I did not enjoy this book at all, and could not finish it.

I found the violence and graphic detailing of it, together with the gruesome, complex storyline too hard to stomach.

What a first chapter!
I’ve always loved dark twisted thrillers that touch on torture and are brutally graphic. It’s one reason why I love Chris Carter books also.

This book, even though it touched on this was a little disappointing the further I read. The graphic description was detailed and despite the author having a complex storyline I couldn’t help think there was something lacking in the way the plot unfolded. It ended with a slightly unbelievable reveal that to me felt a little muddled.

Overall it was a good read and I would read this author again. He obviously has a great imagination so maybe his newer books I’d enjoy more.

Gruesome. Addictive. Thrilling. Viral can be deadly.

As people fall into the grip of the latest social media trend, what follows is a blood curdling series of murders. You seriously won't want to put this one down, although I recommend you line your stomach before reading.

A fabulous read.

I want to thank Bookouture for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This has been on my NetGalley shelf for a while now and I don't know why I waited so long to read it. This is my first book by this author and I am definitely interested in reading more of his books.

When I am reading my books I will keep notes and the first thing I wrote after reading just the first chapter was WOW this killer is twisted and I literally kept repeating that statement until the end although I said some more colorful things as well but I'm not going to put them in my review lol.

When I decided to read this I was a little intimidated by how many chapters it had. It has 130 chapters but none of them were really long. There was never a dull moment while reading this and I never knew who the killer was until it was revealed.

I will say this book is very descriptive and gory so if that's not something you are ok with then this book isn't for you. The murder scenes were very original. I don't think I have ever read anything as twisted as this before.

This was fast paced and twisted and I definitely recommend it if you can stomach all the gore.

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

I liked the premise and it started off promisingly but by the end I just kept wondering how many people could go missing before it dawned on Hazel that it was more than her documentary that was in serious trouble!

If you don't mind giving up a nights sleep this is the book for you. It has an explosive opening that will leave you gasping and after that you really just can"t put it down. I'll be looking out for more by Richard Parker.

WoW........What a book "Follow You by Richard Parker" I just love the way Richard Parker writes and I will be reading more of his books. So glad I discovered this talented author. From the very first page I was hooked. Plus, the characters in the book were believable and so addictive and loved Hazel I just want more from this author.
I found this book very tense, unputdownable. Absolutely brilliant and very highly recommended.

If you can guess the ending you are fibbing! This is such a multi-layered story with a cast of unnerving characters you’ll be left not knowing who to trust or where to turn. Highly recommend for an exciting read!

Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read this in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading this unique thriller and found it very interesting. I recommend it for people who enjoy a good serial killer thriller.
This is essentially about a serial killer who picks their victims from a Twitter feed for @BeMyKiller. The victims are then murdered in the way they suggested online.

I've read a lot of books from Bookouture, but I would have to say that Follow You is by far the most gruesome! The premise pulled me in and I was excited to see how the unique story would unravel. This book was well-written and very descriptive. I could imagine the gruesome murders as scenes from a horror movie. There were a few issues that I found with this one. It was too repetitive and there were a lot of characters to keep track of without much characterization. The end threw me for a loop because the killer came out of left field. However, I now have my eye on Richard Parker and can’t wait to see what else he puts out there. 3.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Richard Parker for the opportunity to read Follow You. It was my pleasure to write an honest review.

Follow You by Richard Parker is a book I have been wanting to read since it’s release in May 2017. I had the pleasure of reading Parker’s second Bookouture release, Hide and Seek at the start of September and confessed then exactly how much in love I was with Follow You without even reading a word. To check out that review click HERE. I had based my adoration purely on the reviews, the fact that so many readers pointed out how gory it is and that stunning cover (I’m moth-a-phobic, by the way!).

It had a lot to live up and it and it surpassed my expectations! This is exactly the style of book that I devour. It has the feel of a horror film in the making (not that I actually watch horror films….ever!), it doesn’t hold back on the detail (some gory) and the reader rarely has a moment to draw breath before the next heart-stopping moment. I absolutely loved it.

I tweet. I tweet a lot actually and tend to get into trouble for sharing too many awesome book review posts. But imagine if a killer took to Twitter with the tag @BeMyKiller. Would you be tempted to tweet them, to poke the sleeping tiger with a big sharp pointy stick? No, I wouldn’t either but in Parker’s terrifyingly good story that’s exactly what happens. After all, what’s the worse that can happen? It’s just a wind-up, right? Wrong – wrong with a capital W! Bait the killer and you could be next. One of my favourite things about Follow You is the way in which the killer disposes of their victims. Each method is unique and perfectly in line with the taunting phrase used to provoke the killer to act. It’s wonderful, gory and so compulsive I couldn’t put it down.

Hazel Salter is the owner of a documentary production company which recently won an Emmy but business certainly isn’t booming. When Meredith Hickman is murdered after tweeting @BeMyKiller Hazel comes up with a plan – to take a crew to Broomfield and conduct her own investigation. After all, Hazel has her own theory which the police refuse to consider. Before they start work on the documentary, the crew settle down for the night at Fun Central, the location where Meredith Hickman’s mangled body was discovered. Fuelled by alcohol and a hefty dose of bravado, they take to WhatsApp to bait the killer in private. But the killer is watching…

Chilling, thrilling and completely engrossing. I adored Parker’s plotting, the speed with which the body count increased and the quite astonishing ways the characters were killed off. It was a joy for me to read and I savoured every last moment, even the icky ones! And that staggeringly good ending – WOAH! It was so beautifully choreographed that I did a little happy dance. Those final scenes will stay with me for a long, long time.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, it’s brilliant. If you want to miss out then that’s your choice but you’ll be a fool to pass this one by (although you may need a strong stomach for certain parts so I know it won’t appeal to everyone). I’ll happily say it again, I loved it and wish every book I picked up was like this one. Engrossing, gross and dark – my perfect read.

Five out of five stars

(NB. One day, Richard Parker and Bookouture, ONE DAY I promise – hand on heart – to get the title of this book right; Follow You, NOT Follow Me….I’m easily confused! My apologies to you all for getting it SO wrong, SO many times in the past. Doh!)

Ok - this book hooks you straight from the beginning. It has everything I love - a completely psychotic killer that brings you some horrifying deaths. And there's a Black Mirror episode that pretty much exemplifies what this book also puts out. A viral account that inadvertently causes deaths. Oh how easy it is to post something or do something behind the screen of a computer.... but those actions do have consequences.

Reading like a horror movie, this definitely gives you the chills and thrills vibe you're looking for. With unique killing methods that tickled my morbid mind, I'll certainly be on the look out for more from the author.

I was drown to this book as soon as I saw it. The combination of a potential serial killer, a social media twist and the documentary angle just sounded too good to resist. I found myself literally flying through the pages trying to discover what would happen next and who was behind it all.

There is no doubt this story introduces one of the most twisted and disturbing serial killers I’ve read about in a long time. A little warning for those with a weak stomach: some of the scenes are quite graphic as the killer doesn’t mind ‘getting his hands dirty’ so to speak. They do set the right creepy and gloomy atmosphere for the book and the setting in an abandoned amusement park only adds to that. I also liked the social media angle and the whole Twitter ‘Be My Killer hastag’ serial killer idea. I’ve seen social media used quite a lot in psychological thrillers lately, but this plot is without doubt quite original. Talking about the plot, it’s impressive how many plot twists are stacked on top of each other in Be My Killer. You literally don’t know who’s next and what happens next until the very moment you are reading it and even though I had a few ideas who might be behind it, the story mostly kept proved me wrong. There’s something to say about the credibility of the plot and I didn’t exactly like every character, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and had a great time reading this story.

Recommended if you like the genre and don’t mind gory details and a graphic scene or two.

Way over the top, unnecessarily gory, way too many characters to get to grips with, and in my opinion should be categorised as 'Horror' rather than Psych-Thriller.

Recommended for fans of horror/thriller.

Thanks to Bookouture for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I could imagine this being made into a teen horror flick!! I would say it's more horror than mystery and thriller: a gruesome read that's not for the faint hearted.

An online prank goes viral and before you know it, there's a spate of gruesome murders. It's perhaps best not to read this on a full stomach! You'll find yourself shouting at characters to change their plans because you know what's coming!

A great read that fans of serial killers and horror will love. Four shiny stars from me!

Enjoyable read but I just wanted more, Mr Parker writes well and I'm sure I will enjoy other books he writes more than this one.

Absolutely completely and utterly gruesome and brilliant. What an imagination the author has. Looking forward to reading more of his books.

I picked this book up on a whim and I am so glad that I did. I had it read in just over a day because it was just so addictive to read and had one of the most twisted stories that I have ever read in a book. If was at times reminiscent of Chris Carter (my favourite crime author) in terms of how brutal it was. If you don't like your crime dark, twisted and with a large helping of horror, then do not pick up this book. Me? I couldn't get enough of it and wanted MORE horror.

The basic premise is that people have been Tweeting the @BeMyKiller account with ways that they want to be killed. With millions tweeting the account, just what would be the chances of anything happening to you? Something like this in real life would be closed down right away however for the sake of fiction it's left up long enough for a list of people to be killed in such creative ways and it leads to one murder at an amusement park. Hazel Salter's friend Meredith is the victim and this leads to documentary maker Hazel, desperate for that next big break to save her company to start to film a documentary at the abandoned amusement park and to interview a myriad of people involved with the killings. Friends, family and the creator of the Twitter account themselves. What follows is a gloriously twisted and totally addictive read.

One of my favourite things about this book has to be the setting. There's few things more eerie or scary than abandoned theme parks and amusement parks and this setting is probably one of my favourite ever settings. It was used effectively in ramping up the terror and horror felt by the reader but I felt there was room to make it even more of a gruesome read (not sure what that says about me because this book is seriously fucked up). The whole scene is set perfectly that it plays out in your head vividly and like a movie. Each setting is used to create some truly unforgettable scenes and the whole book itself is crying out to be made into a horror movie. In the vain of the Saw films is how I would describe the killings however they are very inventive and certainly not copycats of things that have come before. It takes a lot to turn my stomach but some of these scenes did almost make me feel sick. But I just could not take my eyes off the page as I read, the same way that a horror film might be scary but I am not looking away from that screen.

In terms of the characters there's a lot of them and not all of them are likeable. Some of them get their comeuppance and rather than lamenting their demise I was cheering the killer on the whole way. Hazel herself is an intriguing character, supposedly acting with altruistic intentions and in memory of her friend, she makes some rather questionable choices and her determination to make this documentary such a success portrays her in quite a negative light. I can't mention other characters because their role in the story should be discovered for yourselves. In terms of the killer themselves I felt we were lacking scenes following them and getting a greater understanding of what made them what they were. Most stories centring around murder often feature scenes from the murderers point of view however that wasn't the case here which I felt was a shame. That said the action very rarely lets up from the word go and I couldn't read quick enough to discover how everything was going to end.

I have no hesitation in recommending this book and I can't wait to read more from Richard Parker.
