Stacey Kennedy pens a strong, sexy read, and for that reason I gave Heartbreaker 4 stars. It is not, however, my favorite in her catalog. The book seemed a little rushed to me, perhaps a bit short. It does seem a bit out of balance because of the set up for the series, I believe.The story was good, the passion factor high, the kink was there, what was missing for me was the characters felt a little flat, perhaps because I needed more time with them.

Sexy doesn't even cover how hot this book is!! Joss and Maddix are absolutely perfect for each other. They do work together but they manager to deal with that and move it forward without it being icky. The writing is out of this world, like all of Stacey Kennedy's other books. I absolutely love the stories that she tells and this is right there at the top of the list now. Even with all the hot, steaminess this book never loses what's at the heart and that is a love story. This is truly a one night stand turned into reality. I really like that it took a year for it to happen, that way it just seems more realistic. I can't wait to read more of this series.

This was a nice quick read full of fun! I loved the chemistry between the couple and how their story developed. I am glad that things worked out for them. I can't wait for the next story in the series.

Unlike so many characters out there, Maddox was dominant in bed but for her pleasure and not for her pain. After the epilogue I wouldn’t mind getting another book and seeing how they juggle all the new elements in their lives.

This book was is so great! It is fun and sexy as hell. It also has so many sweet moments and just pulls at my heart strings. Maddox Hunt is my new Book Boyfriend I love him. Maddox is an strong independent Hot as Sin cop. He Likes sex he has sex all the time with lots of women. He doesn't do relationships he doesn't do second times. That all changes when his one-night stand from one year ago comes back. Joss is so different than everyone else she makes him want her, she makes him want more and it scares him but he the cant let her go.

She still can't help but to see him for more than her shows everyone and she cant help but fall for him.

The Epilogue is so full of all the feels this book is full of all the feels you need to give it a read.

Stacey Kennedy has done it again! She gave us a book like no other...a book that consumed me and left me wanting more with each passing page. The storyline caught my eye from the very beginning; it was creative and well executed. Kennedy also gave us a good balance of kink and passion.

The characters were likable and relatable. Joss is such a strong female lead. She has her head on straight and she's learned from her past mistakes. Maddox is a crazy hot alpha that I couldn't keep my hands *I mean eyes* off of! He's dominant in the bedroom as well as in his profession, but we also see a softer, more relatable side to him with his friend Grey. Both characters were enjoyable to read.

Everything Stacey writes is pure gold. I've been a lover of her books from the very beginning and let me tell ya'll...this one did not disappoint!

I like everything Stacey Kennedy writes and I wasn't disappointed with HEARTBREAKER, I enjoyed every minute of this book. It is a wickedly erotic story with characters that are realistic and memorable.

A year later they are thrown together when Joss starts working as a rookie for the police force and she learns Maddox is her boss. Maddox is Joss’s lieutenant and she knows she has to forget her wild night with him, even if it wàs one of the most amazing nights of her of her life. Maddox also finds he can't stop thinking about Joss and everything about her turns him on. They try to ignore the sexual tension they feel whenever they are near each other.

I liked Maddox. He is bold, arrogant and likes to talk dirty. Maddox loves when a strong woman lets him dominate her. Joss is strong and independent and she enjoys giving Maddox complete control. She has never been with anyone like him. He makes her feel things she never felt before. He takes her on sexual adventures she has never dreamed of and she can't help herself, she keeps coming back for more. Can Joss keep her heart safe from this heartbreaker. I enjoyed this incredibly hot, engaging story. The characters are realistic and have explosive chemistry.

I love pretty much everything that Stacey Kennedy writes, and this is no exception. Hot, kinky, with an edge and drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat. These two together were amazing, and I'm looking for more in this series RIGHT. NOW.

I loved Maddox and Joss's story. But I want to know how Maddox planned to keep their relationship just sex when he turned it into a Ds relationship. They don't label it as that, but clearly it is. Emotions are involved, strong emotions for both of them. The story pretty much revolved around them with their co-workers, friends and family thrown in every once in awhile. I like that, we get a more in-depth view that way.

This is only my second book by the author and well I liked the other book better. Not that this is not well written, it is, it just was not what I expected. This book is very BDSM and very erotic. In fact I would call it more erotica than romance.

Most of the book was erotica and I like good sex scenes just like everyone else but I felt they wrote the book rather than it spiced up the story. At about 70% into the book we finally get a bit more story than se and thats when I started liking the story. I felt that it tied everything up a little too easy from that point on considering all the obstacles.

This is primarily a forbudden relationship type of story where Joss has a sexual relationship with her boss at the police force. It also is about the guy who says no to love or feelings and how Joss gets him to care.

The story starts 1 year before where Joss meets hottie Maddox in a bar. They have a great one night and go their separate ways until 1 year later, she is now a cop and Maddox is her lietenant. But they still have heated glances and so they decide on one more night. Then Maddox can't resist and so they have a just sex relationship. That is the first 70% of the book.

Then Joss dumps Maddox and the rest of the book is them both figuring out what they want and how to achieve that. I skimmed the sex scenes as there were so man, but I enjoyed the story when I got to it. I just would have enjoyed more story than we got.

Times are not perfect...but people are now aware of how unwanted advances and power over another can impact careers....and that is an excellent thing. It also touches on a bit more, though. Our guy has issues with putting himself out there for fear of being hurt...abandonment stuff from a Mom who left when he was young. He holds everything close and doesn't let others in.

She is a woman who is wanting more... more for herself and is tired of always pleasing everyone else first. This thing with him is her taking pleasure for the first time... her thinking of only what she will receive... amazing new, daring sex...and she thinks she can handle this Friends with benefits thing...

But of course it gets complicated....

Stacey Kennedy knows how to write smokin' hot scenes...and what I liked the most was our gal knew what she was capable of emotionally and was strong about it when it mattered.

This was a Sexy Times book with a little more to it then just that...Enjoy.
