Not a stand alone, you DO need to read book one, Frostbite, but that said, its worth the investment. Elegant worldbuilding and a unique premise, I loved it, thank you!

I was so impressed with the first book, I was afraid to read the second for fear it wouldn’t live up to the greatness of the first one. I needn’t have worried. Two Wizard Roulette was a non-stop, action-packed thrill-ride as good as its predecessor, Frostbite. A wonderful cast of characters, both good guys and bad guys, add to the overall plot in unexpected ways with multiple POVs enhancing the reader’s knowledge of unfolding events. Mr. Bader has a way with words that make every scene come alive and keeps the reader on the edge, waiting to find out what is going to happen next. I do have to warn readers that yes, this one ended on a cliffhanger. If you love a great urban fantasy in league with Simon R. Green, Jim Butcher, and Jim C. Hines, look no further as Mr. Bader has you covered in the great series Modern Knights. I CAN NOT wait to see what is going to happen next. Very highly recommend! Thanks to NetGalley and City Owl Press for the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed. This exact review will be posted on both Amazon and Goodreads.

Interesting take on urban fantasy and plenty of strange characters as you would expect, and a very strange world.I do think if authors have the imagination this must be a really fun genre to write, and that sense of fun comes across in this book. There was plenty going on, I liked the main character, and the pace of the book was good.Interesting story too, kept me page turning.I believe this is the second book, and I do think I should have my wrists slapped for not reading the first book, and I would suggest other readers read them in order although you can just jump into this one as I did if you wanted to.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance reader copy of this book and would like to thank the publishers and netgalley.
