This is how you write a good second chance romance! You make either both characters celibate as it happened in this book, or you have both of them move on. This is my favorite story so far in the series, which is a surprise to me since I am not usually a fan of SCRs. I did wish that this story would be just a little bit longer, mainly because I enjoy Katie Reus' writing.

Maguire was meeting a realtor about the property he was interested in buying. Maguire had been in Afghanistan while serving his country , when he came home he had trouble assimilating into the civilian world. He restored his mustang and that had been the best therapy. As the front door opened Maguire’s smile froze as it was Samantha Murphy and she was as surprised as he was. Sam and Maguire had spent a passionate week together when he had been home on leave from the Marines, they had made several promise to each other and then she ghosted on him. Maguire had never got the woman out of his head. As far as he knew Samantha had been in Oregon the last three years. He said to Sam “ You’re back in Holly” Sam said she had moved back when her father had died. She wanted to be there with her mother. Even though her mom seemed to be handling everything well. Maguire would not give Sam the satisfaction of knowing how much she had hurt him. Than Sam got angry and said she had went to the airport to say goodbye and ran into his other girlfriend Amy Barrett. She let Sam know Maguire was having sex with both of them. Sam’s smell even affected Maguire now and he hated that it did. Than Sam apologized when she saw Maguire was serious when he said he’s only been with hre. Than he asked her to go out to dinner the next night and she agreed. Sam said she had more places he could look at if he wanted to. Maguire said he was free and they could look at the places. He wanted to spend more time with Samantha. He planned on spending tonight finding out more about what she’d been up to these last few years. Also why she’s been so willing to believe he cheated on her. Maguire was the sexiest man Sam had ever known. Sam wanted to spend time with him in a non-working setting now she knew he hadn’t cheated on her. Sam had lost a lot of weight while in college. She hadn’t been used to guys paying attention to her. Than Maguire- a guy she had crushed on hard when she was younger, He’d been five years older than her, out of her league, and she had no idea who she was back than. They stopped for coffee and a snack after looking at the places she had to set up. Than Maguire asked if she was seeing anyone and she said no. Sam hadn’t dated in awhile as she had been consumed with work. After maguire she became a workaholic, determined to carve out a name for herself. Maguire was nervous around Samantha . She brought out possessive feelings he’d never experienced with anyone else. Keeping his hands and mind busy helped with the nightmares, which was why he worked so much. He was seriously zoning out, thinking about Samantha, which wasn’t like him. Even when he was focused on a project he kept his surroundings in check out of habit. Always, it was ingrained in him. Sam had never met anyone else who made her feel like Maguire did. Than in one of the places they looked out Maguire gave s Sam oral sex as he wanted to taste her again. Than Sam had to cancel dinner as her mother had sounded melancholy when she checked on her so Sam went to hre moms for the night. The next morning she went out to take her mother to the hairdressers and found she had two flat tires. Sam thought it was odd she had two flat tires. Than her phone rang it was Maguire and once she told him about her tires he said he would pick them up and take them where they had to go. He was also sending one of his guys to pick up Sam’s car and her mother's car would be ready this afternoon instead of tomorrow. Than him and Sam stopped for coffee nd he got a te3xt form one of his guys and Sam’s tires had been purposely slashed. That evening when Maguire pulled up to pick up Sam she seen a man outside on her balcony. The guy took off and Maguire didn’t dare take off after him in case there was someone else there. He called his soon to be brother in law Brad who was the sheriff. He then got out his weapon and went through Sam’s house. Sam had a stalker who had made harassing phone calls to her cell and office, show up at her work and her home uninvited. A man she had a restraining order against in Oregon. A man who had broke in her condo. She was spending the night at Maguires and maguire’s brother was spending the night at her moms to make sure she was ok. Samantha was a-one- of -a kind- woman and Maguire wasn’t letting go. Maguire would protect her with everything he had. No one was getting past him. Nelson Smith- Sam’s stalker- was in Holly. His credit card showed he had a room at a hotel on the outskirts of town for another week in a half but he hadn’t been there the last two days.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the pace and plot. I read this in one setting. I loved Sam and Maguire together. I was glad Sam could see maguire wasn’t lying when he told her he hadn’t cheated on her. I loved how close Sam was to her mom and Maguire to his family. This was a good romance and just enough angst and drama. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

Three years ago hadn’t been the right time for them. Now certainly was.

It’s Me Again, Baby is a wonderful second chance—at- love story by the mega-talented Katie Reus! Katie is one of my favorite authors and this book is the perfect blend of steamy romance and dangerous suspense. While it’s the third installment in Katie’s O’Connor Family series and characters from the previous books do make appearances, It’s Me Again, Baby can be easily enjoyed as a standalone if that is your preference.

This is the story of Samantha and Maguire O’Connor. Their tale is told from their dual points-of-view. Samantha walked away from Maguire years ago due to a huge misunderstanding. Neither has forgotten the other. Now, years later, Samantha has moved back to Holly, North Carolina – where it’s Christmas all year long - to be close to her mother. As the story opens, Maguire is looking to buy a new home and is surprised to discover that the woman he’s not been able to forget is his realtor.

Both Samantha and Maguire are likable, genuine characters with hot chemistry from the get-go. They have a history – so, technically, it’s not insta-love. Katie writes awesome alpha heroes and Maguire fits the alpha hero persona to the tee. He certainly flaunts it in this tale as Samantha has a threatening, unstable stalker and Maguire’s protective instincts are hastened to the forefront forthwith. Maguire is used to making decisions, issuing orders and having them followed without question. But, Samantha is an adult and has been living independently for years. She understands where he is coming from but she is no pushover. I especially like how the couple amicably works through the issue in an adult manner.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from It’s Me Again, Baby:

She was always the woman he didn’t want to lose…
---

“Maguire?”
His name on her lips brought up too many naked memories.
---

Taking her completely by surprise, he leaned down and strapped her in, his face only inches from hers as he took his time. He smelled fresh, crisp and oh so masculine. All she wanted to do was bury her face against his neck and breathe him in. Okay, she wanted to do more than that, but he smelled…

I listened to It’s Me Again, Baby. Sophie Eastlake does a great job bringing the story to life. Her voices of each gender are clear and sound realistic. She consistently differentiates between the characters and exudes the appropriate emotions. I love audios and, given a choice between reading the book and listening to Sophie perform it, I’ll choose Sophie’s narration every time.

I love this series featuring the HEA stories of the O’Connor siblings! If you enjoy well-plotted, exciting, heartwarming, sweet and sexy romances with a generous side of dangerous suspense, I’d highly encourage you to check out Katie Reus’ O’Connor Family series.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Words to live by and Ms. Reus blends the heart of contemporary and the intrigue of suspense to create a seductive puzzler. Not to mention provide a little second chance love and a hint of matchmaking along the way. So many parts of the romantic genre have come together in a firecracker read.

Cute story about second chances at love. And to make it more interesting throw in a little stalker suspense.

One of my favorite authors has returned to the sweet and enchanting town of Holly, NC where the joy and emotion of Christmas is carried year round. I thought for sure when I started reading these stories that I would get tired of this tourist trap town and it’s residents quickly, but in fact I find myself loving them more and more and the O’Connor family is beyond interesting. This newest story brings back together two lovers that had a chance at love stolen from them years earlier, and boy are these two hot whenever they are breathing the same air. Thankfully their story goes far beyond the physical though with emotional hang-ups and fears driving their interactions and affecting more than just their chemistry together. Samantha and Maguire were both enjoyable characters to get to know and I loved seeing them get their second chance at a lasting relationship. While the length of their story is deceptively short, as always Katie manages to pack a lot of heart and heat into every moment between these two. There were some laughs, tears, and plenty of passion as Maguire and Sam found their way back into one another so arms, but much more importantly into one another’s hearts and lives. Maguire was a sweet, funny, and passionate man and I enjoyed seeing him share his life and dreams with Sam and find a way to forgive and forget past mistakes so quickly. Samantha was the kind of independent, fiery, and sensual woman I wish I could be, even though she was a little bit naïve when it came to the danger stalking her. Once again proving her ability to capture her readers and keep us hooked, Katie takes us on a fast and furious trip through the courtship of two people that let their fears keep them apart before but are detained to overcome and find a way to get their HEA this time. I loved returning to Holly and the O’Connell and look forward to continuing this series.

A short and sweet story about second chances. Ms Reus has done a fine job creating characters who are easy for you to form an emotional attachment to. The small setting is perfect in capturing the feel of family and community. I thoroughly enjoy her books and always grab them as soon as they become available.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Once again the O'Connor family is back with Maquire's story.

Maquire is meeting up with a real estate agent to look at a house. His mom set the meeting up for him and once he sees the agent he knows why. And clearly they were both surprised.

This is a quick escape in Holly filled with family and friends and the usual family hijinks. It's also a time for forgiveness and new beginnings.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute, quick read. I haven't read the other books in the series, but this definitely worked as a standalone. Fun, easy and sweet!

This wonderful story in the O'Connor Family series, is the perfect addition to the series. Maguire & Samantha are reunited with some manipulating by a family member. Three yrs have passed since she left without any notice or an explanation, now she's showing him possible properties to buy. The heat is still there & the truth comes out, someone lied to her pulling them apart. Now he's going pick up where he left off, only someone has a different idea. Definitely recommend.

Title:  It’s Me Again, Baby
Series:  O’Connor Family Book #3
Author:  Katie Reus
Genre:  Romance
Blurb:   She lost him once…

Years ago Samantha made a mistake and lost a chance at something real with Maguire O’Connor. Now that she’s living in Holly again, she knows seeing him is inevitable. But the last thing she ever expected was to take him on as a client.

Now they have a second chance…

Maguire never got over Sam. Thanks to a meddling family member, he mistakenly hires Sam as his real estate agent. With her in his sights again, he’s not letting her go. But someone from her past followed her back to Holly with a sinister intent. Now Maguire will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he intends to claim as his forever.
Thoughts: I’ve enjoyed all the novellas in this series (which is a favorite of mine). This one is probably my favorite and has a second-chance-at-love theme to it. Loved it and love the little town of Holly! Hope we have many more on this series.

This is a short story at least for me but the author packed it with some very hot steamy scenes which make for some good reading. Maguire O’Connor has been home from the Marines for three years and his auto businesses has taken off. Looking for a new place his mother found him a new realtor, and when he gets to place it is none other than Samantha. They dated years ago but for some reason she never stayed in touched. They have a discussion as to what happened and about the person who caused it. Once that is settled, they agree to look for a place for him and to date again. Both heat up very quickly and the scenes in this book between the two of them are very, very hot. Which made this a very good book to read. Oh it had a good story to go along with everything else and a little suspense in someone that was stalking Samantha. Overall a very good with good characters.

In the short novellas that make up this series, Katie Reus gives us strong alpha protective, possessive heroes that are determined to get the girl. In this case, you can add “again” and “to keep her safe”. After a three year separation, this main couple learn they were duped and waste no time letting old feelings become new again. Since they both remained celibate, it’s pretty much like they never parted.

Lusty thoughts and graphic smexy scenes, some which are in rather public places, mostly steal the show, folks, But you feel the chemistry and emotional connection between this very likable main couple, as well.. With some stalker drama that isn’t overly drawn out, it all wraps up very neatly within the allotted 99 pages.

So if you are looking for a quick, very lusty, second chance romantic read in a small hometown setting featuring a sweet, likable main couple, you might want to consider this one and check out the other books, as well.

Title: It’s Me Again, Baby, Series: O’Connor Family (Book 3), Author: Katie Reus, Pages: 99, stand-alone novella but part of a series, alpha protective hero, sweet/damsel in distress heroine, second chance romance, celibate since separation, stalker drama, no cheating, no love triangle, no OW/OM drama, VERY smexy scenes in public places, HEA.

I enjoyed this second chance romance. This is a quick easy read, not too much angst and great chemistry. Samantha and Maguire are great together and I loved watching them fall in love. I also loved the lack of angst between them, there is a misunderstanding in their past but it is quickly dealt with and they move on. I’m really enjoying this series (although this can easily be read stand alone) and can’t wait for more. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Quick but cute story with two “helpful” mothers that want to bring their children together and use a little scheming to accomplish it! Good thing that Maguire and Samantha were fine with the interference and started dating again.

It was great to see that Samantha matured in the three years that they were apart, and was no longer insecure. Maguire had his life all together and was a great guy, his description sounded like a bad boy – complete with a sleeve of tats, yet he was not cocky, loved his family, and was overall a great guy.

Throw a stalker into the mix and Maguire goes into to protective mode as he tries to keep Samantha safe. The one thing that Samantha really needed Maguire to work on was not that big of a deal because he could learn to ask Samantha instead of ordering her around!

I liked that this was a short read yet full of romance and drama. After reading this book (which is the third book in the series), I want to go back and read book 1 & 2, and see Maguire’s brother Jackson & Nora’s story, and his sister, Fallon and the sheriff’s story. This is such a great family, and I love that the setting is in Holly, NC with its Christmas theme year round!

It's Me Again, Baby (O'Connor Family Book 3) is Maguire and Sam’s story. Theirs is a second chance story after a break-up 3 years ago. Personally, I like the idea of a second chance. For these two things are not what they seem as they find out when thrown back together again. This is in part to a meddlesome mother, an exemplary mother I might add. Even though this is a contemporary romance and not a romance suspense, Katie Reus still gives the reader a quick pace, full of action story.

It is short, sweet but very sexy read. I enjoy the town, the family, and especially Maguire and Sam who are stronger together now. Also, I liked the epilogue which helps seeing the successful realization of Maguire and Sam’s relationship in the future. I love the title, too!

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.

Once again I should have remembered what this series was like before I agreed to read for a review. This series is a sweet contemporary romance and like the second book in this series, it was a little too simplistic for me. I have loved many other Katie Reus books but am going to have to remember that this series is just not for me. The writing is very good as always with her stories, and the plot was sweet and simple. If you are looking for a cute NA romance, this is the book for you.
