Katie Reus is one of my favorite authors and I have really enjoyed this series of novellas set in North Carolina. It's Me Again, Baby is a second chance love story starring Maguire O'Connor and Samantha. The book starts after Samantha has returned to town after years away. Her and Maguire had a week long fling, then Samantha left and never returned his calls.

You learn the reason for her departure and subsequent miscommunication in the very first couple of pages so the set up of the story felt a little rushed to me. However, the perk to this was that the rest of the story focuses on Maguire and Sam finding their way back to each other. You also get all the quirkiness that comes with the O'Connor family. They are nosy and brash which adds a lot of humor!

Overall, this is a short read with interesting characters and swoony romance. If you are looking for something sweet and quick, It's Me Again, Baby is a perfect pick to fill an afternoon!

So good. Just so, so good. I loved the second chance story! A sexy and sweet novella!

I tend to rate novellas lower than a full length book unless it’s a truly great read. This one definitely falls into that category. It has an actual plot, secondary characters that fit with the storyline, an awesome hero and heroine and plenty of romance and steamy goodness. And for all those readers who hesitate to read a second chance at love story due to celibacy issues, have no fear here. It is all good.

I loved Maguire and Samantha. Their separation was a little aggravating but it is dealt with quickly and they move on toward getting to know each other again. As all of Katie Reus’ heroes, Maguire is a total obsessive, possessive alpha and Sam likes him for it. She does stand up to him though when the situation warrants it and they work through any issues they have in an adult manner.

This is a fast paced, quick read told in dual points of view and I absolutely must check out any other books in this series.

3.5 Stars. I really loved the first two books in this series but this one just wasn't quite as good IMO. I like a good second chance romance but I found this one a little bit less believable then I wanted to. I think maybe if Sam and Maguire had been together for more than one week the first time I would have been more on board when they immediately jumped into a serious, sexual relationship. I also would have believed the fact that they both remained celibate a little easier to believe.

However, I still enjoyed the book. I like the writing style and the characters were likable. The book moved quickly and there was plenty of steam. I'm enjoying this series and although this one jumped into a sexual relationship a bit quickly and lacked a good foundation for the romance I still enjoyed the book and look forward to the continuation of this series.

What’s it About? Maguire O’Connor and Samantha Murphy had a brief hot and heavy fling that might have turned into something more had a misunderstanding and insecurities not played a part in separating them. Now Sam is back in Holly to be closer to her family, but when the meddling O’Connor matriarch shamelessly puts Sam in Maguire’s path, things start to heat up quickly even as someone from Sam’s past is stalking her.

Overall reaction to the story? Katie Reus’ talent for writing fulfilling novellas continues in It’s Me Again Baby, the latest installment of the O’Connor Family series. Maguire and Sam might be my favorite couple in the series, they had such an electric connection that was believable and intense but also sweet and funny. The light suspense only added to my enjoyment of this second chance romance and gave a pretty solid reason for Maguire and Sam to spend a lot of time together aside from their obvious attraction. One thing that really stood out to me is that while Maguire was the big tough guy, it was Sam who did most of the seducing this time around. Maguire didn't put up a fight but still, it was nice to see the woman step up and go for what she wanted.

There was a feeling of warmth, love, and family throughout the story with Maguire’s brothers and sister popping up to lend a hand, some friendly advice, or some comedic relief. I loved seeing the O’Connor family together, it was clear that they were super close and that they loved each other even as they teased one another mercilessly sometimes. That's the biggest appeal to me, the good solid family ties these characters have. They're bonded through love and not obligation.

Click It or Skip It? Click It. I love Katie Reus and these novellas are not only about finding love but about loving your family no matter how bad they tease you.

It's a good book. Sam and Maguire. It's a second chance story, Sam broke off their relationship and it seems when they meet unexpectedly that they had cross wires.
I am a big fan of Katie Reus, I enjoy her writing, good story and development of characters.
One of the things I liked is they both feel they haven't got over each other and they didn't sleep around in their time apart. To me that shows they did really care about each other and hadn't moved on.
It is part of a series and other characters pop up or are referred to in this book so it's good to read them all and in order but not essential.

A fun, fast paced story by a good author. I always look forward to what comes next. I posted a review on Goodreads.

I adore Katie Reus' O'Connor Family series! She's created a family that impossible not fall in love with! In the third installment, we get to follow Maguire and Samantha.

When Maguire found Sam, they burned hot, then she simply vanished. Walked away without a backward glance, and left Maguire empty. After getting out of the service, Maguire struggled with the transition, so he buried himself in work. While looking for a house, his mom finds him a new realtor, Sam. He's shocked to his core when Sam stands in front of him, but he's not about to let this chance slip away.

Sam had a crush on Maguire, so when they had their fling, she didn't have the self confidence to trust what her hear was telling her. Now, she's grown up and has life experience that tells her what they had wasn't just a flash in the pan.

So what happens when you take a close knit clan, with a matriarch infamous for her betting pools, and trouble that follows Sam across the country? You have to read It's Me Again, Baby to find out, but you won't regret it!

I'm in love with this series. I adore over protective, possessive Alpha's who are not jerks and this author never fails me. Each book in the series are on the shorter side, but I never feel like it's not enough. Each book is set in the small town of Holly and since we see all the same characters, it's like an ongoing story and yet you can easily read each book as a standalone.

This one is a second chance romance. Not my favorite trope because I don't like it when couples walk away from each other, but turns out the split for these two was a huge misunderstanding. The author doesn't take long revealing said misunderstanding and has these two making up for lost time.

There were hints to the next couple in the book and I can't wait! ARC provided by Netgalley.

It’s Me Again, Baby is the third novella in the O’Connor family series. Another exciting, sweet and sexy read!
I loved Maguire and Sam’s story just as much as the previous ones in this series but Maguire is definitely my favorite O’Connor so far!
I thoroughly enjoyed this short but fun novella and can’t wait for the next story from Holly, NC where it’s Christmas all year long.

This was a sweet second chance romance for Maguire and Samantha , they had dated before but due to an unfortunate misunderstanding Samantha ended things and moved away only to return help her mother after the death of her father. Maguire is house hunting and his mother decides he needs a new realtor only to find when he gets to the property that Samantha is the one his mother picked, things progressed very quickly from there .
Maguire is all alpha which I love and Samantha is very sweet they were both very likeable characters .
Samantha has a stalker which Is dealt with easily I think this part could have been a little more focused on to add a bit more action to the story but other than that I really enjoyed the book

I received a free copy of this book from NetGallery and I purchased a copy because I LOVED it.

I just LOVED Maguire and yeah Samantha. LOL!! They made a great couple. I could really see the story come to life. The story wasn't cluttered with overly descriptive words. It contains duel POV. The characters and the plot were well developed. I have to go and read the other books in the series which I purchased as well. This author is new to me but could quickly become an old favorite.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to read a wonderful romance.

It's Me Again, Baby by Katie Reus

A second chance couple. They were split by a malicious female years ago and the hurt carried to current day. As they first meet again and realize their anger at each other was all a lie, forgiveness is immediate and the relationship begins anew.

Lots of heart strings in this novella, both from the enamored couple and the interfering family.
Lots of graphic sex too but I would not call it erotic.
This is the third in the series and while it does stand alone, things such as the small town hair styling/betting parlor are richer if the prior books were read. I feel this novella skipped over some of those minor cute details. The first two really made me want to visit.
I liked that this couple let go of the hurt immediately and didn't hang on to issues from the past. Not a lot of drama which was nice.

In the end, an enchanting and steamy love story of novella length.

I received a copy via NetGalley but purchased a copy as well.

This is book 3 in the series, Maguire and Samantha's story. It can be read as a standalone. It's a short read that is romantic suspense and second chance romance. I read the book fairly fast. This book just gives all the feels. Maguire and Samantha are such a cute couple.

I'm loving this O'Connor series! These quick, fun, hot novellas are packed with the good stuff romances are know for. Maguire was a wonderful, take charge guy who never expected to see Sam again, but realized after clearing up the past issues, that he never stopped wishing that things had worked out. This second chance novella was sweet, sexy, and perfect with a little intrigue thrown in!

This book was fantastic. It shows that the older you get the the better of a person you are and love may come too soon where it its not the right time but if it is meant to happen it will when the time is right.

I prefer the Deadly Ops and Red Stone Security series by Ms. Reus, but considering this is the first book I've read of the O'Connor Family series, I found it was an enjoyable read where the pages flew by quickly. Not only because it was a novella, but because this story is a second chance romance and the characters were interesting due to their past history and what caused Samantha to break things off with Maguire. The way this story started had me sympathizing with the main characters, as neither are expecting to see the other when they do. It's a tad awkward at first, and it's understandable why Maguire acts the way he does towards her at the start. How could Samantha have thought he would ever be capable of what another woman told her when it was palpable that his feelings ran strong in the past?

As for the dialogue, it flowed really well and made it hard not to like Maguire from the start. He's the kind of man that when he wants something, he isn't afraid to go after it, and what he wants is Samantha. I also liked the tight bond he has with his family, and how he and his sister tease each other. Every single one of his family are nosy when it comes to his growing relationship with the heroine, and I loved the reason why once I read it. Who would win? While the heroine, she's been through a lot and moving home to be closer to her mom was the best option for her. I also liked that she wasn't afraid to admit how insecure she was during their past relationship. That definitely took courage, and was understandable because of their age difference. An age difference that was probably a big deal back when they were together, but not so much now. Samantha is no longer the naïve, insecure girl she used to be. However, what I liked most about the heroine was that she wasn't going to back down on making her own decisions once it's revealed she has a stalker. She had a job to do; a job she's very successful at and nothing or no-one is going to keep her away from doing it.

Overall, Ms. Reus has penned a really good read where the chemistry and sex scenes were sizzling and illustrated these two couldn't get enough of each other. Besides, they have a few years to make up for. The way this story ended felt a little anticlimactic because of what happens with Samantha's stalker, yet I'm glad these two achieved their happy ever after. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely with the surprise Maguire has for the heroine. I would recommend It's Me Again, Baby by Katie Reus; if you enjoy the second chance romance trope or books by authors Jennifer Ryan, Melissa Foster, Bella Andre or Nora Roberts.
