Great poems showing the journey of a man as he grows from a young boy. This collection could be especially beneficial to children coping with divorce.

Overall this collection of poetry was decent one. There were a few poems which I loved a lot while a few just went straight above my head.
These poems compiles every aspect of life, basically the author's life, from his childhood to his current age. He talks about his rough childhood and the experiences he has gained over the years.

Every poem is kind of attached to the next one and thus feels like a story. However, I was not able to connect to all of those poems. If you like a decent poetry collection, you could try this.

This was a decent collection of poetry. Edward Bonner has compiled poems that encompass every aspect of his life so far, from childhood up until his current age. Recently, I’ve been extremely interested in more personal poetry that chronicles various events in the writer’s life, and this was a fairly enjoyable one. It was intriguing to see Bonner reflect on all the aspects of his life that shaped him into who he is today. As the collection progresses, he picks apart and comes to term with many of his most intense emotions and the pain of a rough childhood.

You get the sense that Bonner is conveying an understanding that he has gathered through the years—he is finally able to properly comprehend and express the feelings he could not as a child. The collection as a whole truly makes you feel the incredible mental and emotional journey Bonner has gone through since he was a young boy, and that makes his words very poignant. Each poem flows into the next, giving it a very story-like quality. With a kind and intelligent voice, Bonner takes his readers on a ride that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming.

Through the Eyes of a Lost Boy is a book of poetry spanning from childhood through older (past middle) age. Ed Bonner grew up in a rough neighborhood in Pittsburgh, PA. and through these poems works through much of what happened to him and brought him to where he is today.

I was especially touched by Green Man, Pretending "Not", Arthritis, Hide Out, No More, Injury of the Mind, First love, I'll be Your Cover, Echoes and I Carry Your Heart.

If you enjoy poetry, this just may have something you'll connect with.

Many thanks to NetGalley and eTreasures Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book.

This poetry collection was beautiful and haunting. The illustrations fit the theme of the book so well.
