Taylor Kennedy is a forensic account with the DEA. She was also a foster child that no one knows about, and now her past is coming in contact with her present. Her childhood friend who actually saved her when they were younger is now torn with the people he is working for the cartel and still wanting to protect her. Now though his life is in danger for not taking hers and while he is dealing with his emotions, there is a hit squad now in town to take them both out. Logan Granger who is a member of Bravo fast team. Has figured out that there is something wrong. He is wanting to keep her safe while still letting her know that he has feelings for her. The story is fast paced and is good for all of the action and two different story lines that are going on. A good book with good characters. Take a chance with this book to see how the book ends.

Yay! I've found a new series for me. I cannot wait to go back and read book one as well as read the others in this series.
This book is emotional and gripping. It's sweet and loving. It has betrayal and loyalty all rolled into one fabulous book with amazing characters.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Talk about your past coming back to haunt you!
Taylor decides to defy her past and become a DEA agent determined to not let drugs effect others lives the way they impacted her childhood. She's not a field agent, instead she handles the data analysis portion of investigations.
When her former foster brother appears in a picture with a known drug lord her past immediately comes to the surface and threatens everything.
There's a great love story that blooms with Logan as well which adds to the story.
The ending was a little sudden for me but otherwise i loved the book!

Kaylea Cross is a Queen of romantic suspense!
This is a compelling story of opposite attraction. The two main characters are perfect together and I loved watching their story unfold. When you read this, you're going to get a solid story, intense situations, sizzling romance, and characters you want to know in real life. Five stars!

This is book 2 in the DEA FAST series and it features Taylor Kennedy and Logan Granger. It's a fast-paced, action-packed romance with plenty of sexy alpha men running around. Logan was an amazing man and I could read about him all day. Taylor turned out to be a huge surprise for me. And Dillon? There were moments when I thought his guilty conscience would make him do the right thing...or not. This author kept me on my toes as far as which way, good or bad, Dillon's character would go.
Awesome read! Great story line with fantastic characters. I can't wait to read more.

Taylor and Logan in "Fast Kill" is a great romantic suspense read! This is my first read by Kaylea Cross, and I wonder with all the books I read, how I missed them. A fast paced story full of murder, action and some hot sexy parts, it will keep you turning the pages. The plot lines were detailed and complete and keeps the reader invested, especially in Taylor's story and heartbreak. It was hard to imagine that Taylor could have such a childhood background with Dillon protecting her while growing up, and then face a grownup Dillon that would be willing to kill her. Logan is just the DEA FAST agent to keep her safe while falling in love. Taylor and Logan fight their way for the good guys to win and get their HEA. I look forward to reading more in this series and I recommend this one if you love romantic suspense. I would like to thank NetGalley and the author for gifting me "Fast Kill". My opinion is my own. This is mine 4.5 Stars!

Another great read by Kaylea Cross. Of course, I've never read a book by her that I didn't like so I expected no less. In fact, since she's one of my favorites, I probably expect more from her books.
Having said all that, I loved this book. A damaged, intelligent heroine who finds it hard to trust. A strong, patient Hero who proves he's worth trusting. This is an enjoyable read. You won't be disappointed.

Fast Kill is the story of 2 agents with the DEA who are about as opposite as they come. Taylor is quiet, introverted, and enjoys working with numbers in her cubicle. Logan is loud and flirtatious and wants to be in the heart of the action on an op. Despite their differences, Logan and Taylor find they are attracted to each other. Thankfully Logan isn't too shy to make the first move!
But, before they can have their first real date, Taylor gets a call from a man she used to know. A man who picked the wrong path in life and is into some dangerous stuff. Dillon is working with a drug cartel now. Taylor sees him on a surveillance video of a drug sting and doesn't identify him to her boss. She used to view Dillon as her 'knight in shining armor' and hopes that he isn't as involved as she fears.
Dillon is deeper than your average villain. He struggles with his personal connection Taylor; he genuinely did care for her when they were children. He also had promised her in the past he would "go straight" and get out of the drug game. Dillon is truly stuck in a bad place now: either follow orders from the cartel or protect Taylor. His love for Taylor might be strong, but his fear of the cartel is stronger.
One thing I have always enjoyed about Cross' books is the quick plot. She doesn't waste a lot time setting the stage so to speak. You learn about the characters in a more organic way as you read about their adventures. This type of writing allows me to feel more engaged in the action and suspense because there is nothing to slow it down. Cross also writes great characters. Even though you aren't TOLD everything about Taylor, as you learn about her, you really connect. For me, Taylor made sense!
She didn't expect an extrovert like Charlie to understand it, but she wanted her friend to at least try to respect that for Taylor, being around a group of people for more than half an hour was tantamount to having the life force sucked right out of her.
I have made this exact statement to many people in my life. I work with people all day as a teacher and by 3:00, I can't handle any more crowds or noise. The thought of having to stop at the store on my way home after enduring hours of socialization is punishment. So yeah, I 'get' Taylor. I also loved that Logan didn't try to change her. He wanted her to come out of her shell, but he didn't want her to be different. Coming out of your shell with people you care about is totally different than hitting up clubs every weekend and having lots of parties. So, kudos to Logan for understanding the difference. Logan and Taylor grow closer as Taylor finds herself in more danger and their relationship and feelings progress in what feels like a natural way. I thought Cross struck a good balance between mortal peril and sexy times (difficult to do in a romantic suspense sometimes!)
Fast Kill is engaging, timely, and realistic in its portrayal of the characters and the government agents who are fighting the war on drugs! If you enjoy romantic suspense that dives right into the story, Kaylea Cross' Fast Kill is the perfect pick for a weekend binge read or day at the beach or pool! Also, as is true in most Cross books, you get a peek at the couple that will be featured in the next book!

I LOVE Kaylea Cross. She knows how to write action and suspense and she knows how to write romance and steamy love scenes. The combination is always satisfying.
That being said, this was an ok read for me, but of course I'm comparing this book to her other novels, which have been fantastic.
I liked the complexity of the characters, but the plot was not great. I'm not sure I understand why Taylor was such an important target. And I'm also not sure how the danger all of a sudden just ends. This book was entertaining...just not one of my favorites by this author.

Fast Kill is the second title in the DEA Fast series, although I believe it can be read as a standalone, having not read the previous title, I in no way at any time felt lost with the story line. Fast Kill is a story full of action, intrigue, drama and suspense and features the evolving romance of Taylor Kennedy and Logan Granger. This pair are complete opposites, but Ms Cross creates a pair of characters that although very different one quite geeky, and the other a complete alpha they complement each other perfectly.
Taylor is a forensic accountant, she's incredibly intelligent, quiet and reserved, and has a propensity to be a neat freak, quite obsessive compulsive. She is really quite a loner who prefers her own company to that of others, particularly large groups cause anxiety to raise it's head.
Logan is the newest member of the FAST Bravo unit, who are responsible for taking down drug cartels. He's an adrenaline junkie at heart and loves adventures in the great outdoors. He's in no way a neat freak, but completely caring and protective.
This is a well written, and fast paced romance that is sweet, yet intense at times. The twists and turns and conflict based around friendship and betrayal, kept me completely enthralled. A great blend of action, intrigue and suspense, and I look forward to more titles in this series.

Kaylea Cross needs no introduction and neither do her stories of war torn heroes, their trials and tribulations and their happily ever after.
Her latest DEA Fast Series g takes the readers into another team of military heroes as they battle the evil and finds love along the way. Second in the series, “Fast Kill” brings DEA special agent Taylor Kennedy and FAST Bravo agency Logan Granger together again as they battle Kennedy’s past that seems to threaten their future.
Kennedy’s shitty and violent childhood motivates her to go on a path to serve justice and that same past seems to bring danger to her door as her protector and savior from foster years ends up on the wrong side of the law. With a target on her head, from a deadly cartel, Kennedy gets under the protection of Logan and together they have to end the nightmare of violence, drugs and death.
Another fast paced read from Kaylea Cross, just enough passion and adrenaline to pleasure the readers.
Received an ARC from Kaylea Cross Inc. via NetGalley for an honest review.

ARC received for review
Another great book by Ms. Cross. Lots of action, suspense, danger, friends and hot bedroom scenes. Previous couples from other series make an appearance. Plus there's hints of who's up next.

I have read a few books by Kaylea Cross and each one has a fast pace story and enough pages a reader can finish the book in a day or savor it over a few days.
The romantic leads are very likable and for once an author lets two opposite people enjoy one another and no t try and change each other. The author allows the characters to understand the need the other has to be who they are and keep their identity while trying to figure out how to love each other. y while falling in love and racing against time and drug cartels.
Kaylea Cross was able to even bring readers to sympathize with the villain in the book.
There is sex, murder, mystery and adventure readers will love.
Thank you Netgalley for the Advance Copy.

This is the second in Kalylea Cross' DEA FAST series. I have not read the first one and had absolutely no problem picking up this second entry. Taylor Kennedy is the very definition of an introverted accountant. Because of her past, Taylor does not trust easily and most often prefers to be on her own, even though she does recognize her life is sometimes lonely. Which totally surprises her how quickly she lets FAST agent Logan Granger into her life. Fortunately, Logan is in her life when a dangerous part of Taylor's past comes back and threatens her career and her life.
Great romantic suspense that supports the theory that opposites just might attract. With a large cast of supporting characters, Cross can keep this series going for a while. And I for one would love to read more in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Another fast ready by Ms. Cross. Excellent writing and suspense.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book ,thanks to net galley and publisher for this opportunity
Another great romantic thriller from Kayleigh Cross, this is the second book in the DEA/FAST series. Taylor a forensic accountant and special agent with the DEA is quiet and unassuming with a terrible childhood behind her, and FAST Bravo member Logan Granger an alpha male not afraid of going after what he wants, and that's Taylor. Bring in the real Baddie who was a big part of Taylor's past, plans to murder Taylor, lots of action and heart pounding moments all make for a wonderful read. I will be awaiting the next book in great anticipation.

Wow! Fast Kill by Kaylea Cross is an excellent story with a well-structured plot and strong setting. Also, it has convincing dialogue by dynamic characters. Intricately woven within this fast-paced plot are love and loyalty, betrayal and moral change, intrigue and suspense.
At first glance, DEA Special Agent Taylor Kennedy and Bravo member Logan Granger are personality opposites. As the story progresses and Taylor ventures out of her comfort zone as a quiet forensic accountant it is easy to see why Ms. Cross paired these two together. They complement while counter balancing each other.
Fast Kill is a gripping impressive read. Fast Kill is the second in the Fast DEA Series but the first that I have read. It reads well on its own but now I can’t wait to read the first book that I have missed. Romantic Suspense is a favorite genre of mine, now I am adding Kylea Cross to my go to authors. I highly recommend this book to other romantic suspense fans.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.

3.5 Highly Addictive Stars
Thoroughly enjoyable romantic suspense that had me hooked from the first chapter. We follow DEA accountant Taylor Kennedy as her past and her present collide in the worst possible way. Brought up in the foster system with only Dillon Wainright to protect her, for three years, they have a firm bond of trust and friendship, protecting each other from the threats of abuse. That is all tested years later when Taylor recognises Dillon in some DEA footage. Also added to the mix is sexy DEA field agent Logan Granger. When Logan learns of Taylor and Dillon's past he swears he'll protect her. Is Dillon a threat to Taylor? He was so unpredictable, I was on tenderhooks, hoping he'd come through for her. Fast paced, told in multiple POV, Enjoyable and with some intense chemistry. I loved the characters, Taylor was so strong and grounded, a true heroine. Highly enjoyable addictive read.

Love anything by this author, and was thrilled to read this installment of her new series. Each book leaves me with a new book boyfriend.....and so little time:-)
