This must be one of the best novels that I have read in a long time. It was one of those novels that I had no desire to rush, as I was enjoying to much to do so. I never guessed from one page to the next, what would happen. So many twists! Even the ending didn't quite turn out how I expected it to. I will not write what the story is about for fear of spoiling for others, but I do highly recommend.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers. This is my honest review.

This is an enjoyable mystery set in Alexandria, Egypt, in the 1890s. The main character, Olivia, was well developed and very much likeable. Unfortunately I can't say this about he other characters. Edward was flat, "the good guy" that you can always find in a romance. The evil one, Alistair, was cruel but not smart enough. The rest of the characters were simply annoying.
The setting was nice, although I think it could have been described better.
The mystery case was interesting and intriguing. The story was neither too fast nor too slow, and it was easy to read.
As a summary, this is an easy, fast read, ideal for someone who wants to clear the mind with a rapid read.
