I love the author. This book was sexy and funny. Tao and Riley are a great couple. The plot was a letdown but the book was good.

I love this author and I usually find her characters to be really compelling and interesting. However, in this book the characters were just ok and I wasn't massively blown away by the plot either. Honestly, this book was quite a bit let down. That being said, I still love the way author writes and I'm looking forward to whatever books she releases in the future.

Loved it! This was a little more fast paced then other books. But I loved it none the less. I love this series and want to read more of them!

This was absolutely safe with no cheating!

Suzanne Wright is one of my favorite paranormal authors, and I’ve enjoyed the heck out of the Phoenix Pack series. When the opportunity arose to review Fierce Obsessions, I shouted gimme! I devoured this book in one afternoon. I was stuck at home waiting for a delivery, but I’m certain I would have found another ‘excuse’ to be stuck at home had that not been the case because this book was just as good as the previous ones in the series.

First off, I liked how the story began. We dove right in. Unfortunately, that means that those of you who haven’t been following the series may be a little lost. My response to that is – go read the other books! Trust me, you won’t regret it.

I wasn’t sure what to think of Riley in the previous novels, but I really liked her here. She was one tough broad but damaged and realistic. I think we’d be great friends. We haven’t really gotten much about Tao before either except that he’s a dominant male who doesn’t talk much and says what he thinks. Turns out that’s a major turn on. Yep, Tao was hot. H.O.T. Hot.

I love how these stories are not only love stories but suspense and mystery as well. Trying to unravel who was after Riley – or were they after the flock? or maybe the pack? – kept me flipping through pages as fast as I could. The story was a bit convoluted. Teenage drama and female fights aren’t really my thing, but it was realistic, interesting to read, and kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page.

If you love shifter novels, you need to read this one.

Ok so I'll totally admit to being absolutely biased where this author concerns. She's one of a few authors I love whom could right the alphabet and I'd read&love it.

I'll start with the only thing that I wished it had.
From the blurb I had in my head that there would be more friction between Tao and Riley before they gave into the sexual tension. However the books opens up with them in bed together and even though there is a little miscommunication they basically are together from the get go. Not a negative just not what I expected.

Tao was everything I expected him to be. Surly brooding coming off a little arrogant he's one of them characters that pisses you off but you love him for it. I enjoyed seeing the dominant surly side to him with Riley. He's not one for taking shit or living up to others expectations, kinda living for him and not caring who likes it he makes no effort to hide his dislike of strangers or most people in general with the exception of his pack. I like the no bullshit stamp he had practically written on his forehead. I loved how he treated Riley, set her straight... kinda firm but fair with her and oh so sweet.

Riley ... gosh I loved her. Her antics had me cracking up. Her life mission was to wind people up she kinda reminded me a little of Roni with her random fact sprouting and nonchalant attitude towards dickheads. I loved her constant wind up attitude towards Tao and how she kept pinching his things and stashing them away in raven form. She's my favourite type of heroine, strong and feisty not afraid to stand up for herself or what she believes. She's been through some shit in life and she'd built a wall to protect herself but you can't help but love her for it.

The storyline is seamless written as per. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is palpable off the charts hot!. The side characters help make these books as brilliant as they are. There is a few surprises along the way but as per this author has filled the story with lots of sarcastic humour and Witt. Hella lost of steamy sex scenes and some pretty epic banter!. The storyline is fantastic but the characters make these stories for me and this book is no different to the rest.

I love that in all Suzanne's stories you get to hear from previous characters. I love the Phoenix & Mercury pack, the dynamics of the pack are nothing short of brilliant and the shit they get up to forever amuses me. I cannot wait for Dominic's story! He has me seriously curious, I know them cheesy lines are a front for something dangerous that's lurking. I can't wait to see who tames that beast.

Brilliant as always.

I kindly received this ARC from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've always wanted to read a bird shifter story.

Hot.

How can she be blamed for a shooter? Idiots.

Wow, he's good. He should be a psychologist.

Sex as an insomnia cure.

The guest cabin is actually nicer than a hotel.

I don't know if having to manhandle her out of a funk is a good thing.

She considers these people family? Yeah, if family eats their young.

I believe that superstition about money,

I hate the mall.

How does Makenna know what grunt man is saying?

Get a life, "Gretchen".

The kids are cute.

Good call pitting Greta and Avery against each other.

Maybe they should have assigned a kid to one adult, but Dexter still might have been taken.

Crazy. I want to feel sorry for the woman, but she messed with children.

It's kill or be killed.

Dominic's lines are funny, I have to admit.

Let me just say that I expected greatness and awesomeness and I am happy to say that it went beyond that. Riley is so awesome. After everything she went through with her parents and Wade one would suspect that she would be the next Wade. She just became my role model and I am just in awe of her. She is soo strong but very attentive and motherly, and hilarious. If I ever have a kid, boy or girl, their name is Riley. Now Tao was no slouch either. He is so dominate, fierce, protective, and so masculine. Yummy. I want a Tao so bad. I first didn't like Tao but he made up for that in Jamie and Dante story when he called Dante to tell him Jamie was leaving. In this story he just became my ultimate fantasy. He's an asshole but that's him and I'm glad he owns it and unapologetic about it. Riley and Tao was awesome and reached number 2 In my favorite book couple (Dante and Jamie being number one). I love little miss cute but vicious Suvannah who kind of remind me of a baby groot . And Dexter who is so adorable also. I also loved homage involved all The others from The previous books because even though The book isn't about them, they are still awesome. The only thing I didn't like was what Greta did I mean everyone forgot about that even I, and for her to bring it up to hurt Riley was awful. I honestly had to stop myself from crying for Riley. Other than that I have no complaints. Even the climax and mystery was good. I had to stop myself from skipping ahead to figure it out because there we soooooo many suspects. This book really blew my mind. Suzanne Wright you truly are brilliant and I am honered to have read this book. It is now on my top 10 favorite books and I can't wait to buy it on kindle and get the hardcover. Thank you so so so much. If I could I would give you the biggest bouquet of roses. You deserve no less.

Full review to be published online in early June.

FIERCE OBSESSION is the latest entry in Suzanne Wright's highly entertaining Phoenix/Mercury Pack series. These books are so in-depth and complex with inner woven stories and so full of action that the reader can't help but want to read and reread the books. This book was no exception to the rule.

Tao has been around since the beginning; and has always been a bit of a mystery. Always there, lurking about but rarely speaking. He observes everyone, is extremely protective of his pack, and doesn't trust easily. I love those things about him. While the outspoken jokesters are always fun the broody ones are always the best. Riley was an interesting character. She seemed almost aloof at times, letting things people say and do slide off her back. She's fiercely protective of those she considers hers and loves with all of her heart.

FIERCE OBSESSION is a fast read; but with a lot of heavy content, and twists and turns that keeps the reader on their toes. It is so enjoyable how much of the rest of the pack we get. Their stories are still relevant without overshadowing Tao and Riley's story. FIERCE OBSESSION is a great read; and am looking forward to more from Suzanne Wright and this series.

I wasn't waiting for this story like I did for the other's stories. Tao hasn't been my favorite since the very first book, Feral Sins, and the things he did with the alphas. Since then, his being the bodyguard to Kye and his actions since, he has started to grow on me a little more. The sex scenes between these two were hot. Their relationship has much sniping and walls, to get a reaction from drama, and mates getting their happy ending. This was an addictive read. I love losing myself for a little while in this world. I fell for Tao while reading his story. These two were perfect for on another. I loved how Riley was with the kids and Tao. I enjoyed this book. I look forward to more stories form this world.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

As many know, I don't read a lot of MF books anymore, since I am very picky about them. I will always read a book written by Suzanne Wright though, because she has always been one of of my favorite MF authors. I have read almost all her books and I will continue to do so in the future. What can I say...I am a huge fan !!!

I have known Tao, since he was introduced in book 1 of the Phoenix series. I have always wanted to know more about the Head Enforcer of the Phoenix pack.

Riley, a raven shifter, has only recently (previous book) moved to the Phoenix pack. She was taken in by the pack, because she came with two young shifter children, who were given sactuary by the pack.

These didn't start off on the right foot. Tao strongly distrusts strangers, especially lone shifters and he didn't want Riley anywhere near his pack. That doesn't mean he didn't think she was hot though.

After Riley has spend some time with the pack, Tao slowly starts to trust her and even like her....he was already very attracted to her, so now...he just needs to make a move...which is exactly what he does.

Riley loves nothing more then antagonizing Tao. It brings her and her raven much pleasure. She can't deny being very attracted to the man though...So once the ice is broken and Tao suggests they take things a bit further, Riley figures...why the hell not. It's not like it's anything serious.......

I really liked Riley. It is always very hard for me to like a heroine, which is why I am such a big fan of this series and the other ones written by this author. She writes about very strong females, who don't take shit from anyone. Riley was funny and kickass.

"You better hope you are never on fire, Tao, because I'm more likely to relax and pull out some marshmallows than to help you."

Everyone who has read Suzanne Wright's books, knows that they are extremely HOT. This one was no exception. I was, as usual, blushing my way through this one.

There is a whole background story going on, about Riley's former flock but I don't want to spoiler the whole book. It's best to read it for yourself. These books can be read as stand alone's, though you wouldn't know all the sidecharacters (and there are plenty), so I would advice reading the the whole series. You won't be sorry ;)

I myself hope there will be plenty more books in this series and all the others. No one does shifters, vampires and demons like Suzanne Wright does ;)

Oh my god this was so freaking good! I was expecting to enjoy this but honestly this surpassed my expectations and I'm so indescribably happy.

Riley has been staying with The Phoenix Pack since the last book and while she's been enjoying her stay, she hasn't been getting along with one person: Tao. That is until she learns that Tao has been acting like an ass not because he hates her but because that's just his natural personality. He's a very straight up, no bullshit kind of guy and it's actually something that Riley really learns to appreciate. However, no matter how attracted she is to him, she's not really interested in letting Tao get passed her defenses and get to know her.

Tao, of course, wants to know every part of Riley and works overtime to knock down her walls.

I've been reading this series since the very beginning and I've always loved each and every one of the characters but Tao and Riley are now high up on my list of favorites. There was something about their chemistry that was just so alive throughout the entire book. I could feel it literally coming off the pages. It was one of those times where I wholeheartedly believed in their chemistry and love for each other; they are the perfect mates for each other. You know when you're reading a really good book and you're heart kind of squeezes and you get this giddy happiness because you love the characters and their romance so much and it makes you want to squeal with happiness? That's how I felt reading this book. It just worked for me on every level.

I loved learning more about Riley's old raven pack and it honestly left me very curious about them. I loved Lucy (Riley's bestie) and I loved that she had a Native American background; honestly it just makes me happy to see diversity in romance novels. I'd love to learn more about the pack, and I'd love to see Lucy again; perhaps she can end up with one of the males from the Phoenix Pack?

And speaking on the Phoenix Pack, it was so great seeing the gang again! I love how we got to see them as secondary characters and catch up but it didn't overwhelm the story or feel like it took away from Tao and Riley's story. It was just enough to remind me of how much I love these characters and how great of a series Suzanne Wright has written overall. She's written so many amazing characters and they shine through no matter how small screen time they get in the book.

Overall this book is full of steamy romance, action, suspense and even a little mystery that leaves you on your toes and eagerly reading on to find out more. No one writes werewolf romance like Suzanne Wright and I cannot recommend her books enough.

Fierce Obsessions follows Tao, the enforcer of the Phoenix Pack, and Riley, whose new to this group. For Tao it's hard for him to trust the newcomer, yet he can't deny the attraction and pull he feels towards Riley. Eventually the sexual tension becomes too much for either to deny and they decide to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement - but once Riley starts opening up Tao realizes he may never want to let her go.

The Phoenix Pack series is one of my all time favorites so of course I jumped on the chance to read this one. I loved getting more of the insane attraction that was happening between Tao and Riley and it had me rooting for them this entire read. I just loved both of these characters and they are definitely one of my favorite couples of this series. Tao was so growly and tough, but he cared for those in his Pack very much and I really liked seeing that, especially when he took Riley under his care too.

One of the best things about Suzanne Wright's books is that she knows how to give us the perfect amount of side characters. I hate when I read a series that has way too much going on with other characters and it ends up taking my focus away from the MC's. But with SW that never happens. We still get to see past/secondary characters but they never take over the story and I love that.

Bottom line, this is a great addition to the rest of the series and it has me already begging for more. This is probably one of my most re-read series and this book will be no different, I'm already itching to read it again!

We eventually have Tao's book which was well worth the wait. Beautifully written, each character profile is individual which ensures that each book in the series is not similar to the rest which shows how good a writer Suzanne is. The passion between Riley and Tao was intense, sizzling and endearing all rolled into one. The back story from Riley's flock was full of twists and turns, and quite a serious topic for a background story. It enthralled me from the get go. This pack is getting better and better but we only have two enforcers left!! I'm nowhere near to be leaving Phoenix territory and hopefully neither is Suzanne. I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

I am so obsessed with this series I seriously don't know what I'll do when it ends. Loved Tao and Riley. I wasn't sure how much I was gonna like Tao because let's be honest, he's an ass to outsiders and he was an ass to Riley when they first met. But once he's in, he's all-in. I also loved that we got to see a different species of shifters and go to the raven's flock in Arizona. Really interesting plot (as always) and enough Greta-hate to keep me entertained. Also Savannah and Dexter!! I loved reading about them and I can't wait for Trick and Dominic's books.
