubt things, but the constant doubting just irked me.
This was an okay read and a quick one as well.

I picked up Mr. Big mainly for the cover model. He’s got what I call “business abs.” By that I mean the phenomena of the male lead of a workplace based contemporary romance always having a ripped set of abs regardless of the fact that he spends countless hours at a desk and is rarely if ever seen working out. It’s a bit of contemporary romance magic that never falters. So when I saw this cover, I thought I was in for a book of awesome smutty delights. However, this was not the case. Well, there was smut (obviously) but Mr. Big wasn’t what I would call “delightful.” I’ll explain… I DON'T CARE!
The reason it took me so long to finally finish Mr. Big was that I had to force myself to keep reading. I was really hoping to find something engaging in here but I just couldn’t connect to the story or the characters. I really wanted to give a shit but I just couldn’t. The story wasn’t particularly unique and the characters didn’t feel like real people. I know Delancey Stewart tried really hard to develop the characters but I just didn’t connect to them whatsoever. In fact, I don’t even particularly like them. I can’t put my finger on exactly what’s wrong with the characters. They just had this air of artificiality about them.
Furthermore, both Oliver and Holland are the dumbest characters. All Holland does is complain and obsess about what other people think of her. Oliver is and asshole and a coward. They’re both kind of lousy characters and so, in that respect, they’re probably perfect for each other. I don’t want to be super spoiler-y but in their second (yes SECOND) inevitable breakup Oliver is a massive piece of shit. I could not fathom how Holland would just take him back immediately. At the very least he should have to work incredibly hard to regain her trust.I get it… they love each other and at the end of the day they desperately want to be together. However, it doesn’t change the fact that Oliver is a piece of shit and doesn’t deserve immediate forgiveness. It made me completely not respect Holland for taking him back so easily. I think the story could have used some retooling. I feel like if Oliver could have come to his senses earlier and then had to work for forgiveness I would have wanted to root for them more. As it is, I didn’t feel like there were satisfactory consequences for his actions.
In the end, Mr. Big was fairly mediocre. It had its moments, but overall pretty forgettable. This just wasn’t the book for me. I could see that Delancey Stewart tried very hard and the writing itself wasn’t bad. I just didn’t care about these characters and their story. I wanted to but I just couldn’t. However, that cover model is really something spectacular! At least the book still has that going for it.

Oliver’s world was rocked after the death of parents upon learning some shocking information. He reacts poorly, isolating and not caring about his career. Until h meets Holland, a motivated woman who challenges him and doesn’t know who he really is. These two pair up to save their company, and the sparks fly. Cute story. Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a bit of a slow starter for me. In the beginning, I really disliked the hero and was starting to think about not continuing this book. Then, he ran into the heroine and things started to get interesting. I finally started to get pulled into the story. The sexual chemistry between these two is quite strong and leads to some hot sex scenes. These two help each other and find love with one another. There are a few hurdles thrown in there that cause some problems, but they eventually get it right and get their HEA. This was just an okay read for me. They both had some bad moments, him more then her, where I wanted to shake them. They eventually got it right in the end though.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The story was a little far-fetched for my taste, but it was a so-so read. I could've done without the accidental pregnancy. That's straight out of an 80"s Harlequin book.

Loved this book. I like how the story went back and forth between Holland and Oliver and you git to experience feelings from both sides. Can't wait to read more by this author.

I really wanted to love this book, but unfortunately, the blurb was probably the best part. The book started out great (or the prologue did) - it reminded me a lot of Emma Chase. I was excited to continue reading since I love Emma Chase and her romantic comedies with a side of drama. Unfortunately, the book started slow, the hero/heroine both annoyed me by the end and I really didn't feel the love.
Holland graduated 2nd in her class, is incredibly smart and has a list of her life goals that control her life. First on that list, moving up in ranks Cody Tech. She has this great idea, but is stuck working in sales (since apparently the company has something against women...), so she works after hours trying to get a leg up on that promotion. She's in line at the company coffee shop one day when this arrogant jerk jumps in front of everyone in line. She's having none of that and proceeds to tell this guy off. Little does she know at the time that the guy is Oliver, CEO of Cody Tech.
Oliver has been away from the company for nearly a year. He receives some bad news at the beginning of the book that takes him away from his surfing in South Africa and back to the office. Only he goes a little crazy, is probably clinically depressed, hates the world and spends months away from the company he's supposed to be running. He's let himself go, so he pretty much looks like a homeless guy. This is why Holland doesn't recognize him all those weeks after they meet in the coffee shop.
Holland is working on this project of hers, but she needs a developer to help her iron out the technical aspects before she pitches it to the MLB. Oliver volunteers to help, but again, keeps his identity a secret. The jerk of a guy turns out to be kind of charming, but also a broken individual. But there's no denying the lust Holland has for him. Eventually they start something up but again, he doesn't tell her who he is. Once he does, she gets mad, thinks she gets the promotion just because she's 'sleeping with the boss' and ends things with him eventually.
Honestly, the on again-off again thing was a bit annoying in this book. They love each other, but not enough to give the other a chance. This continues for so long and then she finds out something and he accuses her of lying and leaves her. When he does this, he loses any and all respect I had for him and he couldn't redeem himself in my eyes after 7 months of the cold shoulder and lack of support. His giraffe gesture was probably the one thing that I loved about him since it was so thoughtful - it actually made me teary. I would have never let Oliver off the hook that easily after what he did (or didn't do).
And Holland was equally as annoying with her 'I have a plan and have to follow that plan exactly or it doesn't count' take on life. Life happens and it's not always as planned, so just go with it and get over yourself already!
I don't think I've ever read a book where I disliked both the hero and heroine, so this was just disappointing. They get their HEA, but I still didn't see how they could love each other when they didn't give themselves time to even work on their relationship.
I wish I could rate it higher, but unfortunately the incredibly slow pace and immature behavior of the characters just left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Spicy contemporary romance about a CEO and an underling, but their lives and this story is unique. The plot revolving around sports statistical equipment and its technology is intriguing, as well as the romance that blooms between these two characters. There are certainly a couple of times when I said" ok, added drama for no reason", but for the most part, this one is better than I expected from the title and description.

I am an avid reader and it is my escape from everyday's troubles, so I really hate it when I don't make a connection with a book, especially one I got through NetGalley in exchange for a review. I pick books that sound like an interesting story and usually I can tell right away if it will be a good read or not, and with this book I struggled. Now glancing at other reviews I noticed that I am in the minority, but we all have different tastes and expectations from the books we pick. Despite the fact that I was not crazy about the cover in retrospect it really made no sense, our hero is blond and there was very little "romance" going on besides the main characters finding each other hot etc. Now sex scenes are not vital to make a good read but it needs to have something to draw me in and this book just did not do it, it was predictable and I just never cared about the characters enough, I found myself skipping ahead, never a good sign. Very disappointing read for me.

DNF...although the writing was well done, the story was too cheesy for me to finish.
