I struggled to read Guardian Angel and after a few chapters I gave up. Sorry this book was not for me.

I had no idea that this book was part of a series when I picked it up. Knowing that now as I go to leave my review just makes me want to read them all, yesterday! There was something so dry and casual about this book, as if it is all just a simple part of a days work. Nobody seems to realize that beneath Agnes Carmichael's strict exterior is a woman on the verge.

The suspense came more from wondering just what this woman was going to do next, to protect and rule over her domain. Then the fact that it was difficult to disagree with her, hard to follow just how wrong her actions may be as we're told the story from her warped perspective and give an exclusive insight to just how deserved they could be.

Such a twisted tale, where murder can be as casual as a cup of tea. Loved it!

When I requested this book I didn't realise it was part of a series. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the earlier books first

This book was ok. I really had a difficult time with this one. Not sure I would recommend this.
