This was a good book. Books with children are almost always good.

Morgan has had custody of his son for a short time, A son he didn't even know existed. Tabitha is only home to take care of her father's debt. Morgan and Tabitha used to be engaged. Nathan wants Tabitha to train his late mother's horse. Does it happen? Read the book to find out.

this was a very enjoyable book. I highly recommend it.

Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.

For anyone who enjoys second chance stories and they don't mind the Hero moving on with another woman and having a kid with her, then you will most likely enjoy this read. For me, that is a big turnoff in my fictional romances as I don't like when my fictional main characters move on with other people and have kids with anyone but the person who is suppose to be their soulmate. That's just my personal preference though which is why I couldn't get into this story at all...

This is book two in the Cowboys of Cedar Ridge series. It is a stand alone book, however book one does take place first and is a great read as well. Book one is Courting the Cowboy, you do not have to read it to follow this book but they are both great reads and I look forward to to reading more from this series.
Morgan Walsh, a handsome cowboy, trying to connect with his son and start a new job. Tabitha Rennie, is just trying to get her life back on track. When Morgan needs her help will their past repeat or is there more to it than they realize.
I enjoyed the characters in this novel and the family, love, forgiveness and romance in this contemporary, christian romance.

I really liked this story of two people getting a second chance to correct the mistakes of their youth and be together.

Tabitha Rennie lived the life of a nomad growing up. Her father moved their family whenever the whim struck. Consequently, school was doubly hard already. When they landed in Cedar Creek, she already had coping skills in place. When she first met Morgan Walsh, his teasing hurt her feelings. When she realized he teased because he liked her, everything changed. What happens, though, when their relationship runs up against parental disapproval?

Morgan never understood why Tabitha quit school before graduation, started working, then left him. All set to propose, her emphatic break up speech left him doubting everything he thought he knew. Now she's back. Can he trust the feelings he still seems to have for her? Should he even attempt a relationship when he already has a son who barely acknowledges his existence?
Carolyn Aarsen is a go-to author for me. Her books never fail to pull me in and keep me engaged. Definitely recommend!

Tabitha it working to the best of her ability to work off her fathers debts then when its over her ties to this town will be over and she can leave. Unfortunately that means dealing with Morgan Walsh an ex-fiance of hers and his son when they are supposed to be working at a vet. Little did they expect to see each other more often causing old feelings to rise.

If your a fan of second chances then you'll love this book, I am which it why I picked up this book. I loved a good sweet romance. I loved how Loyal Tabitha was working off her fathers debts even if she didn't need to, she could've left and leave her problems behind but she stuck found and fixed her brothers problems. I though it was interesting seeing how Morgan was with his son and how they worked out their problems after being seperate for some time. It was interesting seeing the son open up more and how Tabitha helped out the father son duo. Overall this was a pretty sweet romance and I really enjoyed it.

Morgan Walsh returns to his hometown so that he and his son, Nathan, can be close to family after the death of Nathan's mother. Morgan is a veterinarian and he will be partnering with the local vet.

Tabitha Rennie works as a veterinary assistant, she came to town to fix up her dad's place so she can sell it to pay off his debts. Tabitha and Morgan dated in high school, and things ended badly. But Tabitha is a good horse trainer, and Morgan inherited a horse named Stormy that he would like her to train.

Will coming back to their hometown give them a second chance at love?

Tabitha has been trying to make up for her father's mistakes her whole life, but even though he's gone his reputation still lives on. She is great with children and animals alike, and bond instantly with Nathan. I admired Tabitha for her resilience despite her past, she's hardworking and resourceful.

Morgan wants to build a good relationship with his son, and he really appreciates Tabitha's help, and he's not the only one who is getting used to having her around. Morgan encourages her to be herself and stop living in the shadow of her father's sins.

I love how this book brings Tabitha and Morgan together, working in close proximity to each other, working together . This is a enjoyable read, I really enjoyed seeing the couple from the last book, Morgan's brother Cord and his wife Ella, again in this book, along with their dad, Boyce. Great dialogue and character interaction. Definitely a great read!

A beautiful story about forgiveness, self-worth, and new chances in life and love.
I enjoy this author's way to tell the story, how she incorporates the character's faith in God into their daily lives and the decisions they make. From every turn in the plot, it comes clear what faith means to the protagonists, and how it shapes their lives and choices they make.
The characters are by no means perfect or without faults. The ones they take responsibility of, the ones given to them by others, or something they are born with. They stumble and even fall, but always keep going, and that I admired about them immensely.
Tabitha Rennie had faced many adversities during her relatively young life. Her father's sins were held against her, her disability hindered her education and career choices, her self-worth was low from being beaten down too many times, yet each time she got up and tried again.
Morgan Walsh had faced his own troubles in life. Finally getting the custody of his son, but only after his estranged wife died, he came home to be close to his family. He knew he would run into Tabitha, the girl that broke his young heart, but he was not prepared for her to be a part of his everyday life.
Morgan and Tabitha has a lot of issues, from the past as well from the present, that they had to work through. Some of their family issues were intertwined and holding them apart, but the past hurt and the still open questions, and wounds, were grinding their way as well.
I really enjoyed the story and I had difficulty putting it down until the end. I wanted to know what will happen, I wanted to know if and how Morgan and Tabitha solve their issues, I wanted to know how Morgan would react when some truths from the past were revealed, and how and what they would have to do to get that second chance to build something lasting between them. I was emotionally connected and invested in the outcome of the journey they were on.
A thought-provoking, intriguing, and uplifting story that not only was an enjoyment and entertained me but made me think and ponder the issues brought up, as well.
