Like all Harlequin titles, feels like pulling on a comfy old pair of sweats - you wouldn't want to wear them outside of the house, but you love them anyways.

This is short story. While I didn't particularly favor it. I did like the characters and liked the idea of hospital romance.

Tamara was thrown in for a look when she finds that her ex was taking advantage of her while she vulnerable leaving her publicly ruined. Shes on a mission to make something of herself out of the public eye and is working as a nurse. Things get complicated when she spends the night with Dr.Conor Maguire that leads with her being pregnant.

I come across a lot of books like this with a similar theme and this book pretty much fit the bill. It did have its minor differences but still enjoyable all the same. I thought it was interesting seeing the backgrounds for both characters and seeing why Tamara was guarded and why Dr.Conor wasn't looking for anything serious. Overall it was pretty good and I enjoyed it.

A sweet and realistic story about unexpected baby news after a one night stand between two coworkers.
I really enjoyed this story because of the different layers to it and the authentic feel to it.
The work at the emergency ward brought drama and tension to the tale. They were fighting the good fight to keep everyone alive, help the people they meet the best possible way, and to deal with the relations between the staff at the ward and the hospital in large. It was fascinating and obviously, the author knew what she was writing about.
Then there is the tension from the past. The health issues that sent Dr. Conor Maguire across the world to avoid the constant reminders of what he thinks he can not have in life. The nurse Tamara Washington has a past history that had her face plastered in all the tabloids, her dignity and honesty were questioned, and she would rather hide from the world, and just focus on her job.
But life does not always (rarely) go as we plan. The attraction Conor and Tamara have for each other draw them together, and the night had consequences.
Now pregnant with Conor's baby, Tamara and Conor has to go through the emotional jungle that the life changing news of the baby causes them. At the same time, Tamara's pictures end up in the tabloids again, this time with Conor. And Conor has an another episode with a health scare while being interviewed to move to Australia...
All this mayhem is something Conor and Tam have to deal with. And the conversations, the push and pull with their emotions, the angst that comes with all the changes they are facing, the burdens of their past, it's no wonder they are an emotional wreck. How they deal with all the havoc, how they manage with the chaos caused by the hurricane-force news they received, makes both of them look at their lives, look at themselves, grow and mature. And that development in their lives and in themselves is the story of Conor and Tam. It is realistic, there's no romantic pink glasses or magical solutions, but lots of work and compromising. It is hard, at times hurtful, but through all the mess they see each other. The feelings they have for each other grow, and they find love, peace, and home when they look into each other's eyes. This is one of those stories that makes me cheer 'love wins' at the end.
A compelling, engaging, and refreshingly realistic yet attractively romantic and sweet story of growing to be the best possible version of you with the love and support of your surprising soulmate.

I like pregnancy-type storylines and tend to lean towards them the most. Tamara & Connor were likable characters, but for me they didn't sizzle. They were at times one-dimensional and I had a hard time connecting. I still enjoyed it though and I highly recommend it you pick up.

Tamara has a difficult history behind her, but when a one night stand with her boss leaves her pregnant and with a school bus of children coming into her ER, it may not be the best time to tell him that he'll be a father. But then again, when is it the right time? Conor, on the other hand, has his own issues he's dealing with, or rather running from. Leaving his home, Ireland and going to Australia suddenly doesn't seem far enough, but he'll do his duty. Whatever that turns out to be.

I really liked Conor and Tamara. They're both really level headed but warm people. And when they realize that they're going to be forever bound together they quickly try to find a middle ground that they can work with. On the one hand I wasn't expecting him to pull back, but on the other hand, the story had no where to go but there. It still had me reading it at lightning speed, and considering it isn't that long to begin with, it seemed to be over as soon as it had begun.

A great short read!

This was a good story. It took the whole book for the main characters to get over their issues, but it had good flow. The ending was predictable but we'll worth it
