I really enjoyed Sorcha and Alan's story! Sorcha is running for her life, but at the same time she is able to enjoy things that were denied her growing up. When she meets Alan, she is drawn to him, but doesn't fully understand her feelings. Alan is just following the orders of his laid, but doesn't necessarily again with all that he is tasked to do, which makes for some interesting twists and turns to the story.

This was a great addition to the Highland Feuding series and I'm excited to see what Brisbin has in store for us next!

Like all Harlequin titles, feels like pulling on a comfy old pair of sweats - you wouldn't want to wear them outside of the house, but you love them anyways.

Claiming His Highland Bride by Terri Brisbin. #4 in her amazing "A Highland Feuding" series, but can be read as a stand alone.

Sorcha MacMillan and Alan Cameron are the stars of this enjoyable tale of love, secrets, lies, and romance.
Sorcha, fakes her death to keep from marrying a man like her father, abusive and cruel, after her mother's death, with her blessing. Alan is the best tracker in the Highlands, he's been sent by his uncle and Laird of his clan, Gilbert, who is also Sorcha's fiance. What a tangled web! When the secrets and deceit start to be revealed, will Alan and Sorcha's blossoming love, survive or turn to betrayal and loss?

Well written with an enjoyable cast of characters and a multi faceted plot. You can't help but fall in love with Sorcha and Alan. Their story is powerful and compelling.
Ms. Brisbin has a wonderful way of creating stories that tug at your heart strings and keeps you glued to the pages, as you follow the characters on their path to finding a HEA. Another must read by one of my favorite Medieval Romance authors.
I received a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Unfortunately things don't go as planned as her elder servant dies and Sorcha must journey on her own. She goes to cousins Clara’s at Laird Brodie and Arabella’s Mackintosh clan. They make up a name and background story. Only her cousin Clara knows the truth even her husband Jamie know's only a small part of this story. Sorcha says she's a widow named Saraid MacPherson.

Alan Cameron, he’s the nephew of Laird Gilbert, the current Cameron laird. His Uncle lost two wives previously, under very suspicious circumstances. He is also suspected of planning to ruin some good and honorable clans just for his own wealth and selfish reasons. Unlike Gilbert's elder brother who really should be Laird, yet for reasons unknown to Alan it goes to the younger cruel son Gilbert. It really is Alan's father who should be Laird. Alan starts to putting the pieces together he realizes he's in love with a woman he declared dead. He is torn what he should do but he would never let her be under his Uncle’s selfish lethal shenanigans! Sorcha feels the convent is her only answer to protect Alan and The Mackintosh clan. It must be done so Alan can't follow. As she know he will have no choice but confess all to his Uncle or will he will die.

Sorcha knows what a tracker must do plus the nephew of her betrothed. She feels to protect all she must leave. Just as Alan puts the puzzle of Saraid MacPherson together.

Terri Brisbin is what I call one of the Queen’s of Scottish historical romance! As she has the rare gift of drawing the readers in and never letting go. I am thrilled to pieces she found a story for Alan as he has been in previous books in “A Highland Feuding” series.

One of my favorite things about Terri Brisbin novels, is she writes about real places in Scotland. Most likely inspired from her many visits to the mother country “Alba” Scotland.

This book is beautifully written with breath taking settings! Plus non stop action and adventure, a beautiful love story that will melt your heart. In addition to the brilliant plotting - was phenomenal characters I have grown to love! It is definitely a story you don’t want to miss! I can’t recommend it enough!

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher. I voluntarily agreed to do a fair review and blog through netgalley. All thoughts, ideas and words are my own.

This is the fourth book in A Highland Feuding Series from Terri Brisbin. Even though I hadn't read the previous books in the series this lovely story pulled me in from the very first chapter.

Sorcha MacMillan was a brave lass who faked her death and ran away from an arranged marriage. She basically had to save herself at first. Then she caught the attention of Alan Cameron. It was mostly a case of love at first sight until Sorcha realized that Alan's uncle was the awful man that she was supposed to marry. They couldn't stop being drawn to each other despite the many secrets and obstacles that lay between them.

This was a lovely highland romance. I enjoyed everything from strong plot to the richness of the characters and the intrigue surrounding the feud. There was a lot of angst and passion between Sorcha and Alan, and a few twists as well. It certainly kept me interested all the way through to the end.

Safe in her Highlander's arms!

After discovering her role in her father's plot to destroy another clan, Sorcha MacMillan risks her life to go into hiding. Her safety relies on her disguise, but she is drawn to a man who could see through her...

Unknown to Sorcha, Alan Cameron has been sent to track her down. He's attracted to the woman in disguise. Even after learning her true identity, he can't overcome his instinct to protect her. No matter the danger, he will keep Sorcha safe...and claim her as his bride!

Sorcha has been told by her father, a clan chieftan, that she must wed but her soon-to-be fiancé is a horrible man. The fiancé and her father are planning on ruining another clan by joining theirs and Sorcha wants no part of it. Her mother has been able to protect Sorcha for years from her father’s machinations but she’s now dying. The mother knows that Sorcha must escape her fate and tries to help her as best she can by giving her baubles and treasures little by little. When her mother dies and the time comes for Sorcha and her father to travel to meet the fiancé Sorcha fakes her own death (with help from a friend of her mothers) and runs away. She plans to run to Skye to become a nun but that plan is interrupted when her mother’s friend dies. Sorcha is resourceful so she heads to her mother’s people who hide her among the clan.

Alan Cameron is a pawn in his uncle’s games. His uncle is the man that Sorcha was supposed to marry. When she disappears his uncle, Gilbert, calls him to find her as he’s the best tracker around. He can’t find her but it looks like she died. He’s not positive that was what happened but goes with it anyway.

Alan meets Sorcha, who goes by Saraid, and is instantly attracted to her which is good as she is instantly attracted to him as well. He’s told that she will join a convent but he’s positive he can change her mind. Sorcha is adamant that she cannot change her mind but love has a funny way of changing people’s minds about the future.

This was a sweet story that had a few twists that I enjoyed. I really liked Sorcha’s character and was surprised and pleased with her adamancy that she was going to join the convent. She knew if Gilbert Cameron or her father found that she was alive there would be hell to pay. I was thrilled she stood her ground for as long as she did but we all know she eventually caved. :) Her actions at the end of the book were quite admirable and I loved the strength she showed.

Alan was a great character as well. I was surprised that it took him as long as it did to figure out that Saraid was Sorcha. They said he was a great tracker so why the heck couldn’t he figure it out? Lol Oh well, it was a better story this way. ;)

Overall it was a good story and one I’d recommend if you’d like a quick historical book to read.

Terri Brisbin is my favourite "guilty pleasure" author. She uses all the tropes that hook readers, and uses a time and place that allows for "larger than life" stories.

However, this particular heroine was a bit too "damsel in distress" for me; she was constantly tripping and stumbling, crying, getting lost.

A solid escapism read, but not the best in the series.
