This was a great story with great characters. It flowed nicely without rushing the story. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more from this author! Read it and you won't regret the time spent.

Investigative reporter seeks mysterious recluse, previously ten editor in co founder of the paper she works for Tara Daniels knows the only chance she has to save her job is to find Eli. Missing for years the only clue Tara has is the list of random facts collected by her fellow colleague at the paper. However Eli is hidden for a reason and Tara isn't the only one looking for him.

Told in joint POV this book was enjoyable and fairly quick to read overall it was enjoyable although in places the pace seems to slow and almost drag. Ending on a cliffhanger was the only real downside to Finding Eli. I needed to know what happened after the DuhDuh duhhhhh moment that you always get with a Romantic suspense, would our dynamic duo escape the clutches of the others searching for Eli? 4 stars.

Finding Eli is a 10 star read. Couldn't stop reading until the very end. Can't wait to read more from Jake Irons.

I found this story to be too unbelievable. It was fast-paced to the point of being ridiculous -- and then ended on a cliffhanger.

Jake Iron's book Finding Eli is a phenomenal read. It's fast paced, funny, and hot as hell. I can not wait to see what is in store for Eli and Tara in the second book. What is Tara going to think about her friend Frankie??? It's been a while since I have screamed at my Kindle, but that is just what I did when I completed the last page. Well done, Jake!! I wish you much success with this book and future releases. Would recommend this book and also sorry for late review have been hospital and trying to play catch up but your book help get me through my stay so thanks 😊 Left review on Amazon.uk

Overall I enjoyed this book. Sexy romance & mystery in one book- what's not to like. I thought the writer did a really good job of creating interesting characters & the story itself was intriguing.

My issue was that halfway through the book Eli started calling Tara by her real name although she had given a false one. So a little more editing/proof reading needs to be done.

I will be reading the rest of the story because I can't stand cliffhangers- gotta know what happens.

I think Jake Irons will be an interesting author to watch for sure. Great job on his debut novel.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Great chemistry between the characters and the erotic scenes are very well written. Eli is a fun character and Tara is a bit sassy but also fun. Definitely a book you should read.

Finding Eli was literally "hot". I received an eArc in exchange for an honest review. I have to admit I am quite curious to know if the author is male or female because part of the fun with this one was guessing. I even had to double back and see if there were any hints. I did not want to assume male because sometimes females can have nicknames like Jessie for Jessica so Jake could be short for some female name also though if it is a male it is my first experience with sexual situations written this well, thoroughly.

Tara is about to be let go from her job at an online news site but she has an idea. She can take the clues her work buddy has provided to find Eli, the owner of the news site that wrote a wicked tell all book then disappeared. If Tara can find him and get a story that tells where he has been since he disappeared and hopefully why he disappeared it might save her job. Tara is desperate and uses the last of her funds to give it a shot. What she finds is not what she expects. Eli is as good looking as he appears in pictures but, she didn't expect the instant sexual awareness she felt when she met him, even after the way they met.

Both characters are very likable and it is always great when a reader can get a plot with their sexual scenes. I will admit to listening to this on my Kindle on the 1 hour commute home and looking around as if people could hear it and imaging that my face was some sort of crazy pink. Wow! It did not take over the book and sexual tension was appropriate in places so the reader could still see the mystery/bit of thriller that was developing. My only problem was not knowing what the heck happens. I have to wait for the next book. Review can also be seen at LadyTechie's Book Musings ladytechiesbookmusings.blogspot.com .

Super quick and easy read. Just the start of what could be a great story. I didn't realize it was a cliffhanger. I knew it was a short novella but didn't realize it would leave you hanging. I so want to know what happens next. I'm super impatient with my books and don't like waiting for the next book to be published.
Eli has moved off the grid and Tara is a reporter looking for her next story. So she searches him out. Realizes there's lots of chemistry between them and acts on it. Eli doesn't know that Tara is looking to write a story on him. Just thinks she a lost hiker caught in a snowstorm.
But Tara unknowingly put herself and Eli into major danger. And that is where it left off.
Can't wait for the complete story to be released.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

At first, I wasn't sure about the story, but then it picked up and I really enjoyed. Of course, I cannot wait for book 2 to come out. Hopefully, it won't be long before I can find out what happens between Eli and Tara!

Great beginning novella to what I assume will be a series or full book.

Tara needs to save her job and her one way to do that is to find Eli Murphy. He's the founder of the magazine where Tara works and has fallen off the face of the Earth. It's a mystery. But with determination, Tara finds him, but she's somewhat dishonest about her intentions and herself.

And the reasons for Eli hiding is something no one knows.....I really liked Eli! But when Tara's lies catch up with her, Eli kicks her to the curb......slight cliffhanger here!

Great 1st book for this author ... HOT HOT HOT!

Tara is about to loose her news reporting job ... cutbacks ... but if she can get a big story, they'll have to keep her ... right? And there is no bigger story at The Watcher (an online news website where Tara works) than finding Eli Murphy, The Watcher's founder, who mysteriously disappeared 3 years ago after selling it. Tara and her obsessed co-worker Frankie have gathered all the information on Eli that they can, so before Tara gets the boot, she goes on one last assignment ... find Eli! She makes her way to Colorado and after a couple of days going into every donut shop (because Eli loves his donuts) with his picture, she finally finds someone who recognizes him. After many mishaps, Tara finally finds Eli ... but she doesn't tell him who she is. They have an instant attraction for one another and well you can guess what happens ... and it's very HOT! But by the end of the book, you are left wanting more because only a couple of questions are answered and even more questions arise. I can't wait for the next book ... because there has to be one!

Finding Eli is sexy with a little mystery thrown in for good measure. Tara is a down on her luck journalist whose job is on the line if she doesn't find Eli, a former New York playboy who used to own the magazine she works at, The Watcher. If she can find him and write a story about him, she'll get to keep her job so she sets off to Colorado, where her friend, who is obsessed with him, has said she thinks he moved.

Tara is a smart, resourceful woman and she manages to find him using his love of doughnuts. She hurts her ankle during her search and when Eli happens upon her, he rescues her from the snowstorm she's found herself in, and takes her back to his house. That they end up having a couple steamy encounters isn't really a surprise, but what is a surprise is that Tara decides she can't write the story she needs to keep her job. Still, when Eli finds out who she really is, he's understandably pissed and takes her back to town.

The cliffhanger at the end wasn't expected, but it has me hooked. Now I definitely have to read the next installment so I can see what happens with Tara and Eli. Will we ever find out why Eli disappeared? Who is Michael? Will Eli be able to rescue Tara again? Will they both make it out alive? So many questions!!! I need the next installment asap.

Not really a novella. More like a serial in length and cliffhanger. Plot is very flimsy, and characters are pretty rediculous. Worst of all though is near the end when he uses her real name and makes several very lame jokes with it, and then goes back to using her fake name. Did no one beta this at all?
